I really like the flexibility of this teapot. I can choose just the right amount of tea every time I brew some. It is attractive and easy to clean.
Great pot! Got it as a gift for friends and it's nice seeing the leaves float through it and super easy to clean!
Seems very nice so far. Fragile but nice. I love the set when you get the other pieces with the same glass.
I love this glass teapot! It's so cute and it pours beautifully. As far as the temperature of the tea goes, it doesn't keep it as hot as when you first brew it but it will still be pretty warm if you go back for a second glass in a timely manner. What I find it's good for is when I need to make tea for multiple people at the same time. It's the perfect brewing vessel to steep tea for 3 to 4 people. It comes with a stainless steal infuser and yes some tea dust gets into the tea but its not a bad amount. I haven't tried finer teas like Rooibos but I would probably use a paper tea bag at those times. Overall a great purchase!
My pot broke before being able to use it. I'm heartbroken. It's entirely too fragile. I'm surprised the glass is so thin with having to be heat safe. I would strongly advise Adagio to manufacture a teapot that will not need a warranty, something they can stand behind without it.
I love this teapot. Easy to clean and the right amount of tea for two or three people. this is a glass teapot and make sure gentle wash and take care of it.
This is my third one of the glass tea pot. Yes, I broke two of them.. they're glass and who knows how long I had them before they bit the dust. I re-ordered a third, my experience up to this point has been fine. Stuff happens!
However, I'd like to refine my review after using the new pot a time or two.
1st - it's a dumbed down version of the original two. Both of those had 2 part infusers, with a separate lid. Quite convenient as you could simply catch the bail wire on the top of the infuser insert, remove the infuser with the tea leaves intact. Then simply put the cover on the pot. NOT THIS MODEL - infuser is a one piece, no bail hook; no ease of infuser with tea leaves intact.. Burning fingers now that you have to grab the infuser with a finger or two. Cheapened it up, made it LESS user friendly.. Bad move
2nd, there is just a slight drip or dribble when I pour my tea, again bad design, or bad manufacturing, a built in defect to the pot and it's spout.
Finally, it just feels cheap compared to the 2 former versions.
Sorry, when this one breaks, and it will, I'm no going back.
How do you measure the tea and water rati.Ho do you this with loose leaf teas
I love it. I Accidentally snapped the spout off of it because its very weak where the spout hits the pot. My mom fixed it though and ive had no problems since.
You must make sure to hold the lid down when you pour it. It can be delicate, and I suspect it would break very easily if I did not handle it with the utmost care. But it's a very reliable teapot with a great capacity, and a very consistent and steady pour.
Love this teapot had to get two one for me n my granddaughter she loves it also
My grandma adores this. I had such a nice tea with her
I would be lost without this tea pot. I have two of them, one at home and one at work. It is extremely easy to maintain, with or without a sink (the infuser is large enough to reach my hand in and swipe a paper towel around to remove leaf dregs), looks gorgeous on my desk or counter, and is plenty big enough to share a cuppa with anyone who happens to be in my home or office!
I love to make cucumber or fresh fruit infused water chilled. So pretty and use it daily. Get tall pitcher too as glass is wonderful!
Great pot. Its my third one - husband has a love/hate relationship with washing the tea pot. It isn't particularly easy to break, but it's glass so its not hard either. Brews up a great pot of tea. enough for four to six cups (or one really, really huge cup).
bought it again after it broke with three months of use :( I think it's a very nice teapot but it does feel very delicate, the glass is not very sturdy. Like many others say in the reviews, please please keep your hand on the lid otherwise it will fall and break the teapot spout. This is what happened to me unfortunately. Otherwise nice pot. I wish it was a bit cheaper considering how thin the glass is.
This is elegant with the shape of a genie lamp mixed with an English tea pot. I love that the infuser comes out because I prefer to place my loose leaf tea directly in the pot to let the leaves expand as fully as they desire. It is a thin glass that is sturdy and yet light to hold and pour. Every once in awhile, I’ll rinse it and cleanse it with baking soda to make its clear look shine most beautifully.
I've handled it carefully, as others have noted that this is fragile. No damage so far. This teapot is more aesthetic than the traditional ones because you can watch the tea steep. Also good size for entertaining guests.
works great when you want large batches of tea. would be great for guests but i usually use it when i want a lot of tea to sip on throughout the night
I bought this teapot for making and serving tea that has butterfly pea flowers in it. I am so impressed with how light and delicate it is. The handle is nicely ergonomic, and there's no danger of me touching hot glass while pouring. I am worried that I'll break it sooner rather than later; but I'm putting that day off as long as I can by taking a few precautions. Most importantly, I kept the box that the teapot came in, and as soon as I'm done using it, it gets rinsed and dried and put back for protection. I also take the glass lid off and leave it on the table before I pour from the pot. Finally, I don't handle the infuser basket while it's hot, so I don't accidentally drop it onto anything that could crack. Hopefully I'll get at least a couple of years of enjoyment out of the teapot with these protective measures, but if not, well... it wasn't as expensive as other glass teapot options out there.
Amazing! It always makes the perfect cup of tea and I love it!
awesome teapot- perfect size! very happy with this purchase!
