Greeted with a big wave of citrus aroma when the packet was opened. A smooth delicate citrus taste. The flavors came through better as it cooled. Might be excellent as an iced tea.

Sweet orange flavor enhanced by lemon, no sweetener needed. This caffeine-free blend would make an excellent cup to wind down with at bedtime.

Opened my CommuniTEA pouch this morning and I was immediately punched in the snout with the scent of citrus, particularly lemon. A very pleasant scent, I was excited to give this a go.

Alas, it was not to be. After brewing, the strong citrus smells had faded into a misty backdrop at most. An earthy, iron-rich scent I can only assume is the rooibos dominated the conversation thereafter. There is a hint of fruity spice in the aftertaste particularly that would come off refreshing following the initial earthiness, but fruity spice is not for me. This one was just not for me.

2 Stars – Won’t purchase; will only drink when offered if turning it down feels rude.

(Disclaimer – I am an uncultured tea drinker in the infancy of my tea journey, so my palate is very undeveloped. This review will likely be of service to other novice tea drinkers only.)

For some reason this tea was one of the very few that I didn’t post a communiTEA review for last year. There was plenty of green rooibos tea and marigold flowers noted in my packet. However, a light yellow colored mango piece was the only other fruit to be seen. Mild citrus aromas were noted.

I had 3.44 grams of ingredients, enough for a 13.5 ounce steep. I know this is unusual for me, but I steeped at what Adagio recommended, five minutes at 212°F.

When hot, I was presented with an orange colored liquid in my mug. Mild dry hay flavors were noted from the green rooibos tea. No other flavors were noted. I added ⅜ teaspoon of sugar to bring out flavors.

When warm, the green rooibos and marigold flowers provided a soft and mellow mouthfeel. Lemon and orange flavoring tastes were mild. No other fruit tastes were noted.

From warm, and all the way to cool, moderate and citrusy lemon and mild orange flavors were present. Moderate wet hay flavors from the green rooibos tea were noted. The marigold gold flowers provided a mild bitter taste at the end. Conclusion: This blend might be better iced. (5 mins @ 212ºF, ⅜ tsp sugar)

Love lemony flavored teas! I add vanilla milk to make it taste like a lemon cookie, since I love dessert teas.

Just WOW! What an amazing uplifting blend. It reminds me of a fruity childhood cereal.

There’s almost too much flavor here. The suggested five minutes made it almost syrupy. The flavor isn’t bad, maybe with a higher water to tea ratio than the twelve ounces I used.

This is a really lovely herbal tea. A lot of people say they taste fruit loops and I didn't get any of that until the end of the cup when it was cooled. It smells and tastes heavily of lemon and has a light natural sweetness.

Have you ever met someone who says everything with such enthusiasm that it almost knocks you over and you kinda want to tell them to shut up? Those people are is this tea personified.

I opened the packet and the aroma was like 'OMG HELLO!!! I AM CITRUS!!!' It actually look my breath away for a moment. This is lemon and orange on steroids. It stays that way for the entire experience. However, the smell goes from CITRUS! to LEMON! ORANGE! MOUNTAIN DEW! FIZZY! 👀 Your intense energy is making me feel a little bit bombarded (mega bonus points if you know what movie that line came from without googling it. Message me if you do!)

Unfortunately, like most people who yell everything, this tea is mostly bark and very little bite. The citrus flavor is there and it is pretty strong. But with the amazing amount of smell-yelling this tea did, I expected in-you-face lemon and orange. I added sugar and that made it taste a bit like Froot Loops. This is yummy but I think I will stick to the green tea version of citron. The flavor just works better on a green tea base.

A smooth yet delicate flavor. My only complaint is that it needs a little more flavor, but that may be because I only steeped it five minutes instead of my normal seven with this sort of blend.

Adagio really does a great job with with their lemony citrus flavors. Tried this hot and it was wonderful. Added sweetener and it was just like a sweet fruity breakfast cereal that I shall not name!

