OK, so I was hoping to cheat a little -- I thought this would come with both the infuser and the lid/coaster piece, but it's just the infuser. So I'll have to get the whole cup set, even though I don't need another mug! It's still a nice design, and makes it easy to enjoy loose tea at the office.

this is my second mikado teapot, i love it, can't live with it. this teapot is not easy to break if you are careful, if you are not careful, blam yourself, don't blam the teapot.

This item works so well with my Mikado tea pot and I really love using them togehter. It's a nice duo for making tea and keeping it warm.

I love the Mikado teapot, it sits very elegantly on the teapot warmer. The glass is very sturdy and easy to clean.

this teapot has kept my happily sipping tea for an entire night and is fabulous for having tea with others. the filter does get a bit clogged at times but is easy to clean. i like being able to heat up the tea with a microwave; it's beautiful to look at; and it does not leak/spill. the glass does require that i am mindful but it is not terribly fragile.

This warmer is a wonderful addition to the Senso Teapot. It keeps the tea at just the right temperature and looks beautiful too.

I bought this tea pot as a gift for a friend. I am very disappointed with how fragile it is. The spout already has a chip. The use of the word STURDY in the description is very misleading.

THE ONLY PLACE on the net i could find just the infuser. mine broke several months ago...

What a useful and attractive accessory. Very clean and contemporary in appearance, keeps the tea hot enough but not so hot that the tea gets bitter like some other warmers

I was very happy to find a replacement at such a reasonable price. Be careful when you clean it. I broke my other one when I was too vigorous with it. Tea leaves tend to get stuck in the openings at the bottom. I recommend a soft brush.

Accidentally dropped into the sink and broke my original infuser. They are a bit delicate, so be careful. I love using tempered glass to brew--it's the best.

I was almost afraid to order this product because of some of the reviews on it's fragility, having five cats, and my less than graceful nature. However, despite it all, I had to have a glass teapot. Having put my hands on it to see the stability of it, I am quite at ease. Some people have made the filter in sound like it is made of light bulb glass. This is not true. The filter is very sturdy, I would compare the thickness to a small orange juice glass you might get at a waffle house. Of you course you still have to be careful of the whole thing because yes, it is glass. However, I am very satisfied with this piece, and I would recommend it to anyone who appreciates the visual appeal of fine tea.

A great teapot for brewing loose leaf teas...easy to use and easy cleanup...I wish that I'd owned one a long time ago! I know that I'll be drinking a lot more tea in the future.

I love this teapot. It is lovely and makes a beautiful presentation. One Problem to be aware of is that it doesn't work with all types of tea. I drink gemmai cha pop tea sometimes and this tea does not allow the water to flow freely through the leaves. It must be strickly "leaf" tea.

I love the Mikado for it's good looks and amount of tea you can make, but the glass strainer is easy to break (I did this twice already: thank goodness for replacement parts) and the thin glass means the tea gets cold quickly. Use of a teapot warmer or having a microwave handy is recommended.

This tea pot is good, but it is very fragile. You have to be exceptionally carefull with it.

Don't think that this tea pot is super fragile because its not!! While I'm sure that it can break, its very sturdy and very classy looking - wonderful for serving guests or just to make a big pot of tea for you self.

Well, I had to get this for my tea cup from Adagio because the original broke after about a week, despite being handled carefully. Pieces of tea often get caught in the slits making it difficult to clean (and the fragile slits are what chipped and made my first one unusable). However, it is one of the prettiest ways to enjoy a cup of tea, and the replacement was not too expensive.

I purchased the 70 oz. Mikado Teapot. It is great! I love to watch the color change as the tea brews. I am thinking of purchasing a second one.

Fantastic tea pot!!! Exactly what a tea connaisseur should own. A good size for 2 but a bigger pot is needed for a party.

Very nice for making tea and also visually. Unfortunately very delicate. We broke the lid the first week. I recommend this pot, but be very careful cleaning it.

This teapot has a happy round shape that is comforting and classic all at the same time. There's no better teapot material than glass for enhancing the beauty of tea, and it's fun to watch the leaves unfurling while you wait. The Mikado is a great pot for personal use, or for comfy tea parties with friends. Sturdy enough to last a lifetime!

This is a beautiful teapot, but that is all it is. For parties it is great but for everyday use choose something else

What a wonderful way to brew tea. I love the teapot and the warmer. It's the only way to make tea!

I read many reviews before getting this teapot, and ordered it despite the cautions of it's being easy to damage. I love that pot! It gets a thorough use each morning. A bottle brush cleans the infuser chamber quickly and easily. You must handle it with care, and if you do, it rewards you with a beautiful pot of tea. I highly recommend it!

It not only looks wonderful but does a great job at keeping the tea pot warm! Highly recommended.

I just bought the Mikado Teapot and am extremely happy with it. It is not only very functional, but is a beautiful addition to my table. My guests and I really enjoy watching the tea leaves unfurl and tea liquid darken to a beautiful color.

This pot is so delicate - it is truly an event to use it - I feel like a queen and it makes the presentation of the tea outstanding!!
