Nice chocolate flavor and a fair amount of body. I especially like it with a some milk added.
The smooth, gently roasted and honeyed aroma of Honeybush from South Africa, infused with dark chocolate flavor.

Nice chocolate flavor and a fair amount of body. I especially like it with a some milk added.
I love the chocolatey flavor of Honeybush Chocolate, but it is a fairly dense flavoring, so I always mix it with Honeybush to cut down on some of the overly strong chocolate flavor.
This was my first time getting a straight-up honeybush tea. It had a great amount of red tea and chocolate flavor that you could probably put it together in any sort of way. whether plain, with some kind of creamer or some kind of sweetener.
Mix it with the hazelnut. Mix it.. with the hazelnut. MIX IT WITH THE HAZELNUT. If you re fond of a certain chocolatey, hazelnutty spread, you will absolutely die of ecstasy. I used half a teaspoon of honeybush chocolate and half a teaspoon of its natural companion, the honeybush hazelnut. 50/50. I don t think I can live without having these two teas or a blend of them on hand now!!
The initial chocolatey flavor is good, though I would say it doesn't meld as well with the Honeybush as it does with, say, Green. There's a peculiar aftertaste from the flavoring, though.
Blech, I couldn't finish this. That 'chocolate' flavor is just too medicinal, it hits you right in the face when you open the bag. For me, it is just too strong leaning toward fake.
I find most of the flavor to be in the smell of the cup - the taste itself is very mild and inoffensive.
Terrific flavor. Great substitute to coffee. It does not need much sweetener. I tend to add a bit to all my teas.
really like this tea. Has a nice chocolate flavor but no caffeine which is great for someone who can't have caffeine but misses the taste of chocolate
Doesn't really taste like chocolate, unless you compare to the smell of a tootsie roll.
I enjoy tea so much. The flavor is smooth and I can drink this all day! Honeybush tea has so many health benefits too.
One of my favorites. Very similar to rooibos in flavor but naturally sweeter so I can drink it without adding honey.
I like this tea with a bit of cream and honey. The chocolate is subtle, but the honey and milk brings out the flavor.
When the site listed the taste of this tea as something akin to chocolate liquor, I jumped on the chance to try this out, because I have yet to find a chocolate tea that I really like. I'm going to have to keep looking, because this is not the one. It's okay, but I was expecting a much stronger chocolate flavor. Next time I brew it, I may have to add more chocolate chips to it to see if that does the trick, but at the moment, I won't be ordering this one again.
the best part of roiboos flavor and chocolate mix in a cup perfect very hot in milk
Excellent and chocolatey. I have a good friend who loathes flavored tea and she will drink this!
Honeybush Chocolate is a fun, light tea. I enjoy mixing it with Chocolate Chai and other high-caffeine teas to cut the amount of caffeine.
Chocolate is a wonderful thing. This chocolate, mixed with the Honeybush tea, what a lovely mix. I will buy this again and again.
Perfect for after-dinner dessert. Light and sweet!
This tea has a good chocolate tone, but it is not strong enough for me. It s still good and I enjoy a warm cup of it, but I m not sure I would purchase it again.
I got this as a sample. I liked it a lot. There is a natural chocolate flavor. I feel using sugar in this one does over power it. I prefer it without sufar, as it is naturally sweet on its own. Could maybe stand up to a splash of milk, if desired. I use more than the bag suggests and am still playing with the steeping time a bit. I think it tastes better when stronger, as it seems weak with only 7 minutes steep time.
So yummy! Warm notes of chocolate and a slight honey sweetness. This will be in my regular rotation
Perfect after dinner sweet treat! I can’t get enough of this tea. Fights sugar cravings like no body’s business
This was way better than I expected! It's the perfect mix of tea and hot chocolate... which may sound odd, but I personally loved it. If you like hot chocolate but don't necessarily want the calories or sugar that come with it, this would be a great alternative!
This tea feels indulgent but without the guilt. I enjoy having it in the evenings in lieu of dinner.
