Nice coconut and pineapple flavor; I'm not crazy about it. It's just slightly off somehow... It has a nice aroma and all, but I just don't think it sits quite right. it needs *something*, I just don't know what
Our Green Rooibos Paradiso is an island escape in the palm of your hand. We have added rose petals to pineapple and coconut for a new twist on a classic combination.

Coconut saves everything. Equal part Coconut and green rooibos. This is a tea that I will not get a sample size of but will drink the full cup of on the Communitea.
This was such a delicious night time sipper. Fruity flavors of pineapple and coconut made this a tropical dessert before bed.
The scent from the packet was a bit startling at first; it's similar to strong sunscreen. The flavor is really pleasant. I ended up adding a dash of milk after drinking around half of the cup, and the result is something akin to pina colada.
Overall this is a decent tea. I liked the aroma and the taste. I drank this tea hot.
Delicious coconuty drink. Let this seep for a few hours from hot to room temp, perfect full flavor. Light pineapple and very little rose taste.
Excellent Decaf tropical flavored tea. Definitely recommend.
The green rooibos is a really nice backdrop for this tropical blend. Coconut and pineapple seem to be the predominant flavors in my cup, both equally strong and delivering on the island vibes.
This was nice as an iced tea but I prefer the combination without the rose petals.
Communitea Review: I don’t normally care for Rooibos at all but this one was pleasant. There was enough tropical flavor to outweigh the taste I dislike. I would drink it again.
I enjoyed today’s tea the pineapple flavor the rose petals I tried it cold and I liked it cold this is another tea that I will be adding to my list all the right flavors on this cool summer day
Today’s tea has a nice tropical flair. The coconut was the predominant flavor. Not overpowering though
Nice sweetness without being overpowering. Enjoying the cup.
Nice tropical tea. Pineapple and coconut taste The aroma is lovely. I wish the taste was stronger. I drank this tea warm with a little honey.
This tea is probably good for someone who likes floral and fruity teas. I found it to taste overwhelmingly of rose, but this is CommuniTEA and portions are not always a representative sample.
Paradise in a teacup! I could taste all of the ingredients and they work well together. It was actually a little too sweet for my personal taste, but I would still drink it on occasion. If you like no-caffeine, sweet and fruity, this is a great choice.
A lovely herbal tropical sipper. Great hot, curious how it is iced!
In the bag: Aside from the finely chopped rooibos, we have a few large rose petals and three shriveled apple pieces.
On the nose (pre-steep): Pineapple, coconut, and rose are here, but are so well-blended that I have to focus to pick them out. There's also a background aroma of faint, musty hay.
On the nose (post-steep): Pineapple has come to the front. The rose and hay remain, but as hints. No sugar.
On the tongue (pre-sweetener): Rose and coconut lead the way. The hay from the rooibos supports from the background. A faint undertone of sugar, especially in the aftertaste.
On the tongue (post-sweetener): No change in overall profile.
Opinion: A tasty and layered tea. The tropical and floral notes complement each other but do not overwhelm. The rooibos provides structure while remaining in the background. The hay flavor provides a slight savory contrast that I enjoyed.
Preparation: First steep 5 min, second steep 10 min. Both @ 212 ℉. ½ teaspoon monk fruit sweetener.
So yummy! Coconut and pineapple seemed to be at the forefront. Such a nice iced tea that I’d love to have often. It’s also quite pretty aesthetically.
Love green rooibos tea, but wasn't crazy about this one. I think there was an over abundance of rose petals in my packet that dulled the coconut and pineapple flavors. I switched to iced tea, and it was a bit on the weak side. I did not taste the hibiscus, thank you, however the rooibos left a dry after taste in my mouth.
5 mins @ 212*F
Two portions, 5 oz each, one now while hot, one later once cold. Sweetener in both after initial taste. Coconut cream in hot version.
Hot:
I can taste the rose - but much less than I thought I would and it isn't perfumy at all. I'm enjoying this more than I anticipated. Not much to say about the pineapple and coconut, they are there, they taste like pineapple and coconut tend to do - tropical. I enjoy tropical flavors (except papaya), so this tea is going down quite smoothly. The green rooibos is playing nicely with all the ingredients making it a nice base for this combo. Quite a lovely sip. I hope the rose doesn't turn perfumy once cold.
Cold:
Well, unfortunately, the rose is definitely more noticeable in this portion. So, I added more coconut crème since that helped while hot, and added a pinch of cardemom, to try to mask the rose. Thankfully, that helped. I'll be able to drink this, but I prefered it hot.
It's a meh tea. Very fruity flavor. Good for summer.
So tropical! Love this cold or hot and it doesn't even need sweetener to be enjoyed. Cold at double strength with ginger ale is tasty too.
Seriously love this tea. Great hot, great cold, great added to our green to to give it a little flavor. This is a perfect summer tea.
Really enjoyed this tea! Loved the fruity flavors coming out. I added a little honey and it helped bring out even more of the fruit flavors! I really enjoyed this at bed time.
Wasn’t sure what to expect with this one but it’s unique and refreshing! Tropical vibes in a mellow, caffeine free cup
Really fantastic and satisfying blend. The earthiness of the roiboos helps to bring all the tropical tones to the front, especially the pineapple, which gives a lovely fullness to it. Tart, but not overly so, and naturally sweet and juicy tasting. Added some blue agave and it helped to enhance that even more.
The tropical flavors don’t overpower this brew and the rose is subtle as well, creating a nice and relaxing balanced blend.
