The Tyrannosaurus rex was found in North America and lived in the Cretaceous period (68-66 million years ago). These impressive beasts were thought to possess one of the strongest and keenest senses of smell, having a large and complex olfactory bulb. There is also debate on whether or not the T-rex was a hunter or scavenger, with evidence suggesting both. MOVIE MYTH: Despite how the film depicts them, paleontologists do not believe that T-rex's vision was poor or based on movement, with evidence supporting that their vision was better than that of modern humans.
