Tried this one because I love the rooibos vanilla chai - strangely I don't think the vanilla comes through as well in this one.

Tried this one because I love the rooibos vanilla chai - strangely I don't think the vanilla comes through as well in this one.
I was hoping that this would be an upgrade to the Celestial Seasonings Madagascar Vanilla Red Rooibos tea that I've fallen in love with. While it isn't bad, it definitely isn't a replacement. I find that this tastes slightly dusty and lacks the richness of vanilla flavor that I was hoping for.
I like the flavor. Plus side - the vanilla tastes really vanilla-ey, not like an essence. Minus - I let it steep some more by accident and it got bitter.. like how too much vanilla tests in the cake. I'm used to letting my rooibos steep longer without them tasting off, so this was a surprise.
This is a very good rooibos but I like the vanilla chia better.

This is one of my favorites! I ended up ordering a pound of this because I can see having this every day. There's no caffeine, which works for me, and it's sweet and vanilla-y. Really good stuff. Plus, I've mixed it with the rooibos caramel and the rooibos cocomint, that just gives it some added interest. But I definitely like it on its own, it's really good. Also, definitely don't have to worry about time, it doesn't get bitter if you go over the 5 minutes mark.
The rooibos vanilla is great when I want a sweet, but not too caffeinated tea. I drink it in the late afternoon or at night with sugar and milk.
this is the best vanilla tea! aroma therapy as well as taste. you can use the tea bag over there is so much taste in these little bags

I really liked this tea. I've always had a problem with black teas tasting kind of soapy to me, so I wanted to get into rooibos. The fact that it's not caffeinated was really nice, since my other go-to, pu-erh, is fairly caffeinated, and I generally have more time for tea at night rather than in the morning.
I really loved the smell when I opened up the sample envelope. The initial smell was like opening up a pouch of whole vanilla beans. So wonderful. And the taste-it was a little like how pure vanilla seeds should taste based on their smell (they do not taste anywhere near this good, FYI). Overall, a great tea to have as a treat before bed or after dinner, especially with a couple sugar crystals dropped in.
Really, really dislike. Had to throw it in the garbage. Fake vanilla flavor, no redeeming qualities. Ew. NO stars out of 5.

I love this tea. I don't like sweet in my tea generally and really haven't like rooibos in the past. A friend highly recommended this tea, and now I love it, too.
Oh my goodness the vanilla scent is to die for. It smells soooo good. I brewed a cup and the smell was stronger than my candles!
When I first reviewed this I wasn't happy at all with the flavor. It also smells of tobacco which I'm not crazy about. Well it still smells like tobacco but I've gotten a lot more used to the taste. I'm not crazy about it and probably wouldn't buy it again but it's tolerable.
This is a quality rooibos tea, well worth the price.
This is definitely my favorite flavored rooibos. Nice, rich flavor.
Not an overwhelming smell but recognizable as vanilla both in the bag and after steeping. It's got the clear taste I've come to associate with rooibos and just a touch of vanilla in mouth and in the aftertaste. Not quite as strong a flavor as I'd like though.
This is my favorite of the Adagio rooibos teas I have tried.
This is a relaxing, flavorful tea -- smooth and a little bit sweet.

This tea is good, but not my favorite of the rooibos blends. I prefer the almond and caramel.
Phenomenal herbal option that is perfect for blends, as well as by itself. Slight fruity notes, complemented by fresh vanilla flavor. Warm and earthy - with a very natural overall flavor profile - this herbal blend lends itself to the perfect evening cup of tea. Familiar, yet exotic, roobos is now becoming a favorite in my stash of beloved teas!

I love roobios, so I love this. I the flavor of roobios tea isn't your thing this might not be for you. Try Adagio's Foxtrot blend instead.
It was ok on its' own, but better mixed with rooibos vanilla chai.
The vanilla is almost too strong in this tea but, for some it may be nice to have a more powerful flavor.

I can't choose between this and the almond oolong as my favorites, but I have stopped searching - no need to look any further. The taste is rich with just a hint of vanilla. It smells wonderful and tastes amazing. I'm not a tea expert, but I know what I like - can't imagine finding a more satisfying tea than this (unless it's the almond oolong)!

Kind of a smoky flavor. Smell reminds me of a cigar but the vanilla is smooth and light.
I have been trying a lot of teas lately just to figure out what my preferences are...this one I found to be just OK. I will drink what I have but am not likely to order more. Nothing wrong with it, just personal preference.

For my first time trying rooibos tea, I was not sure what I was getting into. But this tea proved to be a good introduction tea because it tastes so good! The vanilla really compliments the flavor. :)
