Ok, so first the good stuff. This is a great water filter, it works about twice as fast as the Brita pitchers and the resulting water tastes better IMHO. The overall design is very slick and functional, I like the size and design of the reservoir at top, and the capacity is plenty for most things without making the pitcher obnoxiously large. However, I have two criticisms. The first is that, as other reviewers have mentioned, the lid is difficult to take off. Not impossible, but mildly frustrating. You should only have to do that about every two months so it's not a big deal. The second issue was that the filter replacement timer on mine came broken, forcing me to set a reminder on my calendar. Again, a minor issue which doesn't really affect functionality. Overall, I believe it is a very worthwhile investment, and I'm glad that I picked this pitcher over a Brita, but I wanted to note those two issues.
the filter is extremely good! does a great job of filtering fast. just wish it came in a larger size.

A very good product. We were given this as a gift. Had previously used a couple of other pitcher water filters and was not impressed. This one works well, definitely taking out the chlorine smell from our water and making it taste a lot better. Filters for us last a long time because we do also have a whole house filter on the water line. The additional refill filters are pretty inexpensive for the great job they do. Not too bad to take apart and clean out. My only complaint it that it really isn't big enough. Even though the pitcher is large, once you fill the top, you get 1/2 a pitcher of water.
It filters quickly, the water tastes great. My timer does not work and when I got it a tiny piece had broken off near where the filter goes. Luckily, it did not affect the pitcher operation. Tea and coffee do taste better when I use the water from the gravitea. It's good however it didn't blow me away.
The quality of this water filter is beyond anything I have used before (Brita included). I would recommend this for anyone living in the country.

After a rough start getting the right product this purifier works very well. It is nice to know we are drinking clean water.

It does as advertised. Filters water and does it quick. The water definitely tastes cleaner. I like it. The only thing that is a bit frustrating is that I can't get the digital indicator to work.
This does clear the water very quickly and is very easy to use. I especially love that you can fill it straight through the lid without having to remove it (unlike my Brita pitcher). I would definitely recommend this.
Update: I think it's been two years, and I still love this pitcher. However, like others have said, the display/battery pack don't hold up well, and I've wrenched them out of the lid. Otherwise, it's still fantastic.

The cheapest water filtration system on the market! It's fantastic if you don't get a broken one.
I mainly drink white tea and I really needed a water filter since regular tap water darkens my tea and gives it a horrible taste and using water bottles is expensive and cumbersome. Brita is horrible (bacteria builds up easily and chemicals leak out, not to mention the liver warning that's on every box).
So I decided to look up a tea water filter and found this. To be fair, I've been using this filter with EveryDrop by Whirlpool, so that might be why my water is amazing. My white tea is as good if not better than when I was using bottled water. It comes out almost perfectly--a clear, crisp brew.
If the above doesn't convince you, let me just say that the design of the pitcher is amazing. Easy to fill up, never leaks, and never spills when you pour. Only downside is that it's a bit small (8 cups of water max).

Gave one as a gift. Compared to Brita, works several times faster and has as better mechanical design as well as a more comfortable handle.
It works well and Adagio is pretty good about getting new filters to you, but we found it more convienent to go with a brand that offered larger sized pitchers with filters more readily available.
I've had the first one for a couple of years and am ready for another to take to work.
I love this purifier! The only scruple that I have, is that I can't seem to get the display to work. Other then that though this is probably the best purifier that I have ever used!
Update:: December 26 '14.
After a move across the country I wound up ordering another of these. I'm proud to say that I do still love this purifier, but with the same downfall that my last had, the filter timer does not work. For me it isn't a huge deal, I doubt that I would really pay much attention to it, but if you are looking to get this purifier because of the timer display you may want to rethink. But aside from that single design flaw, this purifier is absolutely amazing!
WE HAVE USED THIS FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS. We love IT. Easy TO USE.
I never did get the timer working, for whatever reason, but I enjoy this pitcher regardless. It makes water from my home tap drinkable plain, which naturally improves tea or anything else I use it for, and does it fast.
The water passes through the filter quickly and tastes great. I use it mainly for water in my electric, glass tea kettle to prevent buildup. It's been a month and no sign of build up yet. We use the kettle 3-4 times daily and fill the picture daily. However, the electronic monitor on top never worked. I studied the underside of the monitor and was unable to figure out how it would even monitor the filter life.
This is an outstanding water filter container! We've recommended it to friends and use ours regularly. Occasionally when we order more tea, the order arrives with a FREE filter for the graviTEA. Lovely!
Probably my favorite thing I've ever bought from this website! It works very quickly and there is a noticeable change in water taste when I use the graviTEA. My only complaint is the cost of the filters, but even then it's fairly reasonable.
This is the best way to make hot tea or cold tea. I wouldn't make tea without it. It is so easy to use.
Filters water well. I have difficulty getting the lid on so that it is tight and will still pour.
I love this! It filters quickly and the water tastes so clean. Well, it doesn't really have a taste which is clean to me. The little 'trap door' on top for pouring in water is a very nice feature. Just pour your water on the clear piece and it'll press itself down to let the water in. Once there's no weight on it it'll pop back up.
Amazing! love it more than my britta, and that's saying something!
I have graviTEA and a Brita pitcher at work so I can drink the tap water. They both are equally nice and take the chlorinated taste away. If you don't already have a Brita and you buy your tea regularly from Adagio, then this graviTEA pitcher is the way to go
I'm liking this so far. It definitely turns gross sink water, which is our only water source outside of water bottles, into something much more drinkable. I love that it filters very quickly. Pretty pleased so far.
I love this little device and even take it with me when I travel. I've bought several for some friends who like it as well.
A nice set up although the refills are a bit pricey. I only use it in the summer as a refrigerator pitcher because I have private well water because I live in the sticks. I do not have all of that city crap to filter out. If this is something you would use regularly then sure why not. I received this free with my purchase a while back and I recently also received a filter free with my last order so I can't complain...
Excellent way to brew loose tea for more than one person
The water in my neighborhood isn't bad. Our fridge filter works well when we have power, but this is great for when we're drinking from the faucet because the power's gone out, which it does at least once a year, in the summer when temps demand we drink lots of water.
I love the GraviTEA, not just for purified water to make my tea, but also for nice cold, clean drinking water!
I use this pitcher daily at work, and the filter delivers very good tasting water. Good ergonomics and design.
I love the shape of this pitcher, and the ease of filling it without having to lift a lid. The filters work quickly, and the water comes out tasting pure and wonderful. My only caveat is that changing the filter is a little bit challenging with arthritis. I accidentally snapped off one of the prongs that holds the lid in place. The lid still goes back on securely, but I am always nervous about changing the filter.
I am so happy i bought the water purifier, because it makes my tea taste so much better.
Quick filter leaves water with 0 taste which is how it should be. i only wish it was a little bigger
