I am a lover of both rooibos and Earl Grey, so this is a double winner for me. Enjoyed in the PM.

UPDATED from 1/4/2: There is a strong rooibos and orange aroma wafting up out of the CommuniTea packet today. After steeping, this tea is a bright red amber color. Flavor wise, the rooibos seems to have minimized the bitter bergamot, because this is a smooth tasting tea. The earthy rooibos is in the starring role (so if you don’t like rooibos, this is not the tea for you), with all the other ingredients, like the orange, taking supporting parts. They all work well together, even as the tea cools, so this would make a good ice tea. Adding ¼ teaspoon of honey and a little whipping cream (to 10 oz) sure makes this delicious. At the end, the bergamot sneaks out for a brief bow at the finish. I am a big fan of rooibos teas, so this will be one added to my cupboard. Being caffeine free - it is now one of my favorite Earl Greys. (5 mins @ 212ºF + sweetener and cream).

I tried this tea in my Communitea box. I love rooibos tea, but dislike earl grey, so I wasn't sure how I would feel about this. Out of the three earl grey teas we've tried in March, this was my favorite. It was good with some milk and a little honey.

The orange aroma that greeted me from today's CommuniTEA packet was a very nice welcome to this new day. Paired with the combination of the rooibos, this is a wonderfully smooth tasting Earl Grey tea minus the caffeine. I love Earl Greys and this did not disappoint. I will definitely be ordering this in the near future.

This tea is very pretty, with all of the different colors and textures. However, I am not a fan of the woodiness of the rooibos with the flavors of Earl Grey. For a decaf Earl, I prefer Adagio's decaf Earl Grey.

Rooibos makes a very mild and pleasant Earl Grey tea. I’m enjoying it with just a little sweetener! I brewed at 190 for 5 minutes. I’ve been drinking a lot of Earl Grey teas recently so I read about the origins of the tea blend and thought one theory was interesting. Apparently London water had a lot of limescale in it, so the bergamot was blended in to make the tea more palatable! I’m really starting to enjoy the Earls. My favorite is still Earl Blue Decaf. The blueberries add so much and I can enjoy it late in the evening.

This has grown on me!
Not in a creepy weird way!!!
But a sweet surprise!

Rooibos brings sweet
Earl Grey brings citrus-y-ness
A sunny delight!

Or

This tea is just right
Cheerfully sunny, and bright
An Earl Grey delight!

Like a summer walk
Just meandering along
Enjoying the breeze

I think this might be the best earl grey tea I have ever tasted.

I find the reviews for this tea highly interesting—and opposing. Some taste the rooibos more, and some the bergamot. I’m in the camp that the rooibos is the star of the tea, and tones down the bergamot. As the tea cools, the bergamot makes itself more known. The orange is in a minor supporting role. My rating doesn’t reflect how much I like the tea—as I neither like rooibos or Earl Grey. It reflects that I think the tea is interesting in the way that the flavors work together, and that rooibos and Earl Grey fans will likely love this tea.

I loved the smell and taste. I love earl grey but sometimes the caffeine versions cause headaches so I am lovin this caffeine free version.

I am not overly fond of Earl Grey so I was a bit skeptical. I was pleasantly surprised that I really enjoyed this tea. I added just a bit of honey and it balance the flavors well for me.

I was surprised by this tea, I don't care much for rooibos, and Earl Grey is so-so, but together they worked really well for me! They balanced eachother out nicely and made for a pleasant evening cup!

Love Earl Grey but not caffeine? This tea is amaze-balls. I drink with milk and am dizzy with delight at my good fortune finding this Earl Grey clone. Smells just as good after brewing. The first tea I’ve bought the “giant” bag of. It is delightful. Steep longer than a regular cup.

I was delighted by the rooibos version of the classic Earl Grey. The flavor was comparable to the black tea, and the option to avoid the extra caffeine intake is wonderful. Now I can enjoy Earl Grey any time of the day!

This tea was a gift for my Mom, since she generally doesn t care for black teas. She had this tea a maple latte and told me that she loves it. She says that the fruity flavour makes her think of fruit loops! @adagioteas

So good! Not as sharp as regular earl grey with black tea, but can still tell it's earl grey.

