I am a honeybush fan and with hazelnut...YUM! I added cream and sugar...it makes a lovely, caffeine free, creamy, nutty cup. All I need is a milk frother! (a shopping I will go)
Mellow, sweet-toasty flavor of Honeybush herb from South Africa with hazelnuts. Creamy, cozy and nutty.

Honeybush isn't usually one of my favorites, but it paired nicely with the hazelnut. This was toasty and warm to sip on.
Love this tea! The hazelnut is not too overpowering.
I tried the blend by itself and with honey and in both cases the Hazelnut was very mild tasting.
A nice herbal cup of tea. Not as earth-shaking as some of Adagios more complex blends, but a pleasant nutty depth in this one. It's not Nutcracker or Honeybush Banana nut, but it's nice in its simplicity
A great caffeine free option with delightful hazelnut flavor. I sampled this Tea as part of the CommuniTEA March box.
Since being a part of Adagio’s communiTea, must admit, I truly love all of their honeybush teas, cozy in my cup, hazelnut included. With that being said, today’s communiTea was exactly what I expected smooth, little woodsy delicious aromatic blend. As I sipped a creamy sweetness along with a very yummy toasty, hazelnut appeared in my cup, and then of course appeared immediately in my cart! Simply a delicious!🌰☕️🫖
I didn't think I would like this tea, since I usually don't like hazelnut. However, the flavor is complex and well rounded enough that I enjoyed it. The nuttiness is balanced by a fruity sweetness from the honeybush.
Nutty, woodsy, and just a touch of sweetness. Hazelnut and honeybush make for a great combination
I know that as CommuniTEA packets go, this was a relatively simple offering, but boy, what an experience it provided anyway! Upon opening my packet, I detected a delightful aroma that was at once nutty and floral. The brewed tea tasted the same way. I really could taste the honey-like flavor from the honeybush - and not just because I added a little honey to play up that sweetness. The hazelnut balanced the sweetness with a rich nutty taste that gave the tea some depth, so even though this is an herbal blend, I felt like I was drinking a more substantial cup of tea. This tea would be enjoyable any time of day really, but since it's caffeine free, it would be a delightful way to end the day.
Honeybush Hazelnut is a simple blend of mild hazelnut flavors and the inherent sweetness of honeybush leaves. Honeybush is rather forgiving and is difficult to oversteep, so I brewed at 212 for 5 minutes. The resulting cup is fittingly dark brown and has a nice nuttiness to it. It's sweet enough to consider it a dessert-like tea, and without the caffeine as well. This is a very straightforward, uncomplicated cup of honeybush tea. I have lso had some moderate success in blending with other honeybush teas and herbals for its hazelnut flavor.
I received this tea as part of the CommuniTEA box. It only provides a single portion, and therefore this is an opinion based on one cup of tea.
Opening the packet reveals a honeybush tea that smells somewhat woody and mostly of the hazelnut flavoring that's added into it. I'll be honest and say that I'm not a huge fan of hazelnut flavor in tea, but I'm willing to try it. I steeped the tea for five minutes with 212 degree F water, creating an amber red clear tea that smells of the hazelnut and honeybush tea. The taste is interesting. The honeybush flavor pairs nicely with the hazelnut tea, and there's almost a natural sweetness to it that pairs nicely with the tea.
Overall, it's an interesting tea. Not one that I would particularly seek out or enjoy, but it's enjoyable enough. Overall, it's a passable tea, and not the worst that I've had.
Hazelnut is such a wonderful flavor! So warm and comforting, it's a prefect late night tea.
What it says on the tin. I'm not wild about fruit + hazelnut, and no rooibos tea is totally devoid of fruit notes, but this is very nice.
Nice, nutty flavor. Great with sweetener and milk.
So thanks to adagio I can now say that I am in the 'I like hazelnuts' camp. Since I also learned that I like honeybush, this tea was a winner!
I find that both rooibos and honeybush have woody flavours but different types of woodiness- (I dislike rooibos), and for some reason honeybush paired with the nuttiness of the hazelnuts just created a lovely combination. This tea delivers a relaxed, easygoing sipping experience, caffeine free and it seems to play well with other teas too! I can see buying a bag of this to add to another tea in order to up the nuttiness quotient!
The honey and hazelnut flavors are perfectly balanced, creating a fantastically sweet and comforting tea.
Delicious! This is a nice tea on its own but spectacular in blends and with a touch of sweetener and cream
Six months ago I would have told you I didn't like rooibos, honeybush, or hazelnut. Today, I stand converted. I actually got excited when I saw the contents of my CommuniTEA packet contained honeybush and hazelnut flavors. The did not disappoint - wonderful nutty, smooth tea with a finishing flavor of honey. So good.
I simply love hazelnut. I know having two hazelnut teas for two consecutive days wasn't popular for some Communitea drinkers, but I loved it! The tea leaves smelled great. I think this one tasted better than yesterday's Communitea though I liked yesterday's as well.
A pleasant caffeine free tea. Not my favorite blend with honeybush but it does have a wonderful aroma. The hazelnut comes across nicely.
This was shockingly good. Honeybush rooibos mostly has a woody hay taste that is nice in undertones but not my main preference. Anyone who love honeybush can comment more on that in their review, but I'm more focused on the hazelnut part. I don't like dessert teas but this is the second Communitea dessert that I didn't turn away from. It was nice and warm with a vague chocolate that I didn't want to add sugar or milk to. It wasn't as rich as I would hope but I couldn't go longer than a 7 minute steep
This is pretty good but I’m not getting much hazelnut flavor. It does smell like hazelnut. I tried it plain and with honey. I’m mainly getting the honeybush sweetness in both cases. I’ve never tried plain honeybush but I would believe this was it. The tea tastes more fruity than nutty if anything. I didn’t realize how naturally sweet honeybush is, it works well in the honeybush banana nut and now that I’ve tasted this tea I can see why.
