A very sweet tea, I didn't feel the need to add much honey to it. I love rooibos, so I really enjoy this, though the caramel taste isn't very strong. I can pick up the caramel more-so in the scent and aftertaste. It leaves a sort of caramel taste after swallowing, I think, but not much besides that. I probably won't order this again.
Smells bold and caramel-y in the bag, and maybe a bit boozy as well, but no matter how I steeped it, it didn't taste like much. I definitely prefer this one blended with other teas.
This smelled like liquor when I opened the bag. Maybe sweet, sugary liquor, but liquor nonetheless. It sort of burned my nostrils and the tea didn't taste like much of anything to me. I seem to be in a minority though.
I'm still experimenting with this one. It's got a pretty good flavor. I brewed it extra strong and made a fairly yummy latte with it. I need to see how it stands on its own two feet as well. It will never replace the Masala Chai, but it is a wonderful option for something hot and creamy that's caffeine free for the evening and isn't hot chocolate. It's a wonderful change of pace.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this. It doesn't need much sweetener and was perfect for a cool morning/evening.
If you love the rooibos vanilla you will love this. Noticeable caramel taste, it is a sweeter version of the vanilla, quite good!

This is tied with rooibos almond for one of my favorite sweet rooibos teas. There is still the red, not-quite-medicine flavor of rooibos, but it's relaxed with the sweet, brown sugar caramel flavoring. I love that it's caffeine free and it makes for a nice cozy desert tea. I hope to use it blend soon!
This was like sipping on a Wherther's caramel candy. It has a very creamy caramel flavor to it. It is one of my favorites so far.
Just got the package in today and this was the first tea my mom and I tried. In the pack, it smells just like caramel, which I love. I brewed a cup and it was gone within ten minutes, in part by me and my mom. Definitely going to get more.

It sounds great and smells great. When you get flavored tea you expect it to taste like the name. This one has a light taster but hints at an almost caramel flavor. My wife says its a mix of caramel and sweet aromatic tobacco.
I wanted to try a flavored rooibos to make experiment with other flavored tea. I am very happy with the rich, deep and creamy taste this tea brings. Excellent with vanilla oolong and also plain. Very soothing and sweet.

If you like rooiboses and you like caramel, then this one's a no-brainer. The naturally bold flavor of the rooibos is a good combination with the richness of the caramel. Perhaps a bit too strong for people who are not absolutely obsessed with rooibos as a tea.
This was my first time trying a rooibos tea from Adagio and it is now one of my favorites! It really tastes like caramel, even without adding any sweeteners.

VERY caramel in nose and flavor. It works very well as a blending tea. the caramel note comes across strongest when the tea is cool/cold as opposed to hot. I still love it in a lot of my personal blends, though. It adds just the right note for berry and spice teas.
This smells absolutely DIVINE. I love it! So much like caramel. I can't imagine drinking just a cup of it and have been using it in blends.

This blend is good. Honestly, I love rooibos tea so much, I haven't found a blend I (don't) like!
This is my first rooibos tea, so to be fair I'm not sure what it's supposed to taste like. But once i added a little sugar it brought out the caramel. Rating might change once I play around with additives and steeping time, but for now I think it's good.
The best way I could describe it is if you've ever had Bigelow's caramel vanilla bagged tea. Take that, and make it infinitely better, and swap the dusty taste of not-so-good black tea with rooibos. I steep mine anywhere from 10 minutes to a few hours and I've never had it taste bad or 'too much'.
I love rooibos teas, and the caramel was no exception. The only real complaint I had was that I could smell the caramel far better than I could taste it.
However, it was a pretty decent tea, both plain and with sugar. I only received a sample, but I'll likely buy a bag in the future.

I was surprised to read reviews saying the caramel was too dominant in this tea, because I didn't taste much caramel at all. The tea tasted good, but I felt the rooibos flavor was too strong to appreciate the caramel. I did notice the caramel was more intense after letting the tea cool for a few minutes. I really enjoy a 50/50 blend of this tea with honeybush hazelnut.
I will way this--it DEFINITELY tastes like caramel. A lot. Too much, in fact. The smell is overpowering in the bag and the taste overshadows ALL of the rooibos flavors when brewed. It becomes quite cloying and unpleasant. I can see this flavor being quite nice when blended in small quantities with other flavors, but on its own, I think I'll pass.
I LOVED this tea. I found that I had to steep it for a longer time than suggested to get the best flavor, but it is well worth the wait. Perfectly sweet on its own, I had it both hot and iced.
My all time favorite. I wanted to stop drinking coffee and this tea got me off coffee with no looking back. Hopefully it will not go away
This is a very light tea. Since it has a rooibos base, it ends up being a bit more woodsy than I'd like. But it is great for late nights when avoiding caffeine.

This is a fantastic tea - it's got a very warm, strong, sweet caramel note. The rooibos and caramel mix well - it's definitely a very different flavor than the black caramel tea because of the rooibos, but the rooibos mixes very nicely with the caramel to produce a tea that's overall lighter-bodied, not quite as strong, but still sweet and tasty. Another tea that's great if you want to drink tea at night but can't take caffeine (and it mixes well with rooibos vanilla or rooibos nut flavors!)
I really love the warm caramel tones in this tea. It isn't my favorite tea but it's yummy and warm and is great for when I need tea but not necessarily caffeine.

I think I like the Caramel black much better than this. It's even-keeled, smooth, velvety, indulgent. This rooibos version lacks the full body and decadence of its cousin, and actually smells so crazy-sweet as to be a little scary.
The smell of tea is always stronger than the taste. this time, the taste is the same as the smell if you put in at least 4 full teaspoons of sugar in a coffee mug size cup. It's delicious!

Good, but not what I would consider exceptional. It just doesn't stand out to me in terms of rooibos.
Generally the rooibos teas are too light tasting for me, this one however was almost too strong on it's own. It was perfect blended with other teas however (especially earl grey, YUM!)

This is a light, creamy, absolutely delicious tea. Excellent with a little sugar, better than dessert if you add a little milk as well. Use a teabag if leaves in your cup bother you.
For my first taste of rooibos, this wasnt that bad. The smell of the caramel when opening the bag was a bit overwhelming, but when made the tea itself wasnt half bad. I think I just need to get used to it a little more and I'll like it better. It does make a really sweet and yummy dessert tea.
This tea is amazing hot and iced. When making it hot, I have to put the tea in a tea bag inside of my strainer because the leaves are so fine, but other than that, this tea is perfect. Sometimes I add a little caramel syrup to help bring out the caramel flavor, but I love rooibos anyway so the tea is perfect.
