Rooibos Almond Customer Reviews

This was the year I discovered I really like Rooibos, as such I want to try all the flavors! I wanted to attempt a chocolate almond tea (still figuring out how to get the chocolate flavor). I tried this by itself, to familiarize myself. The almond flavor is very strong! In it's product description it is likened to marzipan and I tell you, that is spot on. As someone who is actually not a fan of super strong almond I don't think I would drink this on it's own again, but I'm definitely going to experiment with mixing it.

I really, really like the strong almond flavor in this one. That's a good thing--I have had almond teas before that were a whisper of almond but this one is bold!

This was the tea that I first tried. It’s been a while since I got back into teas. My last tea was with teavana when they did loose lead. Adagio’s version of this tea is 100 times better. Easily my favorite. If you mix it with golden monkey, it’s even better.

I wish it would taste as much as it smells but an ok tea.

This tea has grown to be one of my favorites. It reminds me of baking cookies with my mom when I was a kid. It's a light flavor but very cozy. I love it!

Same as plain rooibos. Loved the flavor but not the stimulation.

Really good. Love all the varieties of rooibos tea.

This is one of our favorites. My son loves this tea with the slight almond flavor.

I love the flavor of almond. The almond flavor shines in this tea. I would order it again.

I enjoyed this tea, although not my favourite, it is good without having that strong almond extract flavour that sometimes happens.

My favorite red tea ever. We try new ones every year or two and always come back to this.

I generally like Rooibos blends, but something about this one just tasted overly artificial and it had a weird aftertaste. Ended up gifting it to someone else, who seemed to enjoy it, so YMMV!

This has a nice almond taste- mild, not too strong. But since I was wanting this to make homemade chais with- I wanted something a little more flavorful.

Disappointed. I like more flavor. Was a Teavanna fan. Have now switched to Stash since Adagio isn't for me.

The almond flavor isn’t strong - the smell of this tea is great and misleading. I still love the tea though.

I thought I would like this, but I found it bitter and the almond taste was not what I was expecting. I guess I was thinking it would taste more like almond extract, but instead the almond flavor was too strong and bitter.

This is a very interesting aromatic rooibos and is in my rotation of daily rooibos aroma teas. It is less prominent than other aromatic teas but it's still a quite solid taste of nearly marcipan-ey almond that is quite nice - especially in the after taste.

Tastes like marzipan! This is the almond tea I've been searching for. Beautiful red color when brewed, and wonderful fragrance and flavor.

I am in love with this tea! I really enjoy marzipan almond flavors, but usually only find them in black teas. I like to brew a big pot of this in the evening and then finish the rest off in the morning. It’s also delicious chilled.

One of our favorites. We blend most of our Adagio teas, but not this one. This one is great on it's own. It's good with milk and honey, but it's at least as good by itself.

Rooibus Jasmine is forever my favorite rooibos tea from Adagio, but this almond flavor is pretty delightful, itself. Going to try it with cream next, or a tiny pinch of sugar, to see if that changes the flavors at all.

Another wonderful Rooibos its a nice one to mix with the chocolate variety too or vanilla.

This has to be my all time favorite tea. I grew up on almond flavored tea and haven't been able to find it since. My children even love this tea!

Not nearly almondy enough - was over shadowed by the rooibos

Sweet, deep, naturally decaf. A restful cup after a long hard day.

Very basic (but yummy) tea on its own. Tastes like almond extract, which I LOVE, but I was bored with my cup before I finished it. This will make a GREAT blending tea.

I like this one but think I prefer the Rooibos Vanilla much more.

This is one I always have to keep in stock, as it mixes so well with so many teas.

This has such a strong almond marzipan flavor, it's almost overpowering. I tone it down by mixing with other flavors. It pairs well with vanilla and fruity flavors.

I like plain rooibos, so flavors can be annoying, but this one? It's a treat. With a little sweetener and cream it tastes a lot like sugar cookie dough.

Great nut explosion of flavor balanced with mellow rooibos

I was very disappointed with this tea. In the past, I've had almond teas that had actual almonds in them, and those are amazing! This one uses almond extract, which is from a more bitter variety of almond than ones you eat, and made this tea unpleasant to drink. If you don't mind almond extract, it might not bother you, but we weren't fans.

Another one of my favorite teas. It's a nice flavor and I've even mixed it with chocolate for an interesting combo.

Sugar cookie? I would have sworn there was a sugar cookie in my tea from this one.

Slightly brown sugary, almost burnt tasting but still good. It mostly tastes like marzipan to me.

This tea is wonderful! The almond really comes through to enrich the flavor of the rooibos!

I love this with cream and sugar. It's my go to dessert.

Light and nutty, but beyond a slight smell of almond, it doesn't have too much of the taste of Almond.

Not really a fan. The red rooibos smell with the flavor of almonds is cloying to me, and it made the almond taste very artificial. Try other rooibos teas instead; I don't like straight rooibos, but other varieties from Adagio are quite good.

Really enjoy this natural almond flavor. very good with steamed milk and honey!

This tea, much like others, has a wonderful scent though it's not as much of an almond taste as the vanilla is in the Rooibos Vanilla tea. I like it, but it could probably use either a bit of honey or creamer.

Wonderful blend of the soft rooibos I love and lots of almond. I use almond honey with it. Yum!

I love Celestial Seasonings Almond Sunset, which can be difficult to find. This is the closest almond tea I've found. I tried a black Teavana almond tea years ago and also Tiesta Almond tea -- both were good, but not quite what I was looking for. Will probably order full size.

The almond flavor is the best part about this tea.

I really liked this tea at first, but I ve come to prefer other teas over this one. Smells and tastes sort of like children's medicine to me.
