A wonderful dessert tea! The blend of caramel with the hazelnut and Chestnut 🌰 with the rooibos tea and a little sweetening are nothing but delicious!
Smooth, rich flavors offer natural sweetness and depth. This is the ideal blend to sip by the tree, on a snowy winter's evening.

A wonderful dessert tea! The blend of caramel with the hazelnut and Chestnut 🌰 with the rooibos tea and a little sweetening are nothing but delicious!
A strong rooibos smell overpowers the other ingredients right out of the packet. It's a smell that I'm not very fond of, even though I do like rooibos. When steeped the flavor of rooibos is, as ever, present and powerful. The nutty and caramel flavors were strong and rich, the chocolate flavor a bit more subtle. All in all a good tea, but not my favorite rooibos.
Both the scent and the flavor remind me of homemade caramel corn, the kind with pecans, almonds and hazelnuts. Love this!
This was pleasant and tasty. Great with sweetener and milk.
This is a lovely rooibos tea that has some nice flavors for the holiday season.
This tea reminds me of creme brulee. It is a wonderful toasted creme flavor. It is a smooth and full flavor that I really enjoyed.
Love it, love it love it. Nutty without tasting like peanut butter, with a caramel undertone.
What a wonderful, rich tea. All the flavors come together to create a very smooth, full-bodied and flavorful cup. Definitely a winner!
Imaginative and delicious... I began as a member of communitea w/ a negative attitude towards rooibos and that's been changed by all the fun varieties.
I actually already have a 16 oz bag of this one, thanks to having tried it in the winter teas sampler a few weeks ago. It's like a nuttier version of the rooibos pecan turtle, which is another rave-review favorite in our house. We're actually replacing the pecan turtle with this one in our year-round rotation. Others may prefer a more chocolate-forward rooibos, but this is the one for us. (5 mins @ 212 F, 2 drops EZ-Sweetz)
the smell from this packet was very promising, nice caramel notes, just a bit nutty smelling. I steeped this up as per instructions. The taste was nice enough, kind of sweet with caramel and nutty tones, but I did not get any chocolate flavour in this. The rooibos base made itself known as a bit of a woody taste, not too strong but nonetheless quite present in every sip. I found I did not enjoy this as it cooled down, I found the flavour muddied a bit, this is a tea best enjoyed while still warm.
A decent rooibos, but the hazelnut dominated the brew. It was still pretty good and a nice sip for a cold morning.
It was ok. I got the nutty taste by not all that much caramel. It’s just not my kind of tea. Everyone has different tastes. Mine tends to be more fruity than nuts and caramel. Sorry
I think too many flavors fused together killed this tea because the only flavor I got was rooibos. I didn’t taste any caramel, hazelnut, cocoa or anything fruity. I must have gotten the end of the CommuniTea packet filler and must have ran out of flavors. I love rooibos tea but I don’t love this and I won’t be adding this to my rooibos collection.
This tea has a fairly deep, rich flavor. It's definitely heavier on the nuts and caramel, while the rooibos, cocoa, and fruit flavors are hardly distinguishable. Maybe I got an uneven CommuniTEA, maybe it just doesn't live up to the flavors it promises. That said, this tea would still be good in a latte-style drink or with cream and sugar as an after-dinner treat since there's no caffeine. It's a fine tea, but I think Adagio's rooibos pecan turtle delivers a similar flavor in a more satisfying way.
I don't really taste any nuttiness or caramel flavors, but those additions did tone down the red rooibos flavor enough that I was able to enjoy the cup.
First rooibos I loved, and the husband agreed. Super flavorful! Loved the nuttiness
I love the smell. It is very inviting. The taste is mild but good. I let it steep a little longer to bring out more flavor.
Very nutty with some amazing caramel flavors. A nice warm cup.
Tried with CommuniTEA.
Speaking as a person who tends to find red rooibis teas disgusting... This one is actually okay. I drank the whole cup instead of abandoning it halfway through. The caramel and nut flavors seem to cover the icky rooibos notes for me. If you're a fellow rooibos hater, it might be worth trying this one anyway, if the opportunity arises.
I could smell caramel and the hazelnut/chestnut combo dry in the packet, and I wanted to like it, but there was just too much rooibos flavor coming through. Since I don't love the red rooibos, this was not for me. I gave it three stars because the rest of the flavors were well done and I would have enjoyed them with a different base. I'm typically not a big fan of nutty flavors in my tea, but this one is mixed just right. I made a latte with this one and it is absolutely delightful! It's caramel, nutty, and rich.
