It smells just like banana bread when you open the packet. It also tastes just like my sister’s banana bread, and no calories!
CommuniTEA sample: 5 min @ 212 F. Second cup for 10 min @ 212 F. I really like the aroma of the dry leaves. It's a beautiful, red, honeybush liquor, the appearance and body are comparable to black tea, I feel like the flavor profile would work great with black tea, and I can see it working well with honeybush as well! The problem is the aroma. In my first cup, there was a strong, alcoholic smelling aroma that I didn't care for, reminded me of bourbon, and it didn't fit well with the flavor. The flavor is actually pretty tasty, it's got notes of chestnut, cinnamon, and maybe some hints of something fruity like banana, but it's very roasted, very warm, it does remind me of a freshly baked muffin without being too sweet. My second cup, the smell wasn't as strong, but it's still there a little bit. Other than that, it's a pretty good tea!
Wow, this tea smells and tastes just like banana bread! I can taste banana, cinnamon and some kind of nut. The combination is delicious! If you're a fan of bananas, you're going to love this.
how this tastes exactly like a fresh slice of buttery banana bread, I'll never comprehend... but it does. A spoon of adagio raw honey for rooibos teas & you have an exquisite dessert tea, great to top off any day!

LOVE IT!! this has become a favorite treat of mine!! i drink it plain (no sugar or creams) and it tastes just like banana bread, which i'm still happily surprised by! i usually throw it into a large tea bag and just let it sit in the cup while I drink, can't be oversteeped. it's good for at least one resteep too.

This tea was kind of disappointing. It smells vaguely banana nut muffiny in the bag, but the flavor is kind of non-existent even when using a larger amount of tea or steeping for a longer period. It's not like it's gross. it just tastes like nothing.
love. i do wish the banana was dried fruit or something other than flavoring because it becomes too apple-y after the first brew.

I was disappointed the small size was out of stock and was considering not getting the tea at all because of that, but my gosh it's a blessing I had no choice but to buy the big size, I'm gonna need it! I feared it would have a strong artificial banana taste but not at all! It's delicious, nutty, and the taste reminds me of a mix between French toast and a banana nut muffin (but without the syrup)! Tastes just like you walked into a bakery. Definitely one of the best teas I've had. I put heavy whipping cream, milk, and a tablespoon of sugar in mine to make it super sweet! Delicious.

The scent of the dry tea reminds me of granola. The predominant flavor was banana. It's not that I hated it, but as I sipped I kept asking myself why I wasn't jiving with this. I finally decided I don't want to drink hot banana. I stirred in some hot cocoa and then I liked it.

Delicious! I'm a newbie to tea and I've been trying several samples to see what I like, and I love this. As someone who has been drinking coffee without sweetener for decades, I feel this one isn't overly sweet. It truly is very reminiscent of a banana muffin. I did steep it differently than the packaged advised and I'm very pleased with how it turned out. It never became bitter or astringent for me. I especially like that it is caffeine free and tastes like pastry, because I am a diabetic who is trying to find an evening tea that can satisfy my evening craving for sweets. This one has done so perfectly! Also the scent is wonderful.
