I didn't really know what to expect with this one, but overall it has the nuttiness of pecan that isn't overwhelming, and couples really nicely with the undertones of the rooibos.
Our Rooibos Pecan Turtle, like its namesake, is blended with the smooth rich flavors you know and love.

Love the idea of rooibos + pastry, any combo would go so well
Definitely a keeper for my non-tea tea drinking. I served this at a ladies' tea I held this summer for my church and it was a big hit. I had to make two pots of this one, while the other black teas barely got drunk, except for my one sister who is a diehard English breakfast fan. I think she drank the whole pot! Steeped as recommended on the pkg.
Rooibos Pecan Turtle is a great tasting tea! First time to try it.
This was the tea that changed my mind about rooibos. Now it's a house staple, in our cart with every order. Pecan turtles are my husband's favorite candy, usually reserved for Christmas. Now we enjoy this tea several times a week together in the evening all year round.
This rooibos tea is smooth and creamy with hints of chocolate and caramel which offer a touch of sweetness which balances the nuttiness. It’s like biting into a caramel pecan turtle piece of candy.
I'm so excited i can't wait to buy more. At first the flavor felt off but then it hit and it beautiful. A beautiful way to end the night.
I loooved this one! I could taste the chocolate, the caramel, AND the pecan. I used a little vanilla sweetener.
After success with the plain rooibos, I tried this one and fell in love. Bonus that it is caffeine-free, so I can enjoy it as a late-night 'dessert' option without ruining my sleep. The caramel and nut flavors come through nicely.
I used to find rooibos teas so earthy that they just tasted…musty to me. But I must say, this tea makes something beautiful by combining the earthy flavor of rooibos with nutty, caramel flavors. I love this tea and it has reconciled me to red rooibos teas!
This is one of my favorite caffeine free teas. It's great as an evening dessert before bed.
Lovely pecan tea this one is one of my favorites. I love the light desserty taste of it and it is good
Rich in smell and taste, apple flavor hits first, then pecan, chocolate and caramel. The chicory becomes very apparent if you let it sit too long and cool down before finishing the cup.
This is a dessert in a cup! There is a nice subtle chocolate flavor and nice subtle nut flavor plus the natural sweetness of red tea.
Originally my review was, 'It tastes like the name. I steeped it a second time and it’s still yum. Maybe more of a winter tea but I still enjoyed it.' However, I don't like it much anymore. I think it's too rich for me.
I find that brewing this at a lower temperature reduces the bitterness than can occur from the pecans without diminishing the overall flavor profile.
I love this dessert tea ...it's exactly what I expected and hoped for.
This tea is good with or without sweetener! The flavor is strong, and super delicious! It definitely reminds of turtle candies!
This has become my go to nighttime dessert tea! Robust, smooth, and sweet. Holds up to the addition of creamers and honey. Extremely comforting after a long day.
I really liked the flavor of this tea, but I do not like the fact that there is chocolate in it so much. Regardless, I still enjoy quite a bit.
The caramel aroma was almost TOO intense at first, but wow, this ended up being just the relaxing evening cup I was looking for. The caramel-forward fragrance really mellowed during the steeping process, where the notes of cocoa really came through. I brewed for slightly longer than the recommended time (6 minutes) and have no regrets. A tiny half teaspoon of my favorite meadowfoam honey wasn't even necessary in this one. I have a feeling I'll be going through a LOT of the Rooibos Pecan Turtle.
This tea was a bit busy for me. The flavors of rooibus, Carmel and pecans didn't mingle together for me. My husband really liked it though.
This tea is actually amazing when made into a latte. With the addition of milk it took away the busy flavor.
If you are into pecans then you may appreciate this tea. As for myself I neither love it nor hate it. It might however serve its purpose if someone is looking for a lighter refreshment during a summer afternoon.
This tea is an absolute treat! The caramel, chocolate, and pecan flavors blend together wonderfully. This is a fabulous dessert tea!
My wife and I really like to have a few caffeine-free options in case we want to sip something warm in the evening. Rooibos Pecan Turtle is the perfect choice on a cold winter evening. It is sweet, chocolatey, and nutty.
