Pure deliciousness. It’s like having dessert in a cup. The caramel and hazelnut flavor really shined. Very buttery tasting and certainly a favorite of mine.

This is another awesome taste profile for the Rooibos tea and I love the limited and seasonal nature of the item.

Perfect combination of fruit and caramel. I love the combination and hope it will be available year round.

A repeat purchase! I am excited that this was available again this holiday season. I love it with stevia and almond milk but it is a little sweet on its own.

Tried as a CommuniTEA sample. I didn't like this plain because of the strong red roobios flavor and the slight maple-like aftertaste. It was better with cream and sweetener as it toned the flavors down but the medicinal red roobios taste was still too present for me. I could see how others would like it though. It just has a couple of my least favorite flavors.

I tend to find herbal teas too sweet as it is, and this was very sweet, especially with all the extra added flavours

What a lovely, perfectly blended tea. I was able to differentiate all the said flavours. Although I am not a fan of rooibos, I absolutely loved this blend. Will definitely get this for sipping around the tree during the Christmas season.

Of Adagio's various holiday offerings, this is by far my favorite. It's nutty and sweet. It's very similar to Adagio's rooibos pecan turtle, but with more emphasis on the caramel notes and less on the chocolate. The combination of nuts and caramel on the rooibos base yields a brew that's more naturally maple than Adagio's offerings that feature maple flavoring. The result is a cup that, aromatically at least, reminds one of waffles in all the right ways. Though naturally sweet, a touch of sweetener goes a long way toward amping up the decadence level of this tea. Plus, it can hold up to a second, though noticeably weaker, steep. (And in between steeps, you'll wonder why you smell waffles in a tiny corner in your kitchen.) [5+ minutes @ 212F]

This is a lovely little blend that evokes the Christmas season. The rooibos flavor is prominent, along with highlights of nuttiness and a bit of caramel. As long as you like the taste of rooibos, this is a caffeine-free winner for winter.

This makes perfect sense as a Christmas in July offering. Tasted all the cocoa and nuts in the blend.

I’m upgrading my review of this from 3 to 4 stars. I accidentally left this CT portion steeping for about 45 minutes with some rock sugar. Once I realized what I had done I poured it into the cup and found it pretty good and still warm! I enjoyed every sip, and the flavorings overwhelmed the red rooibos.
Original review: Not a fan of this one. While it smells nice in the cup, the flavor for me was predominantly red rooibos, which I don’t like. I steeped at 212 degrees for 5 minutes and added raw honey.

Enjoying this cup on Christmas in July! Its a Caramel-y, Nutty Choco magickal mixing in a mug!! Not too Rooibos-y, in case you are not a Rooibos fan..'Tis Reminiscent to the Pecan Turtle! Seasons Greetings!!--Whether in 🦩🌴🍵 or ❄️🎅🍵!

update: Surprised to see this in a summer box! still good.
this is a good one; I had it in my Winter tea box. Nut and caramel, good bedtime tea if you don't like chamomile as I don't. Not a big rooibos person but this works well.

I first tried this blend back when it was included in an Adagio advent calendar I purchased. Liked it then and still do. It's full of caramelly goodness like a piece of lovely Dove candy. That being said, it definitely tastes more like caramel than chocolate so if chocolate teas aren't your thing (they certainly aren't mine) give this one a try.

UPDATED from 12/18/21: Still a nutty delight.
12/30/20 (as Janet Jackson would sing) “It doesn’t really matter what they believe/ What matters to me is your nutty-nutty-nutty for me!” Oh and this is one nutty tea - perfect for a Nutcracker and the Holidays. It smells like cake when the CommuniTEA packet is opened, and when steeped it is a clear reddish amber. The flavor is a sweet, nutty playground that gets tastier with ¼ teaspoon of sweetener (to 12 oz) and heavy whipping cream. Hazelnuts and chestnuts joyfully play well together with the rooibos. The dark chocolate stands on the side, and adds depth, while the caramel lays down to watch the fun, adding a smoothness to the mouthfeel. This is a wonderful dessert tea, it honestly tastes like the multi-layered nut torte my husband’s aunt used to make, and since it has zero caffeine, can be drunk anytime of day. Since I own a bag lots of “...nutty-nutty-nutty for me!” Warning: this tea may only be around for only a limited time. (5 mins @ 200F + sweetener and cream).