I am Team Hazelnut all the way! This is a simple comforting brew, perfect for those times you’re trying to avoid caffeine. Honeybush is my preferred caffeine free tea over Rooibos. This was delightful!
Tasting along with the CommuniTEA: The dry ingredients are reminiscent of banana bread. After steeping for 5 mins at 212°F, I notice a nutty, honey scent. When I take a sip, lots of hazelnut, toasted honeybush (reminiscent of acid donut shop coffee), with a long and strong hazelnut finish.
What else can you say about a bunch of honeybush tea in my communiTEA packet? Well ... it also had mild hazelnut and woody-like aromas coming from it!
Steeping was kinda of a no-brainer. I steeped at the recommended 212°F for five minutes.
When hot, mild hazelnut flavors were noted. The honeybush tea supplied mild honey and woody flavors. I added some sugar to intensify honey and hazelnut flavors.
When hot, smooth and moderate sweet honey flavors were noted. Mild woody flavors continued. Hazelnut flavors moderated. The honeybush tea did a splendid job of being a perfect carrier of flavors, as usual.
Alone, this tea was a pleasant and tasty sip, and would make a great addition when used in personal blends. (5 mins @ 212ºF, ⅜ tsp sugar)
This tea is a nice, calm, warm, sunny afternoon in a cup. The Communitea packet smells predominantly like hazelnut. I've never had honeybush before so I didn't really know that until I looked up the tea after brewing.
I steeped this initially for 5 minutes at 212deg as indicated. It wasn't strong enough for me at that point, so I steeped it for two extra minutes and that seemed good. I added a spoon of brown sugar, as per the website recommendation, and that really brought out all the flavor nicely while adding a little sweetness.
I'm not sure honeybush is my thing, but the taste overall is pretty good. It makes me wish I was sitting in a sun patch with a book instead of getting ready to go to work. This is a great option for someone who is looking for a caffeine free tea for either breakfast or later in the day that doesn't taste strongly like 'herbal' tea.
It’s pretty good, nutty and mild. Not bitter or sharp.
Nutty roasted hazelnuts complemented by the woodsy flavor of honeybush makes for a great cup of afternoon tea!
Honeybush tea is not for me. It's just something that I don't enjoy.
Sigh. More hazelnut in the CommunTea packss. This month seems to be hazelnut month.
I loathe hazelnut. No matter what it is mixed with it still tastes like a dirty ashtray smells.
Hazelnut... Again, I’m lured by the aroma of nutty flavor and goodness. I want to taste what I smell. I think that’s why I keep trying when I see either hazelnut or mate in my communiTea packet.
But the promised flavor is never there... while the tea itself is smooth, and easy to drink, nothing more than a weak flavored water in taste. The tea has body, there is a volume to it and if it weren’t for the weak taste, I think it would be very enjoyable to drink.
Thinking I might need to steep longer, I tried two steeps with this, the first was 5 min at 208° and the second was 8 min at 212°. And I just didn’t care for either. I do now I wonder if it’s just hazelnut and if I should try a mate more by itself. But am sure I’ll continue to let hazelnut lure me in hopes of one day working it out.
The warm, sweet honeybush is a perfect partner for hazelnut. They go really well together and this blend is mixed perfectly. Very nutty and smooth.
Nice nutty flavor. I love that it has no caffeine. I enjoy honey bush teas.
What's up hazelnut?; Nothing, 'chillin in a cup; honeybush is too.
Thinking we may call; some creamer to come over; to catch up today. (2 verse haiku review)
This tea smells sweet and amazing in the packet! Upon brewing, hazelnut flavor blends with the sweet woodsy taste of honeybush...lovely cup of tea!
This is a pretty solid tea! The hazelnut isn't too artificial tasting to me - and the honeybush is a mild tea that thankfully doesn't taste too much like rooibos even though it's apparently in the same family. I'm getting a hint of 'cardboard' and I guess that's just the hazelnut flavor that Adagio uses, because I've tasted it before in other teas that contain hazelnut. Not bad though. I wouldn't turn down another cup, though I probably won't be going out of my way to order this one.
I wasn’t expecting to like honeybush hazelnut as much as I did. The flavors go so very well together, and the hazelnut itself is delicious and doesn’t seem artificial.
Another wonderful nut flavored tea by Adagio. The hazelnut is very prominent, and the honeybush adds a sweetness overall. This is great on its own, but absolutely fantastic as a latte with almond milk!
This is my absolute favorite. I make this each morning with a little dairy free hazelnut creamer and it’s perfect.
good flavor, though not as strong of a hazelnut flavor as I was expecting - quite nice with a bit of milk
My all time favorite!! Sweet but not too sweet with a delicious nutty undertone
This was a little too sweet tasting for me, but a nice after dinner tea.
Nice tea, slight hazelnut flavor. Perfect afternoon tea.
This had a great flavor and the hazelnut flavor isn’t too strong.
Oh yes, I love this one. Perfect for an after dinner drink. I will sometimes add a touch of almond milk after steeping for 3 minutes. Delicious.
Lots of flavor and no bitterness to it at all. I love a tea that that says hello I m here. This tea does not disappoint!!!
My first sip and I was sold. I had it as a sample first and immediately put it on my order list. Lovely hazelnut flavor.
I got this as a caffeine free alternative to afternoon coffee latte. I make this with a splash of milk or oat milk and it s great!
Love it! Strong sweet and nutty flavor, I love mixing this one with honeybush vanilla.
