First discovered this tea in one of the advent calendars. I fell in love right away. It tastes just like banana nut bread. Nothing needs to be added to this tea.

I think I accidentally left a partial review in the chat column…anyway, this honeybush is my all time favorite. It has such a wonderful banana nut bread aroma that it brings back many pleasant memories of growing up. So, with that said, this tea has been my all time favorite. It is also the very first Adagio tea I sampled 2 years ago from my friend, Dorothy Berry, an Adagio aficionado. It’s one of the few teas to which I never feel a need to add honey or sugar …it has so many flavors of its own. It doesn’t need a sweetener . Love this tea!

My tea taster says this one is a winner. Actually, I had banana bread to go along with it, which made a perfect duo.

This is a delicious blend of dessert-ish voodoo! What’s not to love? As others have said, it is essentially liquid banana bread. Add some sweetener and swoon away over this delicious caffeine free treat! Happy Sipping!

Wow!! This is delicious!!! It should be named banana split, because it is so good it's gone in seconds!! This tea is not second banana to any of the other flavored teas I have tried so far. I feel a little nutty that I am going bananas for this tea, I find it very ap-peeling! If you had 6 stars I would give them to this tea. ;)

This tea is very true flavor to the name. I enjoyed the flavor of this cup. I added sugar at first and that really helped bring out some more flavor and then I added cream . I think I prefer it without the cream however. For me to fully enjoy this tea I need to double the strength I believe. I used 12 oz of water to 3.85 grams. I think 5 grams would have made for a more enjoyable flavor. Unfortunately I do have a sample of this but it's at home not at work. I didn't think to wait to drink this one but now I know for when I open my sample.

Avoiding caffeine?
Maybe counting calories?
this tea is your treat!
Or
Mamas been baking
I can smell it in the air!
Mmm banana bread!

Tracking down the scent
That heavenly aroma
To the living room?

Mom's there, drinking tea
No where can I find the bread
I guess she ate it...

This tea smells delicious and has a mild banana bread taste. I enjoy it, but don't love it as much as I expected to. I know I'm in the minority here, but it's too mild, and has too much of an apple undertone for me. I keep wanting to add a deeper bass note (like a smoky black tea base maybe) or more spices to make it more satisfying. That being said, I don't like sweet teas. If you like fruity teas, I think you would like this one. Most people seem to love it.

I’m glad I tried this one again. I wasn’t that impressed the first time I tried it, but this time I rather liked it. I was pleasantly surprised that it tastes like banana nut. Yum.

Updated from 2/20/21 Wow the strong aroma of banana and nuts wafts up from the bag as I open it. YUMMY! My mouth starts to water as the tea steeps into a rusty amber color. There is no aroma but the taste is a true dessert of very ripe banana, light cinnamon, and nutty chestnut. The honeybush provides a pleasing woodiness to the body of the tea, helping create a great balance with the flavors. As soon as I add 1 teaspoon of honey (to 10 oz) and some heavy whipping cream this tea suddenly tastes like a delicious banana nut bread, warm and right out of the oven! YUMMY, yummy, yummy! A “go to” tea anytime because it is caffeine free. This is so good I now own a larger bag of it.

Has a cloying artificial taste that made my cup difficult to enjoy.

★★★★★

I love banana flavored just about everything. Bread, bananas, snowcones. I can now add tea to that list; sweet, full-bodied, and tea-y enough that it doesn't feel awkward to drink something so influenced by bread.

★★★★★

Exactly as described - smells like banana nut bread. So much that my coworkers can smell it. Feels like a treat. I've never added sugar - it's delicious on its own. Perfect on a cold snowy afternoon.

★★★★★

This is one of the most fabulous flavors. It's sweet on its own, but I add two drops of liquid stevia to my cup to give it just a little more. It tastes just like a warm freshly baked loaf and it's almost like having dessert; without eating a thing!

This is a very good tea. When I first opened up the little sample and smelled it, it smelled like banana nut bread. Happy to say the taste is even better then the smell.

If I see this tea in a blend, I'm already excited. This is one of my favorite blends, and is definitely my favorite in the honeybush category. It tastes like banana nut bread in a cup, and the sweetness coupled with the caffeine free element means this dessert tea can be enjoyed any time of the day. It works especially well with honeybush chocolate!

It smells lightly of banana, but not in a cheap, candy-ish sort of way. And the first mouthful is very breadlike. The only thing that docks points from this tea is that there is no pleasantly lingering aftertaste to enjoy. @adagioteas

★★★★★

I’m obsessed with this tea. Aroma smells just like banana bread, but flavor has a nice lingering honey aftertaste. Not overly sweet at all. Great with a little milk!

This blend is so good, The only downside aka why it didn't get a 5/5 is because I seriously wish there was a caffeinated version. Although I love the honeybush, I think that a black tea base could've carried the banana flavor a bit better.

Wow. This does, in fact, taste exactly like fresh-baked banana nut bread straight out of the oven.

Add some Yerba Mate and this is a great pick me up for a school teacher that is also diabetic and can not eat said banana nut bread, which this tastes well enough like. More so when a dose of fiery cinnamon is added as well.