I *love* this stuff so much. There's something really pleasant to it, like some kind of desert beverage.
The pecan turtle is yummy. Love it when I’m craving something sweet. My granddaughter enjoys it too and is a good introduction tea for her.
I really enjoy this tea on cold winter days. It has richness from the chocolate and caramel, but avoids being too "dessertish" with a slight undertone that is almost like coffee, but not quite that strong. This is a nice, warm comfort drink.
Pecan holds up to the rooibos well and with a little maple syrup and cream, this becomes a lovely dessert!
All of the flavors blend very well. It doesn't taste synthetic or overly sweet, it's a subtle and smooth tea.
Not a very strong flavor but it smells amazing! I would steep it and just enjoy the smell, but it has a nice light taste as well.
Not very impressive as a plain tea, but as a milk tea, it's considerably better. The milk helps to smooth out some of the harsher flavors and bring out the sweetness to give it a slightly more luxurious/dessert-like feel.
3 ⭐ for the tea itself, 4 ⭐ with milk
Update: CT 12/16/2023 - today’s packet was a much better mix of ingredients and it balance much better. Upped to 4⭐️.
I am not a fan of pecans so that impacts my review.
This was a decent tea - my packet did not have the chocolate scent to start with. I had a strong pecan flavor that really drowned out the other flavors. It wasn’t awful just not my tea choice.
This tea has a nice nutty flavor. It was a strong tea flavor
Lightly sweet with a good strong pecan flavor. Will definitely be ordering an actual bag of this next time I need a caffeine-free option.
Really delicious blend! It lives up to its name. Didn't need any sweetener. I did add some milk, which just made it more creamy. Would recommend.
The pecan flavor really shines in this one. Good with a little cream.
I'm not one for teas with chocolate, but there is something special about this blend. It's quite delicious! All of the flavors blend so well together. What a treat to discover!
The mix of chocolate, pecan and Carmel go so well together. I added a little honey and it was delicious. Definitely like a desert. Enjoy.
The flavor of this tea is very candied. It's something that you can enjoy if you're in the mood for something sweet. The pecan and caramel tones to it really shine through.
This is a lovely non-caf for any time of the day. The caramel flavor does get a little drowned out because the pecan is brought out by the roobios. I tried this sample without milk, but I’m curious how that might work with the flavors. Either way, it’s a nice way to treat yourself.
Hard to mess up a blend with chocolate and caramel; even when it's been blended with sawdust. Seriously, the red rooibos was barely discernible. Between the sweet caramel; and the big slap of chocolate, with a pinch of pecan, I was thinking about turtle brownies not wood particles. Nice cuppa for the mid afternoon.
I'm not a red rooibos fan and this tea followed my taste buds. First (and only) sip I tasted the rooibos, followed by a fake caramel taste. Not something I will be buying more of.
Pleasant sweet nutty aroma with the woody rooibos. 5 min @ 212. The nuttiness hides any chocolate to me. The slight sweetness leans more towards caramel as it cools. Resteep 10 min @ 212 is mostly rooibos with a hint of nuts. I love rooibos so I enjoyed this blend, although I prefer rooibos Nutcracker.
It’s a flavorful cup, it’s just not my cup of tea. I received this tea with my community tea of the month and have had the opportunity to try it many times and it’s still just not the one for me. My husband love it for a dessert tea.
This blend is a rich and creamy, and will satisfy your sweet tooth without the guilt. Rooibos nutty flavor is appreciated in the blend and the caramel and chocolate add a smooth and indulgent flavor, while the pecans add more nutty flavor of the blend.
I feel like this tea has been thoroughly reviewed. It’s amazing! But I definitely second everyone who said to give this a try even if you don’t like rooibos - it has changed quite a few minds with its nutty deliciousness.
I’m not a fan of rooibos, but the toasty pecan flavor makes this tea delicious
Delicious, earthy, desertlike, and a little sweet. I've only tried it once so far, but really enjoyed that. I bet this will be great with milk & sugar/honey as well!
I was skeptical but it actually taste really good! If taste like a pecan turtle! It’s a nice way to curb my sweet cravings in the evenings.