I was expecting a fresher sweet tasting flavor. Orange, mango, lemon, apricot, what could be bad. But the tea tasted bitter not of sweet juices but more like the bitter flavor the zest would give. I was disappointed.

Crisp and citrus. Very much a spring tine tea.

Amazing tea. I find I am enjoying the Green Rooibos more then the red. The taste isn't quite as dominant allowing the other flavors to blend really well!

I dont much like it on its own but it's good mixed with green tea

Light citrus taste in a green rooibos base. I added a squeeze of lemon to bring out the freshness of the citrus. Taste comes out more when cooled.

This tea makes a fabulous iced tea! I can rarely find green rooibos teas, but to find it with a flavor was so exciting! We have already finished off this tea and will be ordering more, along with other honeybush and green rooibos teas.

This was ok. The citrus flavor was mostly orange & mild. I wanted to find a nice fruity flavor to make a no caffeine, no sugar iced tea this summer. I prefer the Green Rooibos Bonita.

Not a bad flavor, but hardly there! It’s like a ghost of a tea rather than a tea.

This is probably my favorite tea ever. The citrus is so refreshing and sweet. It's not bitter at all, very aromatic as well.

Very good tea - I drank it black - no milk or sugar, and found it sweet enough on its own. The lemon flavor was the most prominent with the slightest orange detected. I did not taste any mango or apricot flavors.
I have only tried this hot, and might try it iced as well. Might try both ways as a latte, too.

My friend loves anything citrusy. This was a gift for him and he said that it was best cold. I tried it and I liked it warm though the rooibos made it a bit, grassy? Hay like? in taste so be cautious if not a rooibos drinker.

This is another one that wasn't flavorful enough for my tastes. Didn't matter how long I steeped or how much I used. Smells good though.

I had this hot and cold and it's really just ok I was honestly disappointed. I LOVE the green rooibos bonita, and was hoping for something similar to that, but this is not that at all. It's a completely different flavor. It's strangely slightly creamy. The citrus tastes a bit like it's creamsicle flavored, but not like an orange creamsicle, like if lemon rinds were creamsicled. It's not expected. I will finish the sample, but not buy a big bag.

So glad this is zero caffeine but still a zingy uplifting cup of action.
The usual evening teas (with chamomile) are nice “good night” cups but so often you need a non-caffeine lifter to get through the night. This is perfect. 1tsp= 8 oz. 5 min. Try with honey but great as IS.

Decided to break into my sample of this when we had our first snow day. It's delicious, naturally sweet so no sugar required. I agree with another comment about it tasting similar to Fruit Loops though.

This is a good alternative for a green tea if you're looking to cut your caffeine intake. It has a soft woodsy kind of flavor with a little bit of citrus. Personally, I'd like the citrus to be more pronounced, but it's still an enjoyable cup. It's pretty alright brewed hot, but I definitely prefer this one iced!

Such a lovely summer tea! The green rooibos is a much more pleasant flavor than both green tea and the aggressive red rooibos. And the Citron is the best combination of all of the citruses. It's like a lovely lemonade, limeade, and orangeade, all combined with the balance of green rooibos. So refreshing! 🍊🍋

I wish it was a little more citrusy, but this is another great summer iced tea. I didn't add sweetner to it, but it made the sweet tea and unsweet tea fans happy. Very refreshing!

This is heavenly whether on it's own or to give a nice lemon citrus flavor to other teas. It is lemon-y without being overpowering, harsh, or having the astringent aspect some citrus flavors can take on.

This is my husband's go-to tea! He doesn't drink hot drinks often, but this one is his favorite when the tea-bug bites him. He said that it was perfect with just a little sugar. I'm sure it would taste wonderful with honey as well.

This is a very tasty, calming tea. It is bright and sweet without being too strong. It is labeled an herbal tea, but to me it still tastes of tea, where most herbals just taste like punch or fruit to me. Most enjoyable for a caffeine-free option.

This tea is ok. I was hoping for deeper citrus flavor.
