Absolutely delicious herbal tea. Add a little rock sugar and it taste like a lemon drop!
A combination of bright, tangy citrus notes with creamy vanilla and a hint of lemongrass producing a soft, fluffy, lemon cream taste.

Absolutely delicious herbal tea. Add a little rock sugar and it taste like a lemon drop!
Bought this for my mom as a mother's day gift. She seemed to like it!
Solid herbal option! I like to mix this with honeybush vanilla.
I'm always hesitant about citrus flavors in tea, because they tend to range from ho-hum to harsh and tasting of cleaning products (see my review of citrus mate.) This is nothing like that, lemon cloud is lovely. Rooibos has a natural sweetness that lends itself to softening the lemon flavors, so you get more of a dessert, lemon meringue quality than say, lemon lysol.
This tea has a lovely lemon flavor paired with a hint of vanilla. I like to sweeten with just a bit of splenda and drink it on the cooler side to let the rooibos mellow and allow the lemon and vanilla to put their best foot forward.
The lemon zest hits the nose right away. However, that zest comes through the tea with much more subtlety when you drink it. I really taste the Rooibos tea beneath the nice lemon flavor. I wish the lemon had overpowered the taste of the actual tea, but it was blended well.
Very light and refreshing, a little bit like fruit loops.
Soft lemon accents and not too overpowering. Enjoyable.
Lemony greatness really like this tea. Great with a dot of honey!
CommuniTEA is made for days like this. I’d never have selected this tea on my own and yes the red rooibos plus lemon did smell close to furniture polish in the packet, haha... but oh my goodness did it ever steep into a beautiful drink! 5min at 212F with rock sugar for the taste of warm lemon pie filling in a cup.
When you open the packet you are slapped in the face with lemon, which woke me up to be honest. When brewed it had a sharp and strong but not overpowering lemon flavor with the rooibos peaking through.
Upon rebrewing I found the cup more balanced as the lemon was now weaker and roobios stronger so they complemented each other much better.
It is a good tea overall and I definitely prefer the second brew.
The lemon flavor in this is WONDERFUL, and if the base were anything other than rooibos, this would get five glowing stars from me. But rooibos just makes the tea taste like it has gone bad unfortunately - I'm not a rooibos fan at all.
I received a single portion of this tea as part of the CommuniTEA box. As this is a single portion sample, the blend may be unbalanced compared to a larger portion. On with the rest of the review.
The tea in the package smells mostly of the lemongrass rather than anything else. However, upon putting it into my tea strainer steeper dinosaur friend, the vanilla came to shine to create a creamy lemony smell. Overall, the blend seems fairly balanced, so I steeped it for the recommended 5 minutes with 212F water. It created a somewhat red-amber tea that smells mostly of lemon, though also with some woodier notes. It tastes nice, like a bit of a woody lemon. Adding a touch of sugar helps to brighten the lemon flavor, allowing it to blend with the vanilla quite well.
Overall, it's a pleasant tea, and one that I enjoy. While I'm not a fan of the rooibos in it as much, and I believe I would prefer this with just the lemongrass and vanilla, it's still an excellent tea.
The sweet smell of lemon, reminds me of lemon cake or cookies. This was oh so good. Thinking it would make a great summertime refresher on ice.
Lemon and vanilla - two flavors that meld together into a sweet yet comforting mug of tea. The flavor of the lemongrass was tart, the vanilla sweet and creamy, and the rooibos added a depth of flavor. This was the perfect cup to help me relax at the end of the day.
Sweet, creamy, lemony deliciousness! The rooibos base adds a richness in the background without screaming rooibos. If you like lemon drops, lemon pound cake, lemon meringue pie, or lemon anything, you’ll enjoy this tea.
The lemon really stands out! I'm not a huge fan of the flavor of rooibos, but this one is quite nice :)
While there was very little lemon flavor in my cup, it blended beautifully with the vanilla for a very pleasant cup of tea.
Very strong lemongrass flavor with a hint of vanilla.
Wow! Hello Lemon Zing! The aroma from my CommuniTEA pouch made me think of some kind of lemon candy. My first sip had a strong lemon bite, so I added some honey, which successfully sweetened and softened this zippy tea. I couldn't really taste the vanilla; rather, I felt it's presence. It took the edge off the lemon. A second steep proved to have less edge, so the vanilla had more softening power. For someone who loves lemon desserts, this would be an excellent tea. Me? I'll take chocolate or cinnamon any day. ;-)
Getting heavy lemon pie vibes off this tea and that's not necessarily a bad thing but it also reminds me a bit of Lemon Pledge wood cleaner. LOL
Not terrible, but not crazy about it either.