★★★★★

A very nice alternative to a traditional black tea earl grey. The earl grey is strong while the rooibos is mild, but overall I think it works quite nicely.

I love to have an early grey that I can drink in the evening! This blend is delicious on its own, though I usually put a bit of milk and honey in my Earl grey, the flavors of this are so balanced it doesn't need anything

★★★★★

Earl Grey is my favorite tea. This one is great for evening drinking--no caffeine and a great flavor that is sweet enough to substitute for dessert but not overly sweet. @adagioteas

This is a good, but not amazing, Rooibos (and this caffeine-free) alternative to the classic Earl Grey. The bergamot felt a bit 'heavy,' but that might be intentional to prevent the Rooibos flavor from taking over. If you enjoy Rooibos you may really like this, but if you’re just looking for a caffeine-free Earl Grey that is as authentic as possible, you’re better off with a decaf variety.

I really enjoy earl grey but most days I don't drink it due to it's caffeine content. This tea is just what the doctor ordered! Amazing earl grey flavor without keeping me awake until 2am. I cannot recommend this one enough!

I love Earl grey, but can't have caffeine, and decaf black tea is a bit iffy as well. This tea really hits the spot. I'm not a fan of red rooibos on its own, but this blend works well for me.

This is a great tea for Earl Grey lovers without the caffeine. Perfect way to satisfy those evening cravings.

This is excellent. The roobios gives this earl grey a very smooth experience compared to standard earl grey. It's just what I want out of an earl grey.

★★★★★

This tea is heavenly. I love that when I look T the wet tea ingridients in the strainer I see real leaves, flowers, and spices.

★★★★★

I love this tea, it is one I keep stocked in our house. I love that no matter how long it steeps it doesn't get bitter.

★★★★★

The perfect blend of Rooibos and Earl Grey! Two of my favorites.

Absolutely love it. Very smooth and light, but still with clear Earl Grey notes.

This tea is wonderful - my partner can't do caffeine but missed earl grey, so this was a perfect gift. :)

I like it because I love Earl Grey. I’m not entirely sure that there needed to be a caffeine-free rooibos edition…not really tasting the rooibos

Definitely a favorite, taste just like Earl Grey.

★★★★★

Lovely citrus, floral and bergamot fragrance - this is the best smelling Earl Grey yet - both before and after steeping! The flavor was just as good as the smell, everything pairs well. The bergamot was not real strong (usually I like the stronger flavor) and blended perfectly with the orange and cornflowers. A new favorite for me.

What's interesting is that this does have earl grey notes, but it actually tastes more lemony than anything else. It's very bright, almost a pick me up despite it being decaf.

★★★★☆

It's absolutely a lighter earl grey, it's not harsh on the stomach, it's just citrusy and sweet. A good blend in to other things if you like bergamont, and a good overnight iced tea as well.

★★★★☆

Really nice for a different take on a decaf Earl Grey. The bergamot goes nicely with the rooibos, but if you over steep it can be a bit overpowering in my experience. Please note, water boils at 199 degrees where I am, due to altitude.

This might just be a personal preference, but I'm not a fan of the medicinal rooibos taste. To me, it's like having Robitussin in my tea.

★★★★☆

I was very happy to find an earl grey that does not involve anything from the tea plant in it. Bergamot is my most positive flavor association and I am always happy to have an opportunity to consume it. I love the way the rooibos and the bergamot work together, but I find that the orange peel was an interruption rather than an enhancement. If the orange peel were not present, it would be a perfect cup of tea for me. Still a very enjoyable cup.

Naturally a bit sweet from the rooibos, but the bergamot flavor is milder than a black Earl Grey tea

★★★☆☆

I really like their rooibos tea but these two flavours just don't, go well together. It isn't bad, but if you want a decaf earl grey -- try the earl grey! Otherwise, get one of their yummy rooibos teas!

★★★★☆

This just came in the mail and I was super excited about it! I love both rooibos and earl grey teas. The tea was very smooth which was expected as it is a rooibos; however, the early grey just seemed quite off. I don t know how to place my finger on what exactly was off, but it wasn t the earl grey taste I m used to.
