I tried this because I am a fan of Earl Grey and am always looking for non caffeinated options of tea for the evening. Unfortunately, I have come to the realization I do not care for rooibos teas at all. I think if you like both earl grey and rooibos you would like this though, its just not for me.

The flavors of the rooibos mix rather well with the earl grey.

This is a delicious, caffeine-free spin on earl grey. I love drinking this at night, so tasty. The rooibos pairs really well will the bergamont here. Will definitely purchase again!

Wonderful tea, great aroma and taste, just the right blend. I can honestly say I never miss a 'proper' cup of tea these days, in fact we no longer buy it and haven't for quite a few years. The tea flavour is perhaps initially an acquired taste for some but lends itself to drinking hot or ice(d) cold, with or without milk. My personal taste is brewed in a teapot for a minimum five minutes then served hot with a splash of sevia and soy milk or creamer added afterwards to taste-just the thing to start or even finish the day- without the caffeine! This tea does have a diuretic effect.

I am an Earl Grey addict, and when I reach the time of day that I have to stop drinking it I honestly feel a little sad lol. I had to try this one, and I love it. It doesn't have any of the black tea tannininess that regular Earl Gray has, and the rooibos flavor does stand out. I love rooibos though, and the bergamot and citrus notes make this one shine!

This is an awesome non caffeinated version of Earl Grey tea. For health reasons I had to temporarily cut down on caffeine consumption and had to find a substitute for my morning Earl Grey. This is it, and honestly, I don’t miss the caffeine and might just continue drinking this once I can start having caffeine again.

Everything I love about earl grey tea without the caffiene! I'll often mix this one with the Almond Rooibos.

BEST tea I have ever had! I just happened upon your site when I was looking for a rooibos earl grey tea because I can't have caffeine. I am truly amazed at how delicious your rooibos earl grey is. The day I received it and opened the package, I had 6 full mugs, one right after the other. I savor every sip and am so thankful that I have found you. I am absolutely sure that I will be drinking your tea for the rest of my life!

Love this combo of flavors. Great with a light cookie.

This one surprised me. Usually the bergamot bowls me over in an earl grey, but the rooibos must mute it enough here that I find it palatable. It's very creamy, smooth and rich and almost feels 'desserty'. Add a little almond milk and this is a nice cuppa to sip after work. Happy Sipping!

I dislike rooibos and earl grey is one of my favorite teas, so I was curious where I'd land on this one. It's a very pretty tea with the blue cornflower, but unfortunately the mustiness/woodiness of the rooibos takes lead in it for me. It's okay, but not something I'd order again.

A slightly woody take on a classic profile. This is good to have on hand when I am craving a London Fog latte later in the day.

Soo yummy! One of my favorites for sure—the rooibos compliments the earl grey so nicely.

I love this so much more than caffeinated earl grey! It has a smoother taste and much less astringent. The citrus is so pleasant. This is great with a little sweetness and your milk of choice!

This blend is a great earthy and sweet blend. Perfect for having a cup before bed or early in the morning!

Not the best rooibos EG I've tried. It's pretty mild. I like the bergamot.

This tea was very citrus-forward, and light on the rooibos. I enjoyed it, but it did not stand up to milk as much as a black earl grey would (my favorite way to drink it).

Tried this as a hot and iced tea. Preference definitely as a hot tea latte. The rooibos flavoring adds a nice decaffeinated twist on a classic.

I can't say I was a huge fan of this. It was a little bland.

Tried this as a decaf option for having late-night Earl Gray lattes. I love rooibos and earl gray, but something in the combination of the two is not quite right. It is missing the lovely 'depth' that most earl grays have. Not bad, just not for me.

It's rooibos, it's earl grey, it's great!! So nice to find that classic earl grey taste in a caffeine free tea.

This tea is ok. Its biggest problem seems to be it is suffering from a sort of identity crisis. The rich, sultry, earthy aromatic rooibos collides with the bergamot a little haphazardly. It gives the drinker the distinct sensation that they have topped off their cup of tea with a different tea than what they were drinking. It's definitely not a bad tea by any means, but it is a little off putting at first. All in all I wouldn't say it isn't enjoyable but definitely for someone who wants to contemplate whether the tea is Earl Grey or Rooibos.

My husband and I enjoyed this tea. It gave a nice variety to our tea drinking.

A longtime fan of all Earl Grey blends, this blend does not disappoint. A beautiful fragrant Earl Grey and a nice way to start my day.

Nice blend. The bergamot flavor is just a bit strong for me, but it's a great alternative for those of us who can't handle caffeine. Love to add steamed milk after steeping to make a tea latte.

A nice combination of rooibos and Earl Grey. Makes a dark pink colored tea, smooth and delicious.

Tried with CommuniTEA. I usually dislike red rooibos, so I wouldn't have picked this on my own. There was plenty of bergamot and orange flavor, and it almost kept the rooibos flavor in check. It still does taste like rooibos though.