10 oz, 3 mins @ 195* F, divided. Sweetener in both, cream in hot.

Hot
First taste w/o cream and I was intrigued. Added cream per usual and this is a tasty blend. The nuttiness goes well with the rooibos, and the caramel gives it a nice depth of flavor and sweetness. Im enjoying this very much while hot. I'm concerned about the cold version as last time the rooibos became more dominant when cold. Will see soon.

Cold
Had to add cream to it, but it's very drinkable. I prefer it hot, but I will finish this cup cold. Unlike last time.

This is a great tea! It reminds me of Christmas so that’s when I have it the most often but I do enjoy it at other times of the year!

★★★★★

Nice winter tea, love the flavor. Lavender pieces in there make the tea taste elegant and have a floral node.

★★★★★

I love Rooibos Nutcracker! It's a perfect evening tea, as there is no caffeine to keep me awake. I add a small amount of sugar and milk to my tea. Delicious!

★★★☆☆

Smoky, nutty flavor, I'm not sure if the caramel comes out so well. It's eclipsed by the woody rooibos throughout. And I'm not a big fan of the typical caramel flavoring either. I can see this being a comforting wintertime treat but I would've liked it more if it emphasized the chestnut flavor more overall.

★★★★★

This tea was my favorite in my advent calendar so I had to order a larger quantity. I love the caramel, cocoa and nutty flavors in it. Definitely a favorite for winter nights. One of my top favs of all the teas I have tried.

This has become a household favorite after dinner tea. Smooth cozy rooibos + some bonus sweetness.

this one is good but I don't feel there is enough extra stuff in this tea to overcome the rooibos. The main tea ingredient doesn't lend itself to being able to pick up the more sublet notes... or I just don't have a well trained enough palate to discern the difference.

★★★★★

Love it! This is so delicious. It has the yummy taste of caramel and nuts. I like to treat myself to this for a desert.

It tastes like a non-alcoholic bourbon. It has the nuttiness and fruitiness like the spirit, but has no alcohol and has added warming flavors. Recommended for dessert.

I liked this one a lot! A nice smooth rooibos, with a good nutty balance to the sweetness. It reminds me a lot of the Teaster Marshmallow that only comes out at eastertime, and which I'm very nearly out of from last year, so that pleases me a lot. And you can never go wrong with nutty flavors in an Adagio tea. I'll be picking this up again next winter.

One of my favorites. I loved the taste of this tea, loved the smell it filled my kitchen with. A tea I can’t get tired of.

Delicious, nutty tea. I found it to be very similar to the Pecan Turtle, and liked the Turtle just a bit more, but this is worth trying. I added oatmilk and a touch of honey, neither of which are necessary.

Rooibos, caramel, and nut flavors are very noticeable. I am not sure I could have more than one cup at a time, since I feel its very aromatic, a bit different than my tea baseline which includes mostly black.

A toasty, earthy, nutty, apple tea with a definite note of chocolate. It should be called nutty apple rooibos. It's kind of a strange combination with the nuts, apple & chocolate but it pairs well with the red rooibos. I really enjoy most rooibos teas I try, but not sure that I will reorder this one. It's OK, but i'd rather have my nutty flavors with apple or chocolate, but not both. My first steeping had two fairly large sized cocoa nibs, I think it may have threw off the balance for me. If the other cups with less nibs taste different I'll update this review.

A STRONG chestnut aroma is a bit misleading, I thought this would taste a lot more like chestnut praline, or at least have a strong nuttiness, but instead any of the nut flavors are lost in the rooibos. It's mild, if you like the flavor of rooibos on its on, you'll like this, as everything in it accentuates the taste rather than complimenting it.

★★★★★

A very nutty tea with a pleasant aroma. Was excellent chilled, with a bit of honey. (Cold brewed for 10 hours)

★★★★☆

I like rooibos. I like caramel, nuts, and chocolate. The flavors showed up as a lightly sweet and quite nutty tasting cup.

Update: This is one of the first teas I ever purchased from Adagio. It was my favourite then, and nothing has changed. It's still my favourite tea I've ever had in my life. It's SO GOOD - the cozy nuttiness is my favourite thing ever. Seriously, cannot get enough. The caramel and cocoa comes through on both the nose and the palate, and rooibos is a perfect base tea for this blend. It doesn't need anything added to it, it's that lovely. There is literally nothing I don't like about this tea.