Very much a rooibos tea and just a hint of nutiness. It is smoothed out by the caramel, though, so when hot, is a very pleasant cup of tea. Add some honey for more depth and enjoy.
All I could taste in this was a nutty sort of flavor, which I guess was probably the point, but since I don't care much for those flavors, I was hopeful that the cocoa and caramel flavors would be a little more present. I could definitely smell them when I opened my CommuniTEA packet, so I was admittedly a little bit disappointed when they didn't get a chance to shine after being brewed. Not bad, just not for me.
I love this tea! Its a chocolatey, nutty rooibos flavor, nice and strong!
The nut flavor was too strong in this blend. I wasn't able to finish it when it was sent with my CommuniTea december 2020 box. I hated this blend and dumped it into the sink after two sips.
Meh. I think the rooibos really ruined this blend, the burnt rooibos flavor is what I'm primarily tasting here; a little caramel and a little nuttiness. Bummer, I was really excited about this one!
The rooibos was the predominant flavor in this blend for me. There was not enough caramel or cocoa to mask the taste of the rooibos tea (of which I am not a fan).
Received this as part of my CommuniTEA box. This tea smells better than it tastes. Does have some caramel and nuttiness to it. Just ok for me.
This smelled delicious on opening my CommuniTEA packet. The caramel flavor was the most prominent without it being artificial. After adding 1/2 tsp of monk fruit sweetener the rest of the ingredients harmonized well like a symphony. I can see the beautiful red coat of the Nutcracker in the red of the rooibos tea. The marigold flowers and blue cornflowers dance their waltz for me. I am in a dream of tea and don't want to wake up. This is an amazing cup of tea!
chestnut and hazelnut are favorites of mine but the caramel is the dominant flavor and I didn't get much cocoa. Very similar to Rooibos Pecan Turtle, but enjoyed both. I sampled this Tea as part of the CommuniTEA December box.
Very strong nutty flavor. I think coffee lovers would like this tea.
This tea is full-bodied, nutty and rich. An outstanding addition to my rotation.
Nutty and delicious with excellent flavour. I’d do it again
Carmel tastes always make me happy. So sweet on its own.
Really nice caramel aroma and a smooth taste and feel. Nice holiday tea!
My favorite tea of all time! I'm just so sad its seasonal.
It's the perfect blend of caramel and nutty-ness, very sweet and no bitter aftertaste. It does well plain or with milk, but you don't need any sweetener which is why I love it. To top it off it's caffeine free! Seriously, the best tea on the planet.
Wow, this is delicious. I like to steam a little milk to go with it.
I really enjoy this one. I bought a big bag to hopefully last me a few months. Sad it’s seasonal
This is a delicious caffeine free tea. I love the subtle fruit notes in this delightfully pleasant tea.
I love chestnut and hazelnut tea and needed something in the evenings without caffeine. This was perfect! Scratches my nighttime coffee or dessert itch.
Loved it! Ordering more right now before the end of Christmas!!!
This was really delicious. I was hesitant about the caramel, because I'm not always crazy about it, but in this it goes together really well with the other flavors.
Really rich, nutty flavor and naturally sweet. I just added a bit of milk. I liked this one a lot, felt perfect for the holiday season.
The smell of the dry blend is delicious, like chocolate covered caramel hazelnuts. After steeping I mainly taste a smooth nutty flavor with hints of silky caramel and the slightly woody rooibos base. Great on its own, even better with a splash of cream. It's such a comforting blend to sip at bedtime. I love it as a seasonal blend and will definitely buy more next holiday season.
This is my favorite. After sampling it, I bought a huge amount to get me through the seasons that this tea may not be in stock. I love the balance of the sweet and spice notes.
Pretty darn good. Delicious with milk and sugar :)
This one caught my girlfriend and I by surprise, and she especially loves it. It s not my absolute favorite, but it is certainly an excellent herbal winter tea. Grab it before it s gone for the season!
This is a great blend and is a favorite of my husband.
This is a wonderful tea. It is smooth and sweet, with an aftertaste that reminds me of graham crackers. The cocoa nibs come through adding depth to the nutty flavor, and even my friend who hates chocolate says this is one of her new favorites- we will both be stocking up. I can't wait to try this iced with tapioca pearls as a decaf homemade boba drink - it won't even need sweetener or creamer.
