This pot is exactly what I was looking for, and it is a joy to use!

★★★★★

Lovely little thing. Cuter than we expected. Finely made.

★★★★☆

Great little teapot that is fun to use. I typically use my yixing pots for Oolongs, Black, or Pu-Erhs teas and this one has been used with just oolongs so far. As with most yixing pots, this is meant for using full leaf teas since it has the built-in strainer and it won t filter out fine particles or dust.

This pot at 8 oz or 236 ml is the perfect size for personal or up to 4 people Gong Fu brewing. I used my yixing pot for Oolong Tea after cleaning it. I read somewhere about seasoning the pot… I’ll have to look into that.
I will be ordering another for my Black teas

★★★★☆

This is a nice beginner pot, I d guess--it s my first time trying out a Yixing pot. I ve dedicated mine to floral, rolled oolongs like fujian orchid. The clay flavor mostly faded away after the first couple of uses, and I ve enjoyed experimenting with gongfu brewing--it s certainly not the cleanest or most efficient way of preparing tea, but it s a lovely, contemplative process when you have the time for it. My biggest disappointment with this particular pot is that the lid is not watertight; it sits very loosely on top of the teapot.

I was looking for another zixing teapot for my oolongs so I grabbed this one but I wasn't expecting it to be so tiny!
It's enough for half a mug but really cute tbh and good for gong fu steeping if you're into that.

★★★★★

So small! Perfect for steeping my oolongs multiple times. The lid s a little loose with some leaking when I pour at first, but other than that I love it.

This works well for brewing my pu erh teas. Nice little teapot.

★★★★★

This teapot is great for ceremony. It's perfect for two small cups

★★★☆☆

Not actually handmade as the description and box claim. Clearly visible lines from being mass produced/molded. I am still happy with this teapot but unhappy that the description and packaging are deceptive.

This is a great yixing teapot for the price!! I wasnt expecting a full handmade or partial handmade at this price but it is very nice and affordable and does the job!

★★★★★

Adagio's choice in clay seasons really well. The pot is a nice shape, if not as cute as the Harbin. This pot makes up for it by having a very well fitting lid. Practical and a good size, this is a pot I'm really glad I bought.

★★★★★

One of the bigger Yixing tea pots I have been able to find, but they are really small to begin with. Don t expect to be able to make a full cup of tea with one steeping. I use it the traditional way and steep an oolong 3 or 4 times per session, and for that, this is perfect. I also got the cups, and together they make a pretty good gongfu set! Especially for the price! I have found similar items for at least $100 on other sites, and this is just as good quality as them.

★★★★☆

I love it! So cute.

★★★★★

This teapot is tiny, super cute, and decent quality. Love it.

★★★☆☆

I bought this for my daughter as a gift. The part I hate about it the most is that she has to first boil a pot of hot water to use bcause you can not boil the water in this pot or so I was informed at the store. Had I known that you could never actually use this to boil the water then steep the tea I would have gotten something entirely different like a Mr Teapot. The teapot is very tiny. We ended up using it as a white elephant gift rather than keep it ourselves. Someone out there loves it

After I saw the teapot, i looks ok, it is kind of light and thin, lighter than I expected, the body of the teapot has one black spot, and doubt about whether it is handmade? compared to the teapot, the teacups are more acceptable. I am a little disappointed with this purchase.

★★★★★

An adorable little teapot! I do use it as display more than actual brewing because of the small size - I like my cups of tea big! Still, there's something awesome about holding the warm clay of this teapot as it's brewing. It feels fragile, yet substantial, at the same time.

★★★★★

Great teapot. Use this for brewing pu erh tea and it works well.

★★★★★

Great for tea lovers. A good way to bring the history of tea to life.

★★★★★

I rated this teapot 'great' not because it is a truly excellent Yixing. I rated it great because for this price it is a wonderful value. The clay is acceptable quality, and the design/finish is also perfectly good. Sure, the lid's fit isn't as air tight as the highest quality Yixing's would be. Sure, the pour sometimes drizzles slightly down the spout (otherwise the pour is very nice). The thing is, at this price it is totally worth it nonetheless and it can serve as a perfect beginner Yixing or as a good Yixing for covering a particular niche. The cups that you can order with are also decent, but I actually would have liked the two cups to reflect the volume of the teapot as I actually have to throw away some tea from each infusion since I do not want my leaf sitting in hot water as I drink.

