A collaboration involving RedRover and Purina, the program addresses a barrier that can make leaving an abusive situation more difficult when a person fears for an animal left behind. Its funding and resources help shelters develop pet-friendly facilities and related support. The work recognizes the importance of the bond between people and their pets during periods of crisis and transition. Contributions help expand access to shelter that accommodates this relationship, supporting safety for both survivors and the animals who are part of their families.
