A Blend inspired by James Moriarty, the Napoleon of crime, particularly the incarnation that set the screen aflame in the BBC Series, "Sherlock."
Complex, changeable and contradictory, the smokiness of the gunpowder green tea invokes his darkness and mysterious nature. Gingerbread adds spice and zip, while hearkening back to his self-appointed "fairy tale villain" status. The smoothness of the Irish Breakfast balances it out and compliments the tartness of the apple pieces, which call to mind the fall he owed Sherlock and the tartness of his often manic sense of humor.
Moriarty is one of my favorite aspects of the BBC version of Sherlock Holmes, and I couldn't resist a play on his last name and on one of his most famous lines.
