I have never had rooibos, and I have never had almond flavored tea. With that said, I wasn't sure what to expect. You get a nice nutty almond flavor that isn't as strong as it smells. This is a desert style tea that you don't need cream and sugar with if you so choose, it has a nice natural flavor on its own. I am defiantly going to buy more rooibos. Out of honeybush, rooibos, and mate I sampled -- I would have say mate is my favorite b/c it taste a lot like green tea to me. Almost with the same health benefits as well. But they are all so good, so its hard to choose. Almond is an important flavor to have if you plan on blending, it will go well with citrus, mint, and even chocolate.
I wish it was more almond-y, but this tea is good, with a subtle nutty flavor.

I LIKED THE ROOIBOS ALMOND BY ITSELF BUT I ENJOYED IT EVEN MORE BLENDING IT WITH PEACH OOLONG AND ANY OF THE CHERRY BLENDS.

Smells a lot like cherry extract and I couldn't really taste the almond.For me the taste is a bit too strong- I did add cream and sugar to it and that did help some but this definitely was not my favorite. I probably wouldn't buy again.
Oh, delicious. I was worried the almond would overpower the rooibos and end up tasting fake, but it doesn't! It's perfectly balanced and doesn't even need sugar. This tea has become my number 2 favorite.

While not AS bold as other almond teas I've had, I still enjoy it quite a bit. In fact, I'm about to have a cup right now. :)
I was a little nervous about this when I opened the bag for the first time. The almond scent was very intense! However, after brewing 1tsp for 5 minutes and adding a bit of milk it was delicious. The almond was not overpowering. I am usually not a fan of flavored teas, but I really enjoyed this.
This tea has a really good favor. Not super strong but nice.
The smell of this blew us away! I personally love almonds, and this actually reminded both of us of amaretto. Incredible odor profile. The flavor, however, was a bit flatter than we thought it might be, even though we steeped for the recommended time, and even longer to see if it would be fuller and richer. We were able to lift this tea to a better flavor profile with the addition of licorice root for a tinge of sweetness. It's a good tea, but not completely what we hoped it would be.
This tea is delightful! I enjoy rooibos with dessert flavors, and the almond is my favorite so far. It really does taste like marzipan. It can be a bit astringent when over-steeped, but a touch of milk helps with that.

Ha, all the description had to do was mention 'marzipan,' and I was sold. I'm new to rooibos-drinking, and this blend has certainly convinced me to keep trying those teas. It's a lovely after-dinner tea, perfect in place of a sweet, but also good with dessert. The flavor needs a small amount of sugar to bloom, and it's best when just brewed. I will say that if Adagio made a decaf almond black tea, I probably wouldn't have tried this one, but I'm glad I ordered it.
Something about this tea just didn't taste right. I think it would be better blended with a bit of sweetener, milk, and vanilla flavoring.
First off, don't buy this unless you like almond extract. It smells like maraschino cherries, which is a big plus for me, but maybe not if you were expecting a nuttier flavor. I foresee this being a new evening habit.
If you like the taste of amaretto then you will like this. If you want a stronger almond taste use 2 teabags per cup and steep for the maximum instructed time.
Very smooth tasting tea with slight taste of marzipan. One of the most delicious teas I have tasted! Pairs well with honey, but tastes great alone as well.
This is one of the best rooibos blends that Adagio offers. I really enjoy the nutty almond flavor which is similar to marzipan. It makes for a good afternoon or dessert tea.

Holy steeped tea-leaves Batman! This is arguably one of the best tasting rooibos teas I've ever had, and I've had a lot. Like, a LOT! Deliciously sweet and robust, this tea has no need whatsoever for any sweetener.
Another tea that is Okay on it's own. But I find it's a lot better in a blend than as a stand alone.

I had this mixed in with honeybush Hazelnut and rooibos caramel and some creamer and it was the BEST! I just had to order some more.
Oh. My. GOD! Ohmygodohmygodohmygod! This tea is incredible! I love all of the rooibos teas I've ever had(except, oddly, for all of them from Teavana except the one that is like the bonita here only more expensive) but this one definitely doesn't disappoint. I'm drinking it warm, and it is absolutely heavenly! I can't wait to have more. And to order a big bag for myself!
And a side note, I've got it in my ingenuiTEA, and while it has been sitting for long enough for it to cool down a lot, it hasn't gotten bitter at all. Another reason I enjoy rooibos teas, but I figure that alone makes it perfect if you're going to have two cups, and don't want it to over steep before you can drink the second cup.
Updating this. . . It was amazing WARM, but now that it is mostly room temp, it isn't as good. I've got the feeling this would be best as a warm tea, and not an iced one, sadly.
I like this one because it almost has a sort of marzipan taste to it. You need to add sugar to really bring out the taste because otherwise the almond is pretty bland. Just a little bit of sugar though and it becomes this sweet, nutty, classy flavor that I just can't get enough of!
I love love love this tea. It's so comforting! It reminds me a bit of coffee, but in more of a fancy latte way than anything else. It's sweet and the almond flavor is just the right amount. It doesn't get lost, but it isn't overpowering either. Two thumbs up!

Don't like that it's artificial almond flavor but it's pretty darn tasty. Great hot tea for before bed. Might be good for blends but not sure if I'll order it on its own again.

The almond smells stronger than it tastes, almost too strong. But the tea itself tastes fine. You mostly taste the rooibos, despite the almond smell. A light and delicate tea.

This had a nice almond flavor, not too cloying. I did however find myself wanting to add more to it, like vanilla. I am glad to have received this as a sample. needs more to stand alone.