This tea is both tasty and caffeine free, so it's perfect for a nice evening in.
Strong chocolate flavor but not overwhelmingly sweet. Tasty as a black tea, would probably be phenomenal with cream/sugar.
I haven t had any kind of Honeybush before, so I didn t really know what to expect. It s not too strong flavour wise, other than the chocolate, which is surprising because it smells super strong. I like to steep for a minute longer for more of that bark flavour and I prefer it with sugar.
It's not really the most memorable chocolate tea I've had but it's still lovely in its own right. I tend to reach for the Mocha Nut Mate before this one because it just as a nicer, more complex flavor. But if I want chocolate without the caffeine, this one is more than adequate.
I bought this with my boyfriend's sweet tooth in mind, and it did not disappoint!
It's a nice evening tea, but I feel like it has to steep for a lot longer than the package recommends to get the full flavor.
I have never been very impressed by teas made with honeybush. They have all tasted uninteresting and rather bland. This one was no exception.
I appreciate how honeybush forgives me constantly forgetting it brewing on my counter and never gets bitter. It's a little sweet and mellow on its own, but if you add sugar, it'll taste like a fancy chocolate (1tsp or a little less sugar per 12oz cup is my preference). I've never had it with a creamer, so I'll have to try it next time I pickup some half & half and update this then.
It s hard to taste the chocolate in this one, but not terrible
OMG!! I cannot say enough good about this tea. I ordered this hesitantly, hoping it would not be like the other chocolate teas i've had which tasted bitter, not chocolatey at all, or just plain fake. This tea is such a pleasure, It is very delicate, light, milk chocolatey, rich, warm and inviting. Be forewarned, you will make another cup immediately after the first is finished-it is just that good! The honey bush is amazingly naturally sweet so I do cut back on the sugar with this one by about 1/2 ( so for me, I use only 1 small teaspoon!) And, I do use a splash of milk as well. If you like hot chocolate, this is a great no-caff alternative. Do not hesitate, this is the real thing!
The chocolatey taste is much better than I anticipated. It goes well with the honeybush flavor. I blend this with toasted mate for a morning treat.
I buy this for my mom as I am not a fan of the roooibos teas. She loves it as she can't have caffeine and drinks it regularly.
I enjoyed this tea. Although the honey bush is caffeine free the chocolate is not. The chocolate flavors are full.
With just a hint of chocolate, this tea has a warm, smooth flavor.
Nice smooth flavor. Maybe it's me, but I've yet to find a chocolate tea I really like.
I love this tea with milk as a treat when I don't want caffeine.
I had high expectations for this honeybush tea, after having enjoyed the plain honeybush so much. But this was just ok. I was disappointed with the weakness of chocolate flavor and felt that the plain Honeybush had more flavor than this tea. I enjoy my teas with sweetener. I will say, that this one can tolerate a splash of soymilk as well. It's nice but nothing special.
This tea was ok, but I wasn't a huge fan. It didn't really taste like chocolate and the honeybush had a woody taste.
I thought I would like this as I love honeybush hazelnut.
I really enjoyed this tea, but found the chocolate to be more of a light after-taste than a main component of the tea. I could use a little more chocolate flavor, but it is still delicious and a nice after-dinner treat!
I love mixing this tea with rooibos carmel and then have just a small bite of a chocolate snack. Delicious.
I'm a fan of chocolate-flavoured tea but not always in the mood for black chocolate tea. This is a nice middle ground. Has a subtle, oaky kind of taste that adds to the chocolate. Super delicious.
There's not much chocolate flavor, but its still a good tea. I think brewing it longer or at a higher temperature might bring out the chocolate flavor better.
okay, this is my first honeybush tea and it's absolutely amazing. the smell is a heavenly sweet chocolate aroma and the flavor after steeping tastes just about the same. I added a little stevia and it really kicks your sweet cravings. Perfect for late night treats.
I like this tea. I haven't decided if I love it. This is my first try of the honeybush, and like I said I like it, I will have to have a few more cups first.
