just doesn't have enough chocolate flavor for me
I am trying other sweeteners to see if that helps
The smooth, gently roasted and honeyed aroma of Honeybush from South Africa, infused with dark chocolate flavor.

just doesn't have enough chocolate flavor for me
I am trying other sweeteners to see if that helps
I guess I was expecting a stronger chocolate flavor.
A pleasant chocolate flavor that works hot or cold. Also nice to blend with other teas.
This just may be both my favorite rooibos and my favorite chocolate tea. It smells wonderful and tastes great too, even before adding anything to it.
A decent tea that doesn't have an overpowering chocolate flavor. This was my first honeybush tea but not my first Adagio chocolate tea. I agree the chocolate teas are not overwhelming in flavor nor do I expect them to be. This is very forgiving if you brew it longer than recommended as I did and I felt this brought out the flavor more. I plan on mixing this with some rooibos caramel.
This is a good tasting tea, but I don't think it's really like 'chocolate'. Adagio chocolate flavoring and cocoa nibs remind me a lot of tootsie rolls in smell. Do you really like tootsie rolls? You'll probably like this. The taste is much fainter than tootsie rolls though. Chocolate chip tea is still the best if you want a chocolate flavor.
A new flavor for me, but reminds me of tea time in the bush of southern Africa. Wonderful!
I'm thinking ill like this better the next time I try it, with milk and a bit of sugar. As is, hot, it's almost boring. I mean, it's not bad, but the chocolate flavor doesn't come out very well. It seems very plain
This tea had a candy-like flavor about it. A good blending tea.
Sometimes adagio gets chocolate teas right and sometimes it gets them wrong, this is pretty much right in between. Maybe this would be good blended with something else, but by itself is pretty bland.
i just wasn't a fan of this. It reminded me of an amish store with the smell, but the taste just wasn't to my liking. To each his own though right? ^^
I don't really like chocolate in my tea (got this for blending) so I was surprised when I realized I'd probably drink this even on its own. I use a heaping spoon instead of the normal one recommended on the pouch.
I was expecting a bit more chocolate flavor in this tea, it was ok, lacked flavor so I added some chocolate chip to it and it was much better
I like the honeybush and the chocolate flavor is okay, but it's not quite as rich as I would have hoped.
I have tried two different blends that contain chocolate, and I am just not a fan. It was very artificial tasting.
Don't get a sample. Get a big bag. You're going to need it. Hot, with milk, it tastes just like hot cocoa. Over ice, it makes for a great replacement for mocha. Added bonus: it's super calming.
Dosen't have as much of a chocolately taste as I was hoping for. I like it with the black dragon pearls tea-it adds a nice subtle cocoa undertone to the tea without overpowering it
Absolutely amazing if you blend it with something fruity.
Best way I can describe this is it's very similar to the rooibos cocomint, but without the piney sharper flavors of both the mint and rooibos. It's mellow, smooth and dark. The cocoa nibs blend well with the honeybush, adding to its already nutty qualities. I found it to be pleasantly soothing and without the astringent feel I sometimes find rooibos has. Definitely getting this one again.
I was disappointed in this one. The honeybush and the chocolate just don't work together well for me. If you want a chocolate tea, I'd say stick with the valentines or tiger eye. Neither are decaf (which is why I bought this one: A quest for a decaf chocolate craving fix), but this one's just...eh.
I was extremely surprised to find this tea to be rather the opposite of all that i have read so far. This smelled very much like cough medicine and gym socks straight out of the bag. It did not taste quite as bad as all that, however the flavor it did have was a mix of reeds and tootsie rolls, and left a definite robitussin after taste. I would not purchase this again.
I think that the chocolate flavor in this one is quiet, but definately there. The first sip I took, I thought 'This isn't very chocolaty...oh wait there it is.' It's a really nice tea for late afternoon/early evening.
This was my first honeybush tea and now I'm a total convert- I can't wait to try more! This honeybush chocolate is definitely a keeper
I gave this tea as a gift during Christmas, and my friend seemed to enjoy it. however, I am less than impressed. The smell of chocolate is strong, however the overall strength of the tea is lackluster. Then again, I do prefer my teas to be strong.
The description might be a little misleading. The chocolate isn't out there for everyone to see, it's not the same as cheap hot chocolate. It's very subtle.
I have to be honest and admit I don't like honeybush by itself, but I do generally like the blends that Adagio offers. Honeybush Vanilla is my favorite, but Honeybush Chocolate is a strong second - it works well on its own, but also in blends with other teas. I like to combine it with Adagio's cream tea, especially.
I shared this tea in my office for a 'tea party'. Everyone loved the aroma of the tea before steeping. The flavor was okay but there are other teas with a chocolate hint that I enjoy a little more.
It's not very strong at all, so I'm a bit sad about that, but I suppose that could be a good thing for some people. You just have to brew it for a while for the flavor to come out, and add sugar.
Absolutely awesome taste!! Very much chocolate flavored, YUMMY.. Thanks for such a wonderful cup of tea.
Pretty good. Not as much body as I expected to have, but I may just need to add more than the recommended amount of tea. Still an enjoyable flavor, albeit a little light.
Exactly what you'd expect. Smooth and chocolatey, great after dinner.
The chocolate flavor is relatively mild so the honeybush still comes through. This makes the infusion not quite a 'dessert' drink, which I'm happy about, since candy flavors can get cloying and lose their novelty quickly.
I enjoy this tea. It has a nice relaxing, simple feel to it.
It's simple but it hits the spot. There's definite chocolate flavor, but it's light and not bitter. I have this 'black'. I didn't find that it needed anything to bring out the flavor. I will get this again!
I enjoyed this tea much better after it had settled and been rewarmed but definitely not an herbal tea fan.
This tea is good, but for some reason it doesn't strike me as the perfect flavor blend/balance. Like the rooibos almond, it is really nice to add to other teas to get a little bit of chocolate flavor.
I love chocolate! This tea is a great dessert choice.
If you're expecting a cup of hot chocolate, you'll be disappointed, but for someone who enjoys honeybush with a subtle cocoa flavor, this tea will be delicious.
Wonderful chocolatey flavor without the caffeine. Whoever came up with this is a genius.
I had this on my trip to the Smokies. With a little soy creamer, it was a perfect alternative for hot chocolate! This tea is just yummy!
This tea is awesome! It's a big hit with my friend group, they all love this chocolate Tea!
I am a hardcore black tea fanatic, but this stuff is awesome. It has all the rich full body of a black tea but is smoother and lacks the bitterness that blacks can sometimes have.
This was a really tasty tea. I gave it a point off because it didn't taste very chocolatey at all - I'm not sure how to describe the flavor, but I liked it.
Thistea is simply amazing! I had it by itself and was quite pleased with the taste.
With some cream, this almost qualifies as hot chocolate in my book!
Light as all honeybush have been, but the chocolate itself is interestingly dark.
I enjoyed this tea a lot. I found the taste similar to that of the honeybush vanilla, which i love. There is a chocolate taste in it, so it was different than the vanilla. This is a great herbal tea to drink.
Maybe I got a bad batch. This was awful. The chocolate tasted chemically, if that makes sense. I've had this once before and it was fine but this last batch was horrible.
I brew this one EXTRA strong (like 2-3 tablespoons/cup), to make a delicious substitute for hot chocolate. It's got that strong chocolate flavor I'm looking for, without the bitterness that the chocolate black teas can have. Works great with milk and sugar, but is fine on its own too.
What a great flavor this tea has! It's not overwhelmingly chocolatey, but still sweet enough that I will have it as a companion with a brownie or something sweet.