I always give my CommuniTEA packet a good sniff when I open it and today’s was a delightful surprise! Smelled like a lemon drop! Brewing yielded a lovely color tea, very lemony with a good balance of lemongrass. The rooibos, while creamy, did have the slight metallic note common with many rooibos. Altogether a good, smooth cup with a little bit of a pleasant tingle.
Opening today's Communitea sample, I was greeted with a scent akin to lemon meringue. The tea itself was not as lemony as I thought it would be based on the scent of the dry tea. However, it was still a wonderful pick me up after a busy work day.
It's a good tea. It tasted a little bit medicinal to me, but I think it does taste exactly as it is described. I think i would really enjoy it if I'm ever recovering from a cold or something. I would also like to try it iced sometime.

I do not care for lemongrass in my tea, it overpowers all the other flavors typically and makes it taste like lemon pledge to me. This one was no different. however for all you lemon lovers out there you will likely love this. the vanilla does bring out a cream flavor in it that makes it taste like a lemon dreamsicle.
The smell and taste of this tea are both wonderful! It's like lemon meringue pie or a lemon shortbread cookie. The lemon is more pronounced than the vanilla when hot without milk or sugar.
Ah, such a nice tea to have on a Spring day! A wonderful vanilla/lemon flavor. It’s not tart, more like a baked-good flavor. It blends perfectly with the slightly sweet & woody rooibos. I think it also tones down the rooibos enough that this would be a good starter for people trying to get used to it (especially if they already like lemongrass).
It’s good hot or iced. Plain or dolled up with sweetener &/or [non]dairy products. I personally like making it into a hot latte. The [almond]milk really emphasizes the “baked good” like flavor for me - like a lemon shortbread!
Only downside is that it doesn’t really hold up to multiple steeps.
Steeped 212F 8min
I have good and bad news. The good news: Lemon Cloud smells like a delicious lemony cake. Initially, the aroma is more citrus than vanilla but after airing for a bit, the vanilla makes more of an appearance. So mouth-watering!
On to the bad news (actually, it isnt bad...it's more not-so-good): the flavor doesn't quite match the great quality of the smell. It is a too light and airy. You can taste the rooibos (which I like, but I know a lot of people dont share my affection for rooibos) and the tartness of the citrus. However, to coax out the vanilla, you need to add a hearty dose of sweetner and it starts to drown out the lemon.
Overall, it makes a lovely cup of tea but this blend isn't one I would drink on a regular basis. Nice for a mild treat, though.
I truly loved the soothing lemony aroma of Today’s communiTea. Each sip was like floating on a lemony flavored puffy cloud: creamy, earthy and just the perfect amount of sweetness. Simply Delicious cuppa of rooibos tea, sipping it both hot and iced, my favorite being iced.
oh sooo smooth. Roobios is just so good. Such a strong smell.
This is a decent tea although I don't like roobios but the lemon and vanilla are main flavors I taste.
Although I am not usually a rooibos fan, I always try to go into the tasting with an open mind! Adagio, you continue to delight me, I learn that you can always be pleasantly surprised to like something out of your typical wheelhouse! I brewed up this tea for 5 full minutes and was rewarded with a lovely, sunshiny cup of lemony goodness.
Although the lemon was a little bit furniture polish like, it worked alongside the rooibos and somehow it created a cup that was better than the sum of its parts. The taste was summery and would most likely be wonderful iced but I confess that I enjoyed it so much it went down too fast for experimentation!
I forgot that tea is one of the few consumables that I actually like lemon in. I probably wouldn't have liked this same flavor in a baked good, but I love it in this tea! Delicious creamy lemon vanilla flavor
This tastes like a lemon honey cake my mom made for my birthday, without the sharp sweetness of sugar icing. It’s bright and perfect for a cool spring Friday, when you’re ready to set down work and wind down for the weekend! Good dessert tea without being over sweet. It also happens to be soothing for a throat made raw by pollen.
This was a delicious cup of tea!! I steeped it at 212 for 5 min. I am a huge fan of rooibos ...Huge! It is one of my comfort teas and is immediately calming. I usually drink a warm cup of rooibos tea every evening and find that it relaxes my entire body. With all the love I feel for rooibos I don't think this blend had an overwhelming flavor of it. The lemon blends very well and stands out in such refreshing way. My tea shelf is stocked with Rooibos blends, mostly from Adagio. I plan on adding this one to my collection soon. I added milk froth on the top, sprinkled it with a dusting of coconut sugar and enjoyed.
