In the Washington Irving classic, the hero told how he fled from The Headless Horseman. Next to spinning yarns, Icabod Crane loved women, especially good cooks. He was barely more educated than the Dutch students in his charge. A Dutch drink from the 1800s when Washington Irving's Sketch Book was written, is Jenever, a malted alcohol drink, made with juniper berries and perhaps fruits such as lemon. The blend is a tribute to the classic work.