This is not a bad tea, and I'm giving it a higher star than I am inclined to because I think my expectations are the issue here, not the tea.
On opening the tea, I was hit with the overwhelming scent of bergamot–but also a bit of cream, I suspect from the rooibos itself. And I immediately thought of one of my favorite teas, Earl Grey Moonlight.
This, alas, is not Earl Grey Moonlight. It is a surprisingly pleasant earl grey rooibos, and I say that because although the Earl Grey Moonlight is a favorite, I am actually not a fan of plain standard Earl Grey. I find bergamot tends to be an overwhelming and often acrid flavor It's not, here. You get the scent and taste of orange–almost orange flower–upfront, and then the pleasant herbyness of the rooibos, before what can only be described as a polite bergamot finish. The aftertaste is very clean and does not linger.
Overall, a nice cup of tea–I just had my hopes up for a bit more.

I love Rooibos and citrus fruits like orange and lemon so I had high hopes when I opened the CommuniTEA packet and there was a strong citrus aroma. I have never been a big fan of Earl Grey and found it to taste bitter. I have always assumed the bitter taste came from the black tea that was over steeped. Now I know the Bergamot is the real reason I don't like Earl Grey. I steeped this cup 195 degrees x 5 min and added 1/4 tsp honey/brown sugar. Although I might not pour it down the drain I am not enjoying this cup and hope it improves as it cools.

I love an earl grey and I enjoy a rooibos, but this wasn't the combination I was expecting. It kind of tastes like a citrusy rooibos, which is good, but not as 'earl grey' as I was hoping.
★★☆☆☆
First of all, rooibos is not my favorite tea. Second, Earl Grey is not my favorite flavor. With both of those stated, this was not the tea for me. But if you like rooibos and Earl Grey, you will probably like this tea.

I hate rooibos, I hate earl grey.
Kiddo who got passed the cup and likes both, said she likes it a little.

Brewed at 212° for 5 minutes
The scent upon opening the back was delightful, However, I was getting notes of 'wet dog' once I started to actually steep it. The flavor isn't terrible. The bergamot is rather strong and drowns out the rooibos. I much prefer the classic black tea earl grey to this. Probably won't be buying it.

I love both rooibos and Earl Grey so I was excited to try this tea. Opening the Communitea packet I was greeted with the aroma of citrus and rooibos. Everything was present in the packet and it made for a lovely sip. The rooibos is the predominant flavor with the orange coming through as support. The bergamot comes through at the end.
★★★★☆
I was expecting this to be very strong, as the sample I had had from the rooibos sampler was almost overwhelming. When it came up in today’s CommuniTEA, I knew I needed to brew it a bit weaker for me to fully enjoy it. Rather than doing 8oz, I went ahead and did 12oz. This helped cut back on the overpowering bergamot flavors, and toned it down into a pleasant cup. I added honey to enhance the woodsy flavors of the rooibos.

This is a wonderful decaf Earl Grey option. While I'll always pick the decaf Ceylon option over the decaf rooibos, I appreciate that Adagio has this available. The bergamot was strong and clear and the rooibos wasn't noticeable. An excellent decaf option. (5 min @ 212°F)

I love earl grey, and hate rooibos, so I have this to my boyfriend (who likes both). He said it tastes like you cleaned a counter with pledge and then licked it. I tried the tea, and got nothing but lemony funk. Bleach.

This earl grey has quite a medicinal taste - sharp and herbal like a fancy cough drop. Overall, I missed the black tea of a classic earl grey.

I found this to be quite woody, the earl grey and orange didn't come through for me.

I really love rooibos tea. I dislike earl grey (tastes like dirty dishwater to me). This was an interesting CommuniTEA day. The rooibos did mellow the earl grey flavor so that it was somewhat palatable. The taste was quite flat. Nothing stood out. If I was visiting someone and they offered this tea, I would drink it but I would not order it myself.

Although there are many modern variations of Earl Grey tea, there are certain expectations of taste. This tea didn’t measure up. The rooibos dominated the bergamot. The addition of orange and cornflower only made it taste less like an Earl Grey. If you are looking for a fruity rooibos to enjoy, this may be your cup of tea. If you are looking for an Earl Gray, let me suggest Adagio’s Earl Grey Bravo, Bella Luna or even Earl Grey Lavender.

I was truly hoping for the bergamot to save the day on this CommuniTea packet today. I don't like rooibos...I won't pretend to, but I was hopeful that the strong Earl Grey flavor was enough to cover the icky (in my opinion) taste of the rooibos. When it was hot and freshly brewed I could tolerate it, however as it cooled the rooibos taste became more prominent.

It felt so strange to be drinking an earl grey that was absent of the traditional tannic bitterness from black tea, which meant I could drink this black instead of my usual cream and sugar. However, the bergamot flavor is amplified because of it, and I feel indifferent about bergamot on the best of days, so it doesn't come close to how much I like your average earl grey. If you like rooibos and bergamot more than I do, this would likely be a big winner!
