Pi Beta Phi was the very first women's fraternity. They had to meet in secret under the name of I. C. Sorosis, because women were barely allowed to attend college, yet alone join clubs. This blend is a tribute to their courage. I originally want to make this blend with Lapsang Souchong it an attempt to make a 'wine' like flavor and pay homage to the tea that was thrown in the Boston Tea Party by another secret group. However, it proved to be too overpowering. This blend will still give a rich wine colored brew.
