Bought for my mom, we both sampled this. We enjoyed it hot/ no additions. I would love to try again hot with added sweetner/ cream, I think it would make a great dessert-y cuppa.

This is absolutely fabulous, and is my new afternoon treat!

Absolutely FANTASTIC marzipan aroma and flavor. Adding a little bit of honey or sugar makes it next level good. I bet it'd make a fantastic sweet milky tea. Makes me want an almond croissant!

This is a well rounded tea. It's a fine line with almond tea to keep it flavorful but not overpowering. Adagio kept this tea delightfully flavored.

★★★★★

This has a great flavor! It is not too strong and overpowering. It is not astringent. My kids enjoy a cup every morning!

I generally like red rooibos (to me it tastes like honey), though it can easily overpower anything it's paired with. The almost did pretty well with it, but it was still a bit underwhelming. Brewed for 6 minutes with a packet of Splenda.

★★★★☆

The packet smells just like amaretto cookies. It has a nice almond and rooibos flavor, nice and smooth.

Rooibie Almond is a nice note in blends, for me...by itself, not something I would need to have, on-hand..Almond flavor tea of any sort isn't a fav-go-to ...but a nice 'once in awhile' vibe.

This does have a nice almond flavor, although it's a little too one-note to get a full rating from me.

rooibos is hit or miss for me, this blend is a hit! It all comes together so smoothly, sweetly, it's a delicious warm treat.

Normally im fine with rooibos and I'm even fine with almond, petit fours and wedding cake but this combo for some reason simply didnt work for me. It was reminiscent of cough syrup which is fine if I'm ill but this simply won't do.

Loved this combo so much. The rooibos natural vanilla-esque sweetness and woodsy sort of notes were such a welcome partner to that almond flavor. This one definitely hit those amaretto notes so well. I didn't add anything to my cup, but the urge was there and not because it needed it. It actually was more than I think this flavor would lend itself to a dessert tea latte type drink in the most amazing ways. Oh well maybe next time around. 212° 5 min

CommuniTEA sample: 5 min @ 212 F. This blend stays very strong across multiple infusions. I like the natural sweetness within it, and almond is very similar to vanilla in aroma, and I think both almond and vanilla pair well with rooibos in bringing out the sweetness of the woody and medicinal aspects of the flavor. That being said, if you don't like rooibos, you won't like this blend. I think it makes an excellent dessert tea, though!

lightly flavored, almond flavoring reminicent of the kind you'd out in a cake and rooiboos flavor, not a strong or rich cup but pleasent with a baked good

Nice almond flavor without the caffeine. Not really good for a second steep though.

Rich and delicious taste. This tea is a sweet and soothing without any sugar. Lovely after dinner cup.

This might be my favorite rooibos. The flavor is simple and classic and I really enjoy it. It's especially good with honey. I've found that I even enjoy it iced and have become kind of obsessed with it on warm evenings when I want a little something sweet after dinner that's non-alcoholic.

Almond's one of my favorite flavors and I love rooibos so this is a solid combination. I think the almond flavor could be a little stronger--it smells stronger than it tastes when brewed, but still good!

This is good but kind of one note. I do like to use it to mix with other teas to make my own blend.

Adding almond to the already sweet and nutty rooibos takes it up another level and makes it that much nicer. I like mixing it with a caramel or cream tea when I want a dessert combo!

It'd be nice if this one included actual almond pieces instead of just almond flavoring, but it's a good cup because rooibos is just so good on its own. Let's just have more almond, please!

I am really loving this nutty blend. Best with a touch of honey to bring out the flavor. Nice very hot, but also iced.

Perhaps my expectations for this tea were too high to begin with. I love the rooibos blend, but the almond flavor, while it comes out in the initial sniff, is lackluster.

I like almond a lot and I like rooibos a lot, so it's no surprise that I like them a lot when they're paired together! Nice with cream.

This tea was really only okay to me. I got a small hint of the almond, but I tasted the rooibos more. If you are a big fan of rooibos then go for it, but I typically like rooibos more when combined with different sweeter flavors.

I couldn't pinpoint what I disliked about this tea but I had a sip and just didn't like it. My husband loved it, he loved the almond flavor and said it was somewhat like an amaretto, I could taste that as well but still didn't like it.

The almond aroma is pleasant as you open the bag. . The tea was light and, not bitter and pleasantly soothing. I did not need to add sugar. It was a relaxing cup of tea.

I think this has the best plan almond flavor of the almond flavor options. It does need longer seeping, but the reward is delicious. Easy to add to other flavors and blends.

Really strange experience. The red rooibos gives off a medicinal smell like Robitussin cough syrup. Once brewed, the predominant flavor in the cup is still very strongly medicinal, with a lingering marzipan note, like someone walked by with some almond extract. Not for me, I think.

★★★★★

I dunno what it is about the scent of almond, but I loooove this tea. For anyone who bakes with almond extract, that is the smell this tea has, and the smell transfers nicely to the tea when steeped.

★★★☆☆

I really expected to like this tea, but it had an extremely strong artificial taste and smell. If it tasted or smelled like fake, I would be willing to revisit it.

★★★★☆

I like this as part of other blends but it's good on its own if you like rooibos.

Have loved this tea for years. Always my go to hot or cold! Mildly sweet with a great vanilla undertone.

I was excited from the moment I opened the bag and smelled this one, and it didn’t disappoint. The smoothness of rooibos and the smoothness of the almond work together to make an excellent cup of tea. To be honest, it was a little weaker than I’m used to my rooibos teas being, but that did not diminish my enjoyment of it. Very good tea overall

Marzipan is my second-favourite candy after chocolate, and I've been trying to cut back on sweets, so I tried this black. While this tea tastes good, it doesn't fill the marzipan-shaped void I was hoping it would. Since rooibos is impossible to oversteep, I just left the teabag in my mug and waited for it to be cool enough to drink.

Oh my goodness! This is like drinking an almond cookie in every cup. In fact, my kids always tease me when they smell the tea, saying, 'Mom's drinking her almond cookies again.' I love it. One of my all time favorite teas.

Ooh! Another hit in the rooibos realm. I put this tea in a thermos along with honeybush hazelnut for myself- and my 7 year old keeps pouring more for herself. :) it’s got a natural sweetness and is super cozy. I don’t need to add honey and it doesn’t get bitter if I just leave the teabags in (which I do often).

The wonderful smell of wood and sweet almond was coming from my packet as I opened it. Once brewed, my cup had strong marzipan flavor with the woody notes from the rooibos in the background. It was smooth, mellow, and really enjoyable.

This is a decent rooibos tea. the almond is pretty subtle, but you can taste hints of it in the background.

I’m kind of surprised at how much I liked this one. In terms of herbals, I prefer honeybush to rooibos, and in terms of nuts, I prefer hazelnut to almonds. But this was absolutely as scrumptious as the honeybush hazelnut which is a favorite. Really lovely!

9/20/2023: UPDATE: this was in the CT box for today and I wanted to give it another try. I brewed it at 180 for 2 minutes but still didn’t care for the almond taste in it. I love red rooibos teas and i think this is the only blend that I don’t care for. That’s just personal taste though, so I hope your experience will be better than mine.

10/29/2022: I like red rooibos teas but this one had too much almond flavoring in it for me. Otherwise, it’s a good tea, so this is just about personal preference.

Delicious, these two flavors work perfectly together for my taste, I also get some do not like rooibos, I understand based on my hatred for hibiscus, so I won’t try to change anyone’s mind, good cuppa sawdust for me!
