I really, really love the honeybush hazelnut tea, so I was looking forward to the chocolate version. It's good, but I don't super love it. It's a lovely change of pace, though, and I'm glad I got it.

Great after dinner tea! One of our favorites this time of year. I add a bit of honey.
Smells great in the bag, really chocolate-y and sweet. I brewed it for five or ten minutes though and the result was more aroma than taste. Still good, though not nearly as flavorful as the smell of the dry tea promised. I have a rooibos blend that you can basically brew forever, so this one might just need more time to steep.
I prefer the black Chocolate Chip blend for stronger chocolate flavor, but if you want something lighter, this one is great.
I ordered this for my 8 year old son and he was not impressed at all. It really had no flavor at all to it.

This is a really good tea. I wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised!! Tastes just like chocolate. Add some honey or sugar and you've got dessert in a teacup. Very nice!!

I was never a fan of honeybush but this one changed my mind. As soon as you open your tin, the smell tells you that you are in for a treat. I like mine with sugar and cream.
I've become very fond of the non-fruit honeybush varietals. I like to have a lot of choices of caffeine-free teas, and this is one that is flavorful (I find some herb teas 'thin' in flavor). It's similar in taste to the honeybush hazelnuts, which is one of my favorites.

I'm glad I tried this tea. At first I wasn't sure about how the chocolate flavor would work, but this tea is nothing short of AMAZING! It's rich yet mellow, very flavorful and warming. I will always have this in my cupboard.
This is now a go to for a craving crusher and a sweet treat. Cannot complain about this one. Can add a lil oj to this when iced and it makes a nice alternative to chocolate covered orange slices.

I've been looking for a chocolate tea that doesn't need sweetener or milk in order to have a proper chocolate taste. I suspect this is the closest I'll ever get (but of course that won't stop me from continuing to search). Even without anything added, the chocolate taste is definitely there, but to me it tastes like a very weak and cheap sort of chocolate.
It's not a bad tea, just a little disappointing. Still, it has the potential to be excellent in blends - anything that might give it a bit more depth without completely drowning out the chocolate flavor.

This is an unusual flavor. I use it for iced tea. The chocolate flavor comes more in the aftertaste than the taste. It's not sweet tasting, but still that distinctive chocolate flavor is definitely there. It's a great afternoon drink when you want a little something-something that is satisfying and refreshing and has enough taste to feel like you've really had something.
This tea is pretty good, but I almost wish it had more of a chocolate flavor in it. A little bit of sugar helps to bring out the flavor a bit more. I think next time I'll just add some chocolate chips while it's brewing. I love the taste of the honeybush combined with chocolate.
Wow, with some warm milk, this tastes almost just like hot chocolate to me. I've had other chocolate-flavored teas, but the fact that this is naturally caffeine free makes it a no-brainer dessert drink.
Absolutely love this, especially as a dessert. I noticed other reviewers' disappointment about it not being chocolatey enough, which may be worth noting if you're expecting a strong chocolate flavor. But as a person who isn't typically crazy about chocolate, I think it is perfect.

At first, it was...strange, but okay. The aftertaste was better than the initial flavor, but as it cooled off, it got strangely floral, and I didn't care for it at all.

This is a pleasant and not overly sweet tea. The smell is wonderful...smells like hot chocolate. One of those teas that is nice to hold the cup in your hand to feel the warmth and smell the yummy goodness! Would definitely recommend you try it.

For me, honeybush tastes like a full caffeinated pekoe to begin with. Add some cocoa in the background and you have this full bodied brew. I agree with others that I would add peppermint or spices to liven in up. Overall, good tea, but I prefer honeybush's cousin rooibos better.
My boyfriend tasted it and thought it tasted like a 'snooty hot cocoa.' I like it, it's not as rich as cocoa but still nice to drink on a snowy day.
Absolutely fantastic! For me, it was almost like drinking a less rich, less nauseating hot chocolate, with a bit of herb-ness tacked on. Very full taste to it, I'll definitely be snagging a 3 oz as soon as I can.
