This is a really subtle flavor. I personally couldn't taste the caramel until I added sugar. I think adding some kind of spice would round this tea out nicely, maybe even some milk. It's def on the sweet side since it's base is Rooibos.

This stuff is fantastic. My first experience with rooibos was through low quality teabags, but I decided to give it a second chance. I was amazed. Creamy and smooth, it tasted exactly like the caramel that they said was in it.
Carmel should not be a tea flavor. It's trying to taste like a sweet cup of Starbucks but it can't. The aftertaste is great though.
This is one excellent tea! Caramel is a perfect match for rooibos, they really compliment each other. Very smooth and full of flavor.

I got this sample to experiment with in some blends. We didn't enjoy it as much as other rooibos flavors. The caramel isn't quite strong enough against the slightly medicinal natural rooibos flavor.
Thank you so much Tyler W for is sample! It's delicious. I've always preferred to use roobios as a base for other herbal blends. This caramel roobios will make a fantastic base fir a hot toddy or chocolate blend since it's really smooth and naturally sweet on its own. I can't wait to start mixing my own blends.
Something is missing in this rooibos. The taste is too artificial.
I prefer to mix this in with other teas (this and honeybush chocolate together, for instance). But with a bit of sugar and milk, it makes for a nice cup on its own.
It doesn't taste like caramel so much as it tastes like rooibos, maybe burnt caramel? But I got it to mix with chocolate chai, and it tastes delicious that way! I just don't think drinking it plain is going to happen any time in the near future.
I do not like the flavor at all. Would recommend using a paper filter also.

Until I ordered this tea, I hadn't tasted rooibos tea before - and now, this caramel blend is my new favourite tea! It tastes just like a Starbucks' caramel frappuchino, if you accidentally put too much sugar in (oops!), is good warm or cold, and is caffiene free! What more could you ask for? All-in-all, very delicious and very good quality.
Caramel is a perfect choice to blend with rooibos and this tea is a winner. It's almost like a dessert. The caramel blends with the natural, vanilla-like flavor of the rooibos to create a rich beverage. I used the amber sugar crystals to sweeten it (no Stevia for this one) and it was like drinking a liquified piece of English Toffee!!
The caramel doesn't really blend well with the rooibos for me. It's a bit too sweet.
If you like caramel you'll like this one. It's subtle but very good.
This was ok, but it just didn't quite do it for me. I like my caramel in other forms.
I'm not a huge rooibos fan. However, I do like to use them in small percentages. They do have a way of mellowing out a tea that might be too bold. That being said, this rooibos is decent. The caramel definitely helps tame the medicinal nature of rooibos teas. Not too bad.

I'm a big caramel fan. This blend was really perfect with some cinnamon sugar and sometimes a splash of almond milk.
so... when I first opened the pouch, I was hit with an awesome tobacco-y smell... I loved it. When I brewed it (a tablespoon for 18-oz of water), the smell became stronger. I didn't notice the caramel taste until I sweetened it a bit (amber sugar crystals!!) and added a tiny bit of cream. And then, as I drank it, I started hating it... the tobacco smell became way too much for me... I don't know whether it's this blend or whether it's the classic rooibos characteristics... but if the next rooibos I try is like this one, I won't be trying another.
I hated this tea when I first tried it and didn't touch it for a while. I tried it again, and love it now! I think I messed it up earlier because I was new and tea drinking and the water I was using wasn't hot enough. I find that this tea is great as a dessert tea when you add a nice amount of honey. But be warned that if you generally don't like teas with flavorings added, you most likely won't like this one.
A great beverage for night-time, when wanting a non-floral or non-herbal flavor. Very smooth and soft in mouth. A rich flavor with a nice finish.
This tea is delicious. It has many of the same flavors as the rooibos vanilla.
You can smell the caramel more than you can taste it but it is wonderfully satisfying.
This tea is the perfect dessert tea- the caramel isn't overwhelming (or cloying)- I add a dash of honey for an after-dinner treat.
The foibles has its own flavor distinct from black teas, and caramel might just be the perfect pairing for it.
The caramel flavor was not as strong as I would have liked, but still pleasant. It's nice with milk and brown sugar, but I recommend steeping longer, or with extra tea.
nice. light scent of burnt sugar. taste of caramel is very mild even when you sweeten the tea. pleasant but not strongly flavored.

I have enjoyed every Rooibos tea I have tried from Adagio. This one is very good as well. Nice flavor, I will be back for more.
I bought this to blend for dessert teas, and I must say that I was disappointed. The caramel flavor is subtle at best. Had this been a stronger flavor, I could have done so much with it. But as it is, I probably won't even finish my sample. Such a shame, too.
