Not as heavy and sturdy as some, but seal seems to be good and it certainly is pretty.
Great looking, high quality container. My only complaint is that it does not hold as much as I expected. The description next to the add to cart symbol says 14oz, but in reality the container is not much bigger than the 4oz tins offered on the site.
These glass jars are a great way to store your tea while at the same time knowing which tea is in which jar. I was tired of using opaque containers at work and having to go through each one to find the tea I wanted. The jar looks very elegant on my desk filled with White Peach tea! I will be buying more.
I ordered this when I realized that Adagio no longer was shipping tea in tins :( It's very nice, seals well, looks good and keeps the tea fresh. My only complaint? If you sell the tea in 16oz bags, why are the glass canisters 14oz?

These jars are actually very elegant and nice. I love hearing the air rush out of them as I secure the airtight lid. Always a reassuring sound.
Wonderful way to store tea and decorate my kitchen. The only done side is that is a little on the small side for holding voluminous white teas.
The jar is beautiful on the counter--it really shows off the tea nicely. The glass is thick enough that it feels relatively sturdy and the jar seals well. I highly recommend this jar!
beautiful jar and presentation - simple, strong, and classy. i recommend purchasing one if you drink a tea regularly and buy the biggest refill size bag - fill the jar, hide the bag, refill the jar as needed...
I have been looking for glass jars to store my tea that comes in bags. I only wish there was also a larger size! I think that labels should be included in the order as the jar is a bit expensive for the size. I ordered 4 jars. Will have to look for labels elsewhere...sorry Adagio!
These are just the right size for 4 oz of tea. I love the way it looks on my shelf. It protects from UV rays, and closes tight to keep the tea at its best.
One thing i love about this is that the glass is thicker than the glass used for other adagio glassware which is awesome as i find the other items' glass to be too thin. it makes any tea look stunning. i think the price should be lowered not for lack of quality but to get more people to try this item. also having this around the house reminds me more about the tea that i have at home. and i think since i got it i drink about two times as much tea!! simply stunning!!!

Just the right size to fit on a variety of shelves. Great that you can see your tea and know it is kept fresh be the glass that filters harmful UV rays. I wish Adagio furnished labels for the jars to identify what tea each contained.
Its a great thing adagio came out with these , they will cut down on waste with all the tins . I would not mind if they made these a little bigger to hold more tea but still they are wonderful , pretty , and functional .
I ordered these for my tea-loving friend and she really liked them. They look very nice and classy. A great way to display your teas! Also very functional.
The only reason this jar didn't get 5 stars was the fact that it only holds 14oz and my large bag of Peach tea is 16oz! Other than that, it's a beautiful jar. A bit on the delicate side but shouldn't be a problem for those without children.
I wasn't expecting much, because it looks plain in pictures, but it's actually a very elegant way to store your teas, and looks great. I'll be ordering more.
My only concern about this jar was that the product description didn't mention whether the glass shields the tea from ultraviolet radiation (e.g. sunlight), which can damage tea. According to the product's packaging these jars are UV shielded, so you may display your tea without fearing Ra's wrath.
Clumsy buyers, take note: the glass in this jar is about 1/8" thick, roughly the same thickness as the walls of Adagio's glass mug and their TriniTEA carafe. This is sturdy enough to withstand occasional, light impact, but it's far too delicate to survive a fall from a countertop to a hard floor.
Why? Why does Adagio make these products that make me want to spend more money? My jar just arrived (along with a new batch of Lemon Grass tea) and I love this jar. Love. I envision my entire cabinet lined with these jars and the teas I love. The simple, sleek design is submlime. Plus, when you put the lid on you can hear it sealing in the freshness. I'm off to order a few more for my other favorite teas.
