Pretty tasty. I don't get a lot of orange flavor from it but it's definitely better than just a plain rooibos.

Holy oranges batman!
I loved how this tea smelled when I opened the packet. The orange was strong and intense.
While brewing the orange scent got even stronger, and the flavor was on point!

I brewed it as 212 for 5min. I added a 1/4 tea spoon of sugar and it was perfect.
Second cup was brewed ar 212 for 8min and no sugar this evening. Perfect way to start and end the day. Will be buying this in the future!

Others have remarked and I think it's true that orange compliments the red rooibos very well. A bit of sweetener definitely helps bring out the flavior.

There was nothing “wrong” with this tea, for me, just not enough that was right. The first few sips piping hot tasted like standard Rooibos to me—once it cooled down a bit I got hints of orange. I would drink it again, but have so so many others that I prefer (even in the Rooibos family)! 5 min @ 212

The orange and rooibos flavor combination is slightly odd. I’m not normally a huge orange flavor person, so I’m sure that factors into this. I tasted it hot and it was just okay, so I chilled and iced it. A spoonful of sugar made it much more tasty as well.

The orange flavor was just a bit too strong for me, I think. It tasted kind of like orange candy, and I’m not much into that.

Very nice orange scent, and my package also had a piece of dried orange peel. I found the taste was still very much rooibos forward, but the pairing with the orange was nicely done. There is no escaping the woody notes of the rooibos, but somehow the orange softens it and if you like the taste of orange, this may indeed be your cup of tea.

This is rooibos, which I love. How can it go wrong? I do wish that the orange was stronger but it was enjoyable nevertheless.

This is not a particularly orangey tea, the way that blood orange is. Instead, what I get is mostly rooibos with a hint of orange juice (no peel) over top. It's not bad, it's just destined to go in Mr. Fusion's cup instead of mine. (20 mins @ 212 F, no sweetener)

A pleasant orange liquor taste. The flavor becomes more powerful and delicious as the tea cools. The tea was most enjoyable just above room temperature.

I love decaf rooibos. I love orange. This was quite yummy!

I generally prefer honeybush teas over rooibos, so I was pleasantly surprised by this. The orange flavor wasn't overpowering at all and blended well with the medicinal rooibos flavor. I probably won't buy again, but it still made for a nice bedtime tea! Brewed at 200° for 5 minutes, no sweetener added.

A simple, mellow orange tea. Not a favorite, but good to unwind with at the end of the day.

November CommuniTEA box:
Surprisingly, I did not really like the rooibos/orange combination, it is too bland for my taste.

As I opened the CommuniTEA packet I was filled with the wonderful aroma of ORANGE. It gave me an immediate smile on my face! what great way to start my day.

Not a fan of the orange flavor, as it brings a sour bitterness to the rooibos. I added vanilla rooibos to temper it and it was still just OK.

There's nothing special here. The orange flavor is sadly lacking. This tastes like plain rooibos with maybe a hint of orange. Either that, or I'm imagining the orange flavor because I think that it should be there. (5 min @ 212°F)

I got a ton of orange peel in my packet, so the dry tea smells unsettling; it is sharp and hurt my nose, like an artificial 'chocolate orange' dollar store candle. Brewed @ 212 for 4 m.
The freshly brewed smell is like earth after a fresh rainfall, with a hint of orange in the background. The orange smell got stronger overtime until it became the foreground and reminded me of an orange scone.
The flavor is a lovely balance of almond, butter, and orange; with a buttery mouthfeel. Somehow ?? both lubricating and drying at the same time. Decided not to add anything to this tea.

Strong orange aroma in the packet like sitting in a bowl of oranges. Red Rooibos leaves fly everywhere when the CommuniTea packet is opened. After I round them all up, I brew as suggested and the tea turns a beautiful deep red/orange color. Such a MILD orange flavor - it is almost undetectable. Nice rooibos woodiness. Smooth, no astringency, soft mouthfeel. Wishing the orange was stronger, I add ½ teaspoon Truvia sweetener - WOW- that really brings out the sweet orange flavor - now this tea is almost too sweet(?) I mean, it tastes like orange candy - wow! Luckily the woodiness remains and keeps the tea from causing any tooth decay. (5 mins @ 212 ºF).

I love rooibis tea, and this one has such a light refreshing flavor with the orange

This one smells lovely right out of the package, but once brewed the rooibos quickly begins to overpower the orange flavors. I could taste the orange decently on the first sips, but once I was about half-way through the cup the primary notes were all ones I associate with red rooibos, sort of woodsy and medicinal. An interesting drinking experience at the least. I do love that the CommuniTea gets me to try things I would generally not try otherwise, even if they aren't always to my taste.

The orange aroma that came from my CommuniTEA packet made me hopeful that I may actually enjoy this red rooibos. Unfortunately when brewed, the medicinal flavor of the rooibos overtook the whole cup and there was no orange flavor whatsoever.