Not quite as strong as I like so I add abit more tea per cup and then it's perfect! Flavor is amazingly refreshing and just tasty. So love this one
This is one of my top ten favorite teas of all time! It’s equally amazing iced and hot, and the faint hints of coconut really make this tea unique!
What a delightful blend! And if you're feeling adventurous, instead of Mimosas, surprise your guests with this tea chilled and a splash of Coconut Rum. Yum!
Very flavorful! I added 1/2 fresh squeezed lemon and a little honey to a hot cup. Nice pieces of hibiscus, apple and pineapple pieces and rose petals.
It is THE herbal tea here with pieces of coconut. That is all that is required.
Pleasantly tropical--earthier than a typical rooibos tea, but light and delectably 'fruity' like a white tea. My first steep actually tasted 'salty,' but this note vanished with the second steep. It's a great summertime drink and probably tastes delightful chilled (up to now, I've only tried it hot). If you enjoy tropical accents, give it a taste!
I don’t love rooibos, so the green roiboos was a bit of improvement for me. It doesn’t have as much aftertaste as regular rooibos. But also, this tea smells like potpourri. It feels like autumn.
The green rooibos is too weak of a base to support the added flavors, so to me it just tastes like an overwhelming fragrance heavy tea with nothing else.
Wow, I'm pleasantly surprised! I'm not a big rooibos fan, but dang this one was good. Subtle tropical flavors which pair great with a brightness of green rooibos. Will definitely be ordering this one in the future for when I need a caffeine free tea. I imagine it's like what a breeze on a Hawaiian island tastes like.
The pineapple and coconut flavors are more prominent, here, which is nice!
Received in my June CommuniTea box. My envelope was heavy on apple. I noted some coconut, but it was 90% apple which was too heavy for my tastes. I did like it well enough as a green tea though as the health benefits of the antioxidants have been proven. It just would not be my first choice in its present form. I thought that I might try it in a larger sample later to see if I get a better mix of ingredients where I can taste more of the pineapple & other goodies listed, but in the packet I received it’s simply an okay tea for me bc mine tasted more like an apple cider than even a tea, but the coconut hint was enough to make me wanna mix some tea of my own in the future. The coconut itself was a hit. There just was not enough for the overpowering apple for me. I like apples, but this was more like a straight up herbal tisane to me than a green tea due to the overpowering apple. There was nothing smooth or mellow in my cup. It was very bold, pungent, & in my face which I was truly not expecting for a green tea. Lol. Brewed exactly per the instructions (@ 5k elevation in Colorado & temperature adjusted for the elevation which is a 10 degree difference where I live & for my electric kettle that I use to heat my water to brew my tea in my cups &/or teapots).
Today's CommuniTea packet was green rooibos paradiso, made with green rooibos tea, apple, coconut, pineapple, rose petals, coconut and pineapple flavors, and hibiscus. Cold brewed, it was light and refreshing. I'm not a 'tropical drink' aficionado, but I found this pleasant. If you love your piña coladas, this might be your tea of choice, maybe with an extra shot of pineapple juice. Or hey, maybe even a shot of rum. :-) Cold brewed in 12 ounces of water in the refrigerator for about 10 hours.
This reminds me of a tropical beach with strong coconut and pineapple flavors swirling around. I enjoyed with a couple drops of agave. 🌴
Lovely coconut and pineapple aroma when I opened the package. I had 3 g so steeped 12 oz for 5 minutes. I could taste the coconut first with just a hint of pineapple behind it. I might have liked a bit more pineapple flavor so I’m steeping a couple more minutes to see if that helps pull it out.
A nice tea on the pallet to end the day.
UPDATED from 6/1/21: There is the aroma of coconut and green rooibos coming from the CommuniTEA packet. It steeps into a luscious tropical tea. I add ¼ teaspoon of sweetener (to 10 oz) and it makes the coconut flavor bolder. The pineapple flavor remains mild and in the background. Drinking this is like having a cup full of sunshine and sand. If you can’t take a trip to paradise, then just brew some of this. I suspect it will make a great ice tea. No caffeine makes this a keeper, even if you can only steep it once. (5 mins @ 212ºF).
Perfect tropical iced tea for the summer weather. After the first sip I could taste the delicious deep soft coconut and pineapple flavors..
Wow, a delicious Rooibos tea! The dried tea in my CommuniTea packet smelled of tropical fruit. I cold brewed this to turn into Iced Tea and it was great. Strong flavors of pineapple and coconut came through in the tea to make it a tropical treat🍍 🥥
I knew this was going to be a sweet one when I opened the packet to a huge coconut flake. Very bold coconut and pineapple, while still being light and refreshing
Mild tropical blend. Wanted more flavor. Great aroma. Good chilled with a little honey.
A strangely funky flavor presents first on this sip, but fades quickly to creamy coconut and sugary green rooibos flavor. I love pineapple and coconut, but something was really off for me in this blend. I shared this tea with my parents, both of whom thought it was excellent and didn't get the same funky flavor I did.
This was a very nice summery pina colada-ish blend. I modified it a little by removing any large rose petals and added a little sugar. I enjoyed this one hot, but I am going to get some more and try it iced because I think it would be even better!
6/1/2022 - update, still very tropical. My first sip makes me wonder if there is way too many flavors for me to continue and then they somehow resolve themselves and I can enjoy the tropical. I still get peach like a did before which I find strange for the tropics, but good.
6/1/2021 - I am reviewing from a communiTea packet. This is a nice fruity tropical blend with some gentle creamy coconut. I do get a flavor like peaches coming out, but I enjoyed this overall.
