I use this mostly for cold brewing. I like that the infuser is long so that smaller amounts can be made if desired. It has very fine mesh and can be used with herbals such as honeybush without leaving a lot of sediment.
I love these mugs, but unfortunately I'm too clumsy and broke two. I do recommend it for those on the go. It fits well in the cup holder, and I love the large size.
Broke WAY too easy. Not sure if it is actually borosilicate glass. Do not buy if you actually plan on travelling with it.
Keeps the tea lovely and warm but I had issues removing the tea leaves when it had steeped but maybe due to user error so that’s why I’ve rated it at a 4
I really like this. Only complaint is it needs a pop open small lid, unscrewing it and having it fully open doesn’t work.

I love this so much. It doesn't get to hot to handle and it's easy to clean after use. I really recommend going for the larger size.
I love this travel mug. I would get so frustrated when it was in the dishwasher. To solve my problem, I bought three more!
This is a great option to brew tea but I can't figure out how to use it without making a mess on the table. Is there a trick to opening it up?
I love taking this on the go, but my only issue is the slight difficulty I have with getting the basket out to dump. The last thing I want is over steeped tea or to spill it all over myself.
Gifted this to a friend and she absolutely loves it. She said it keeps it warm for a very long time.
The dual layer glass construction does help keep hot tea warmer for a little longer than a regular cup but if I want extended warmth I use the metal version.

Don't like that there isn't a spout to drink out of and that you have to remove entire lid to drink it .
I have the larger one and it is great. Cold or hot holds tempurature nicely. Its easy to clean and can brew in the cup or just use it as a travel bottle.
This was a gift for a friend. She seemed happy with the gift, and I am considering getting one for myself.
I got the larger ActiviTea and I love it. It has a really smooth exterior. It is really well made - the tea holder inside fits nicely and the caps screw on snuggly. I take it to work and it lasts me the whole day. Love it!!
It does it's job, it is a portable tumbler. It's just not that convenient while on the go as there's no mouthpiece, it's an open container.
I loved mine and purchased this one for a gift. Great to bring to work

This is a great bottle for on-the-go. The double wall allows the tea to steep without getting too hot to hold. I wish I would have gone for the bottle with the strap instead. I assume it is a little easier to transport. Lesson learned. Also, be careful with the rim of the bottle, I chipped it in the sink while washing. It is glass after all. :)
Was looking for a 'to-go' tea brewing container and this fits the bill. This keeps the tea warm for a long period of time. The tea is easy to make and clean up is a breeze.
Super excited about these! I have loved making loose leaf tea at home - now I can take it with me to work and have Great tea all day long!
UPDATE to clarify. We received a broken one and called and a replacement was sent. The replacement was in perfect condition and it was the one the the bottom blew up…. Their reply sent below is dodging the prob. Original review: So we had the smaller activitea for years and they worked good. I decided to buy the larger size. After several uses, one morning I filled it up as usual and put the lid on it. I was getting ready to put it on the counter and had it turned where the bottom was facing my stomach. It popped really loud and the bottom blew right off of it. So 212 degree water hit me on the left side of my stomach and burned an area about 4x3 size. Had a 1st and 2nd degree burn on most of the area and a small area was 3rd. We emailed adagio and never got a reply. Bottom line…don’t buy this thing, it is extremely dangerous.
I bought this to take hot tea on the go and I love it. My only complaint is that it doesn't fit under my Keurig.
I never had the first ActiviTEA so I don't have that to compare as far as the mesh issue goes. But I don't feel that this mesh is to my liking either. The smaller bits of tea seep through the mesh. I hate having floaters! This is a nice travel thermos to have though. I call it a thermos because the lid screws off for you to drink from the open container like a thermos instead of having a lid with a slide cover over the mouth piece. I love the thermos style because those slide mouth pieces are more difficult to clean. Your tea does tend to cool faster in the glass which go be good because you can drink it sooner but if I'm at work and have to walk away it can cool off too quickly for my liking. The good the with glass though is that I can reheat if needed. Overall a good travel container, I just use a bag for my loose tea.
Great travel cup. I loved the old Activitea but wished it was bigger. The 17 oz however does not fit in my car cup holder.
This double walled glass tumbler is nice. The handle is a sturdy plastic and very well made. And the strainer is a small mesh, even on the bottom, so you don't have to tilt the strainer. It's easy to brew tea in this tumbler, but a pain to dump your tea leaves. As mentioned by other reviews, tea stays hot for about 2 hours.
For me this mug is totally useless. I need a mug that I can carry on the go. It looks nice, but isn’t functional.
I have a different mug that allows you to drink your tea with the infuser still inside (for those of us who like a strong tea). This requires you to pull the infuser out to use. What if you are on the road? What if you are at work where there is no place sanitary to put the infuser..
I am totally bummed I bought this, because it looks really nice sitting in my cabinets. I used it once and had a total of 3 sips out of it, before I defaulted back to my 5 year old infuser mug. Also, this won’t keep your tea hot. Don’t waste your money.
Just wonderful to go on the run tea bottle-container and the perfect size for me. Just enough space for the tea (good size infuser basket for leaves) to wake me up because I make my black tea very strong. ;) Easy to use and very easy to clean. The Handle is adorable, and sturdy but be careful ( made of hard plastic) Makes a perfect gift for those who are on the run, that love tea and it keeps hot for about 2 hours. Make sure the water is very hot, will determine how long the tea will stay hot. (it's up to you and be careful) This is a very fun, easy to use top of the line ActiviTEA 2 bottle product. I tried this Bottle with herbals hot and I steep longer and waited until I got to my destination and cleaned infuser. Tasted wonderful and was not worried about over steeping and stayed very hot. I tried iced tea black tea and herbal seperate-different times, and it was very cold (but I added ICE and it was very cold for a long time) I suggest if useing ActiviTEA 2 for iced tea, get the larger size. In my next order I will get the larger size for chilled-iced beverages-Tea. This product is perfect for me, but it's about your tea drinking preferance lifestyle. I just love this tea product. :)
Hot brewed some vanilla chai and it stayed hot for about 2 hours. Works really well. I wish it has a spout/straw to drink from versus removing the screw top. But a very satisfied customer.
I really liked this bottle but I only was able to use it once because it shattered the second time I took it out to use.
They listened! This is such an upgrade. The longer basket allows you to brew smaller amounts if wanted and the mesh is fine enough to put teas like rooibos in them. The quality is impressive; I like how the basket sort of "locks" into the top. Less opportunity for it to slip out by accident. It'd very sturdy and doesn't get banged up in my stone sink like all the glasses I've broken in it before too. It stays hot from boiling for maybe 1 1/2 hours, and at about the 2hr mark it's more of a lukewarm. But by then we will have drank it all already, right?
All in all this is a great travel mug and I'm very glad they improved on the original.