★★★★★

I got this for some friends for the holidays and they've been loving it, having dedicated it to their favorite oolong tea. They say it really increases and enhances the flavor, even more than they thought it might.

★★★★★

What a beautiful little pot! It's almost completely airtight when you put a fingertip over the lid. I mainly came here to say that I wouldn't have known I needed to pre-season the pot if I hadn't read one of the other reviews, and that I found directions on how to do that here: https://verdanttea.com/how-to-season-yixing/

I look forward to using this pot for many years to come and seeing how it develops over time.

This was purchased as an everyday teapot, and I'm happy with what I got for the price. This pot has a duller sound, but does have water absorption, finish, and water-tightness of the lid. The shape is western influenced, and I don't think it is optimal for oolong/black teas. In China, zisha pots often have a wide bottom, in order to create more room for leaves to expand and flavors to release. This dalian pot instead has a narrow bottom and wider top. The cups actually are larger than anything I've used before, double the usual sizes, again likely reflecting western tastes.

It also appears to have many machine molded elements rather than being fully handmade. Not as great for absorbing flavors, but still more rewarding than porcelain. The zisha clay is, as expected, everyday use not the top quality stuff. I wonder about pingni instead of qing shui ni? Its seems to be a thicker low-fire product and may not do as well with highly aromatic and green or oolong teas. It may be best for pu'er if not for the shape. I'm still going to use this for green teas. //edit - the pot dulls flavors of the green of choice. switching to a loose black tea. The Zibo style is better if you want a pot for black teas. Something more pumpkin shaped is thought to be better for oolongs.

Remember to boil the pot before first use, to clean out dirt and oils. One hour at a low boil was not sufficient to remove the off-clay flavor. The first pot was un-drinkable. I'd suggest either soaking both cups and pot in tea water overnight or something more involved: consider multiple boils with tofu, sugar, and tea, or increasing strength of tea. Don't forget to treat cups the same otherwise your tea will pick up off-flavors from them

I got this as a gift for a friend, she loves it! It's so dainty, and the color is gorgeous.

★★★★☆

Please-no-one faint! I use this as my tasting pot. Just enough for making a tasting cup of tea. Well balanced and pleasing to the touch. Read measurements carefully-it is a small little pot.

★★★★★

At first I was shocked when I saw the size of the pot...YES I know the dimensions are listed on the site but who really pays attention to that? LOL at least I don't. Anyways, after the initial shock I actually became quite fond of the pot. Its perfect for those Oolongs that can take several short infusions. The cups are small as well...perfect size for the pot. I feel like a Geisha when I'm using it. I am dedicating this pot to Ti Kuan Yin my fav oolong. The pot itself feels like good quality and it is very cute. The lid stays on nicely and secure and I don't even need a strainer when I brew my Ti Kuan Yin...I cannot speak for teas that might have smaller leaf bits. I am quite excited about seasoning my little baby. My 4-year-old is also excited that mommy has a 'little girl size teapot' so we can play princess party together.

★★★★★

I love this teapot. After seasoning I'm enjoying the look and quality of both the pot and cups. It's my first Yixing so I am getting the hang of it.

★★★★★

Fantastic teapot best way to drink a cup or two of Oolong.

★★★★★

I've been using this pot now for a week, and I really love it. I'm using this one exclusively for Pu-Erh. When I first held it, I thought 'I have mugs bigger then this.' But, it is exactly the right size for one person to make 6oz cups one at a time, allowing me to get maximum steepings from my tea. When pouring, the tea leaves tend to stay in the pot, very few end up in my strainer. Its plainness in color draws attention to the beautiful shape, and it just looks cute when I hold it in my large hand.

★★★★★

My favorite teapot of all time, and one I use on a daily basis. Excellent quality, and it just gets better with age.

I use this pot solely for oolongs. My usual brew is Adagio's Dancong Aria, but on occasion I'll brew other, non-fruity oolongs in it.