This teapot may seem fragile, but it holds up extraordinarily well! I love being able to see the tea brewing, which is why I prefer it over the ceramic ones. Plus, this teapot holds 5 cups. Perfect for me! *Update* Years later, and the teapot is still going strong. I did have to by a new lid, because i dropped mine on my tile floor. Oops. But being able to replace just the lid is great! *Update* Still love my glass teapot! Get a tea cozy, and it will help keep your tea warm for a couple hours!
I really like this tea pot. Besides looking pretty on my stove, it's a great size for several cups of tea on a Sunday morning and it pours nice without dripping all over.
A little more delicate than I thought it would be. The first tea we made was the tangerine tuxedo. Fun to use and looks great too.
This tea pot breaks easily. But keeps tea hot for long time.
I've had this beautiful teapot for many years and love it. It's elegant and great for drinking a good quantity of tea over a period of a few hours. I occasionally break the lid through my own carelessness, but they're affordable so it's not devastating.
Ugh so darling and cute! I love having Otón my coffee table filled with tea! Obviously be gentle when placing it down as it is all glass but I’ve had no problems with it, it’s lovely and great! I love that it comes with a steeper too!
Perfect size for having a couple friends over and enjoying together.
A beautiful teapot, but very delicate. Take care when using it as the body becomes very hot!
This holds more tea than I realized probably 4 generous cups and it’s great for showing off pretty tea like the Bella Luna (which is blue) or a blossoming tea- but I have to say that it is really delicate. After about 6 weeks of use the glass top fell off (very easily) and shattered. Also because it’s glass the tea doesn’t stay warm as long, so I would recommend making only as much tea as you need.
It's the perfect size for someone like me who likes to drink a lot of tea in one sitting. I make a pot of this, almost every evening, whenever I sit down to do paperwork, giving me 3-4 mugs of warm to room temperature tea. I don't mind when tea gets cool but I have the pot warmer on standby for guests.
Great for brewing the perfect cup of tea ~~ Love it! Just make sure you hold the lid while pouring.
Really nice looking and easy to clean. Not very insulated, but that's to be expected.
Aesthetically one of the best pieces on adagio.com. The strainer is a nice size but the lid can fall off and break very easily, which it has...
This is one of the best tea pots I've had the pleasure of using. Pour cuts off neatly every time with no drips. Only negative is that it doesn't keep the tea as warm as something like a cast iron pot would.
This teapot is wonderful! It's massive, and gives the tea leaves plenty of room to expand. It seems fairly durable, though I've decided not to test this reading some of the other reviews. It's clear, and the only bubbles I found were tiny and in the lid. My only complaint is that the filter has no holes in the bottom, but this is easily excusable and is really only personal preference.
This pot also taught me a valuable lesson about pacing myself. I drank three pots worth of tea (5 litres) within three hours. I became dizzy and I think I gave myself water poisoning (look it up, it's a thing.) If anyone drinks tea like that, I'd be very careful if you buy a large pot like this.
This works great, especially if you are a frequent tea drinker, and like to rebrew. Very nice looking as well!
This is the best Teapot that I have owned to date, and I have a lot of tea pots. The spout pours without dripping and it is really fun watching the tea as it changes colors. This is the best little pot, and, pretty to look at. It is very light weight which surprised me because most tea pots are heavy. I Love this teapot
The best teapot I’ve ever bought. The infuser is great & pot is easy to clean!
This is a nice teapot. However, it can be somewhat fragile. My experience with laboratory grade boro-silicate glassware lead me to believe it would be somewhat tougher, but a relatively gentle bump on my kitchen sink cracked the spout.
All in all it is good if you are less clumsy than I am.
I tend to need to look at my tea while it's infusing since my taste buds can be picky (I like it stronger than most recommendations, but not too strong), so this is perfect. The strainer is wide enough to accommodate oolongs, too.
love it. classy clean light. so light i fear that i might swing around and break it into something. looks fragile but with good handle and care you shouldnt have a problem. does the job right and fills all my cups at home when the kids are requesting a refrshing hot cup of tea.
This teapot is fantastic, the flavor of my brewed teas were even better than with my old teapot. Which sadly got a hairline fracture. I also giggle each time I use it because I feel like I should rub it and get three tea wishes!
These are some wonderful tea pots. The beautiful clarity and color of this delicious tea is beautiful to behold using these wonderful tea pots.
Yes, it is very disappointing. The Kettle is mad of such thin class that the nose broke off after couple of washes.
I am so incredibly disappointed! I bought this teapot on my birthday IN DECEMBER and IT JUST BROKE. IT DIDN'T EVEN MAKE 2 MONTHS. I was washing dishes and it bumped into a mug and broke. It is now completely unusable and basically still new. This is unacceptable.
This teapot makes a nice amount of tea for one person and sits nicely on my teapot warmer so I can take my time sipping the tea.
I have a couple of these teapots, and I purchased one for my brother as well. They're so lovely for brewing and enjoying your tea...I like being able to see my tea when I am drinking it. They are much sturdier than they appear as well. I am quite careful with my things, but I have a small child and three large dogs, so things happen, get knocked around, and it has stood up to it quite well.
This teapot broke the very first time we went to use it. The top fell off and shattered the spout. DO NOT buy!
