Okay y'all my first ingenuiTEA teapot traveled from 1 job to another, then made it through a house fire only for me to lose my favorite teapot EVER somehow while in the process of moving back into my house. However got their hands on my ingenuiTEA, I hope you love it as much as I did! I got another and it is treating me as well as the first. Hot tea, iced tea, easy to clean and ready for the next cup pronto. Never have to think about tea bags ever again.

This is soooo convenient. The only drawback is that it starts to look kinda grungy after a while. So either I havent figured out how to get the tea 'stain' out and reduce the cloudy look of the plastic or it just is the way it is. But I do like using it!

This is pretty nifty, but it doesnt fot every size cup. You need to be careful. The rubber stopper in mine broke off. I was told by CS I must've forcibly removed the bottom. I'm pretty sure I didn't do that, and the warranty period has ended. My bad luck.
The concept of how this helps to make loose leaf tea is genius. The filter is fine enough to prevent rooibos from sneaking through into your cup. It works much better than the filter basket in the ceramic mugs. I have bought both this and the IngenuiTEA2. The only feature this has over the other is that this one has marks on the back side for 4, 8, and 12 oz. The filter basket is not removable on this one. The shape is also round instead of oval. That might make a difference in what size container/ cup it fits over. Neither is big enough to fit over the glass jumbo cup that is sold here but both will fit over a standard mug.
Although I have six teapots____at one time I thought I needed one for each different tea___ I still make most of my tea in this. I purchased this one for a friend since it's definitely my favorite. my only suggestion to improve it would be a mark on the side for 1/2, 1, and 1 1/2 cups. Although from continued use you about know where that would be. Really must try out your slightly larger version. Hey this one does have measurement marks on side!!

Leaks... very disappointed. My previous one worked great but fell off the kitchen counter and broke so I bought a new one. This one does not work well at all.

I do wish the bottom was wider to fit on my favorites tall latte mugs.
It also needs a base to sit on to catch drips. After several months of use it leaks a little while it’s steeping.
This is a dream. It. is easy to use and even better to clean. Gives the perfect steep and easy to pour right in my cup
Best tea 'device 'EVER! There are many similar devices but none compare. This tea 'pot' is an altogether device..no parts that one can loose when washing the device. I have had experience with those! This tea 'pot' gives loose tea lots of room to steep. Great Great! Love it!
This was a gift but my sister-in-law says she loves it!
Waste of money. Leaks all over the place, even when I pull down on the release mechanism to seal the stopped (which I shouldn’t have to do). I’ve tried everything, but it continues to flood my countertops. Really disappointed.
Bought this for my daughter in law who saw mine & wanted to try it. She loves it. UPDATE: I bought my daughter in laws mom one & she likes it. It's a great gift. May need to buy as my Christmas gifts for 13 friends in Dec.2025
Fabulous teapot for making loose tea. Perfect size for the office and for travel. I have the larger one for home use and keep a smaller one in my overnight bag so that I can always have a perfect cup.
Love this tea infuser work perfect and the measurements on the side make sure I brew the right amount for whatever vessel I plan to drink my tea out of.
Such a great idea. Just make sure you take it apart to properly clean it so it doesn’t mold

This is my second IngenuiTEA, and I love it. The first one broke because I tried forcing the bottom off to clean it, which I didn't need to do. Simply running vinegar through it is good enough for cleaning.
When my old one fell off the counter and finally broke after many years and many cups of tea, it was time to replace with no question of what replacement.
I love my IngenuiTEA. I liked the first one so much that I got another to use at work, a third to leave at our vacation house and another for a friend.
great product and good for the money its durable and easy to clean and if you are going to use it again shortly you can just rinse it out and does not require you to wash it out each time.

I purchased this to use with my giant collection of loose leaf teas, and found it also woks great for my thai tea that I make at home. This is so helpful, especially for cold teas! My favorite local tea shop has used them for years, not long after I joined this website's user base, and I can't believe it's taken me so long to hop on this particular item's popularity train.
Really nice product. I had a hard time getting the filter out the first time but it was just the first time, after that it’s been easy (if you also have the same issue, try a breaking motion on the handle instead of pulling it and it should work). I’ve dishwashed it and it has survived without issues.
No issues with leaking either. If you have issues with leaking, make sure it’s properly aligned and the part that moves is connected all the way through.
I’m considering getting the “iced tea” version, which is the exact same thing, except bigger. Great product!

I love the bottom-dispensing teapot. It's ideal for my black teas because I can make a single serving, as well as several infusions on the same leaves. I love discovering how the brew changes with each infusion.

I would give this a 5 Star Review if the filter was removable. Otherwise, it's a nifty little brewing device. Took me a while to learn that the filter is removable...lol. It does cloud up, but a Mr Clean Magic Eraser fixes that.
Handy and simple. Figured I'd give this a shot after finding that I couldn't brew tea as strongly as I'd like with a tea ball filter, the ingenuiTEA brews a perfect 12-14 oz cup for my liking as the teas have plenty of room to expand when I load up an extra teaspoon
Nice tea maker. Lots of space for larger Oolong tea leaves to expand, and an excellent extra fine strainer. No tea leaves pass thru the micro screen. Unlike others I have had no issue removing the filter and putting it back together after cleaning. I disassemble and clean once a week.

I love the versatility of this item. I use it to make hot tea, as well as iced tea. I prefer my iced tea a bit strong since I’m adding ice and it dilutes the brewing. I’m able to see how dark the tea is when brewing due to the design. Really, every tea lover should have one of these.
I love these infuser and more circular shape of this model compared to the more oval one has been easier for me to clean. Note that the lid pops off SUPER easy while cleaning, which made me panic that I'd broken it at first, but it does this whenever I knock it in the sink and it always goes back on easily (and stays secure when not being banged in sinks)! The lid detachment definitely makes for easier drying too, which I appreciate!