The smell of the dry tea was a bit off-putting (not unusual with rooibos) - reminded me a bit of orange soda. The flavor does come across more artificial than natural. But with a bit of sugar and creamer it is still a nice, sweet cup.

I know for some Rooibos can be hit and miss. Give this caffeine free herbal another chance with this orange flavor; a nice sweet flavor mixed with this rooibos blend. I sampled this Tea as part of the CommuniTEA November box.

In fairness to the tea, it probably isn't bad if you are a fan of rooibos. I mean it is smooth, is not bitter, is a beautiful color, and has tons of flavor. I, however, am not one of its fans. I have yet to like any of the rooibos teas, plain or in blends, that I've tried. The smell in the packet was delightful, very orange forward, and not in a fake way. I tried it plain, and yep, there was the rooibos in all it's medicinal glory. I tasted the orange as well, but I just can't get past the rooibos flavor. I added a few smalls chunks of rock sugar, but I think that only made things worse. It did enhance flavors, unfortunately for me I didn't really care for those flavors in the first place. In the end it tasted like orange pedialyte to me. (reviewed through CommuniTEA; 5 min @ 212F)

The aroma emanating from the packet was a powerful fragrance of orange. As a tea, the smell of orange was in competition with the woody smell of the rooibos tea. This is not my favorite tea.

First let me say, I am not a Red Rooibos fan. I like Green Rooibos a lot more. I sampled this tea today as part of CommuniTea. I added a little honey and found it to have a 'dreamsicle' kind of flavor. The orange flavor wasn't very bright or crisp.

Reviewed as part of the communiTEA: I live orange flavor. As a Florida native, orange is my go to! Lol. But it wasn’t too overwhelming. Just a nice sweet flavor mixed with the nice rooibos taste.

I didn't think it was too flavorful until I added a little sweetener. A bit of sugar really made the orange stand out and I loved it. I'd say 4.5 stars because I typically try to avoid adding sweetener to my tea.

Found the red rooibos to be overpowering. A bit of sweetener brought out the orange flavor, but not enough to cover the red rooibos. I think those who like red rooibos would enjoy this though.

Rooibos is growing on me with each new flavor I try. I never much cared for it but this tea is amazing. The natural sweetness of the orange goes so well with the tea's flavor profile.

Smelled like Tang but the taste of the orange is less subtle than the smell. I am not a fan of red rooibos tea but the orange in this blend overpowered the rooibos taste and was an okay sip once I added some honey.

Rooibos is not something I'm reaching for of my own accord, but the CommuniTEA box seems determined to find me one I would drink regularly.

This one isn't it.

Someone on the CommuniTEA chat compared the scent of this tea dry to Tang, and that's accurate to my experience. Brewed, this still has the medicinal aspect of rooibos, but with a lingering sweetness from the orange at the end. I almost wonder if this tea might be served by a tart note, something to cut through the sweetness. As is, though, not something I'd reach for again, but worth experiencing.

The dry tea from my Communitea packet had a moderate orange aroma. Once brewed the orange was very subtle and I sweetened with a bit of honey to try to bring that orange out a bit more. It is a tasty tea, but falls short on the expectation of citrusy flavor.

I'm not usually a huge fan of rooibos, but the bit of orange seemed to curb any medicinal taste. I feel like it was a good blend but I wish the orange was more front and center.

I liked this tea because I like a rooibos tea. The orange is subtle but present in the initial aroma and taste. Adding a bit of honey brings out the natural sweetness.

Very pleasant orange aromas were noted from my communiTEA packet this morning. Mild woody aromas were also present. Red rooibos tea is noted for having many teeny obnoxious bits that might make into my cup; after steeping. So I decided to strain them out using a fine mesh strainer (such as the Adagio matcha strainer) on their way into my cup.

When hot, moderate woody rooibos and very mild orange flavors were noted. I Added some sugar to help bring bring orange flavors forward and tame down the rooibos. When warm, woody flavors from the rooibos overpowered moderate orange flavors. Towards the end, I added 1/8 tsp half & half to see if I could bring orange flavors forward. The orange came forward with creamsicle tastes and mild nutty flavors noted from the rooibos. A nutty and woodsy creamsicle? Not exactly a pleasant tasting experience. I tried, but just couldn’t get satisfied. (4 mins @ 212ºF, 3/8 tsp sugar)

I am pleasantly surprised by this tea. I previously had the Honeybush orange and did not like it at all - so would never have purchased this had it not come in the communitea’s. Very enjoyable - you can definitely taste the roobios which the orange compliments very well. I have a very very good wild roobios and get hints of orange from that - so the flavours certainly compliment well.

The orange flavor has gotten a little better than it was the first time I tried it, but it still doesn’t taste much like orange to me. It’s almost more like an orange papaya? If the orange flavoring is ever improved upon I might update my review.

The flavor after steeping was bam! Orange! Beautiful. Bold. Orange.

If you are a fan of oranges, this is perfection in a cup.

Steeped 5 min @ 200 and added 2 heaping tea spoons (adorable tiny spoon shaped like a flower not the unit of measurement type spoon)
Mmm good