UPDATE: The pot has seasoned nicely over time, and I continue to enjoy every cup I brew. The color has changed a bit with use, and I'm constantly amazed at the richness and quality of the craftsmanship.

I love my teapot! It's very aesthetically pleasing to start, and then it pours neatly and produces a lovely few pots of tea. It's been great for my oolongs and very mild white teas, and perfect for long conversations or slow mornings

Nice teapot good seal and holding oolong tea at the moment, nice adagio leaf mark on bottom.

Seals around the lid better than the Harbin, and is no less beautiful. A quality item in a convenient size (8 fluid ounces, or exactly 1 cup).

I don't know why people keep complaining about the 8oz part, but OTOH my usual teapot holds 12 oz. I actually like this size better because the tea fits comfortably in a normal sized cup instead of me terrified that it'll spill over. I like the size so much that I wish Adagio would sell a ceramic tea pot in this size.
One thing that I do dislike was the lack of directions. All the box says is don't wash with soap. It gives no other instructions like how to season the pot the first time or that you need to let it dry out completely before putting away.

Dedicating this pot to chocolate flavored pu'erh tea.

A simple 8 oz teapot that does the job I need it to.

★★★★★

An adorable little Yixing teapot. Good for about five to six of it's matching tea cups, after all Yixing teapots are generally made for multiple short infusions. ('Your daily infusions,' anyone?)

I'm happily setting about attempting to cure this little pot and it's matching cups with lots of love and (more importantly?) tea. I adore this one so much, I'm considering buying the other two Yixing sets as well.

Just please note, it is ONLY EIGHT OUNCES. Don't complain that you're 'only' or 'barely' getting a cup-full, please. Just read.

What I expected, if not slightly larger. Great for a single serving our two small servings. Would like if lid fit a bit tighter and also sometimes tea leaves can block spout.

★★★★★

Elegant and sturdy teapot which now smells divinely of tieguanyin and is becoming lustrous all over.

★★★★★

It's so tiny and cute and perfect! I can't wait to see what it's like once it's had more opportunity to absorb the lapsang we've dedicated it to.

★★★★☆

Cute tiny teapot, bought as a present. Looks stardy though.

★★★★★

it's the coolest teapot I own. my only problem: it's only 8 ounces... which I realize is much less than I thought originally. but it seals well, it pours well, and it enhances the tea-drinking experience.

★★★★★

A fantastic little teapot that makes just enough tea for one (or possibly two) people. The lid fits snugly and the pot produces a lovely pot of tea. I use mine for Formosa Oolong #8 and love it.

★★★★★

This teapot works great, especially for the price. I have dedicated it to Tie Kuan Yin and it has already started to season nicely. It pours nicely with some minimal dripping. The lid is tight and it pours very well. Overall I am very satisfied.

★★★★★

Wonderful teapot and produces pure cups of tea. Great for oolongs and puerhs.

★★★★★

The size amazed me the moment it arrived, but I immediately connected and became fond of it.
This Teapot produces a different kind of tea-drinking experience. Some people might be disappointed by the smaller proportions of the teapot and cups but I think it's because this set is about quality, appreciation, contemplation, and meditation.
The Earthy, un-glazed design and color is dignified and beautiful to look at and feel. The material, purple play, will become seasoned to the teas used, thus it takes on the characteristics of your tea.
The size of the cups forces you to sip, never gulp, and for that reason this set can give you a very unique, spiritual experience in the world of tea.
Stop, look, breathe, and sip.

This teapot is not only functional, but an adorable addition to my collection of teaware! It is perfect for personal servings as well as pouring out into the cups for multiple people. It is small, but that was expected, as the description specifies that it is only 8 ounces. I have already used this teapot twice and I love it already!

Very nice, simple, and functional. I love it for personal cups of Oolong.

★★★★★

I love this little teapot. It's absolutely adorable and it makes the perfect amount of tea. I can't wait until it starts getting the patina

★★★★☆

I agree with other reviews about the top fitting very well. I cannot wait until the shine comes in, from having had enough brews. Having said that, I like a slightly longer spout. Otherwise I think I may want to set this pot aside for rooibos. I feel like rooibos wants a home.