This is a really nicely blended tea. The flavors shouldn’t go well together, but they absolutely do. The woodsy flavor from the roobios pairs nicely with the lemon. The lemon isn’t tart, but rather sweet with the creaminess of the vanilla. Adding sugar turned this into a fruity pebble/ trix cereal flavor. Absolutely delicious, and great for late at night with no caffeine!
I feel as if I had a completely different tea than other reviewers. I was expecting not to like it because I generally don't like red rooibos, but the rooibos was not the biggest problem. When I opened the package it smelled like rooibos plus lemon Pledge. When I tasted it (steeped as per instructions), the lemon was overwhelming -- not in a tart, puckery way, but in a cloying perfume / air-freshener way. I tried salvaging it with cream and sugar and managed to finish the cup, but for me this was a very unpleasant tea.
I couldn't go beyond a sip with this one. I'm sorry, it tasted like a furniture polish.
Part of the April 2021 CommuniTEA Box. Dreamy creamy and tart! I have a new favorite!
Oh wowza was this super! A lemony dream of a drink; I am in lemony love! I'm an herbal drinker but rooibos can be tricky. This one shines like your table after you Pledge it :) This is such a delightful sunny cup that it made me smile from ear to ear. Drink it and you will be shining all day! Happy Sipping!
This is a decent tea for a rooibos. It tastes sort of like a lemon cake, with a creamy vanilla note. The lemon and vanilla almost manage to cover up the taste of the rooibos.
Today's CommuniTea packet is rooibos lemon cloud, which includes rooibos tea, lemon grass, marigold flowers, vanilla and lemon flavors. I forgot to cold brew it last night, so I had it hot this evening. The tea is reddish when brewed, with tiny specks at the bottom of your cup -- rooibos easily slips through most filters. Both the vanilla and lemon are easy to smell. This tea won't be a personal favorite, but the lemon and vanilla make it more palatable to me than many other rooibos teas. I'd take a cup if that's what someone was pouring. (12 oz of water at 212 for three minutes)
CommuniTEA: It’s a nice decaf lemon tea, but the touch of cream flavor really elevates it.
I love lemon! From scent to taste, this tea was very lemony. Rooibos isn't my favorite, but I enjoy it paired with flavors that pack a punch. This tea was sweet enough to sip straight up, but I added some stevia monk fruit to enhance the sweetness. I am always happy to see good herbals included in CommuniTEA boxes. They give me something to look forward to at the end of the day.
This rooibos just wasn't up to par. The rooibos itself was loud and in charge but the lemon flavor didn't do anything favorable for the blend. It added this light tartness that made the blend taste extremely unpleasant.
Last year I bought the Lemon Meringue tea and I kinda sorta liked it. It was more astringent than I prefer, and the lemon overpowered the other flavors. So I was expecting more of the same from this tea. I am happy to report I was very wrong! The rooibos gives the tea a buttery flavor, and the vanilla balances the lemon flavor beautifully. It is a smooth, well-rounded tea where the zest of the lemon is softened by the vanilla and rooibos. This tea is what I had hoped the Lemon Meringue tea would be. It's definitely one of my favorite rooibos blends.
my CommuniTea packet smelled of sharp lemon with the tiniest hint of sweeter vanilla, the cup itself was bright and astringent, as rooibos tends to be, and the lemon added that nice citrus sharpness. I didn't taste the vanilla at all, and it definitely feels 'sharp' rather than the 'soft cloud' they advertise. Still delicious lemon tea!
Such a good lemon smell coming out of the packet. The still too hot steeping tea smelled so very strongly of lemon I was a bit afraid. The first sip I shouldn’t quite have taken was also all lemon. But now that it’s cooled a bit it’s a lovely lemon vanilla. I wish I had some tea biscuits to go with it, feels like it would go well with a nice shortbread.
Yum, this smells so much like fresh lemon curd! Once brewed, the lemon is a bit mellower, but some good vanilla hints come through. Definitely a good dessert tea.

Mmm, mmm, mmm. What a lovely blend. The rooibos is a great base, so smooth and nutty and earthy. Lots of lemon flavor from the lemongrass and a great lemony aroma. The vanilla adds a sweet taste and aroma that makes this truly a fabulous blend.
