The sound of coconut, papaya and Pu erh together enticed me to try this one. It’s not bad, but I was hoping for more coconut punch than it delivered. I don’t fault the tea for that, it’s still a solid blend of coconut, papaya, and Pu erh. With Pu erh, I recommend trying the samples first if you’re new to it, because some people love the flavor and some people are not fans at all.

I got this as a sample initially and liked it so well I bought more. It has a wonderful smooth richness and unique depth of flavor. I've let it steep for as long as 30 minutes or so with no bitterness whatsoever. But, even after a much shorter first steep, a second one loses a lot of its depth and silky smoothness. I would say (in a very good way) that this is a one steep wonder. ;)

I have never had a pu-erh tea before, and I am glad I chose this one. The coconut is the flavor that stands out the most to me. It is absolutely delicious!

I was unsure about his at first, but my oh my, what wonderful tea! I dare to say this tea is 'full-bodied' and has such a rich coconut flavor. This is going to be one of my 'go-to's'

Pu-erh Tahiti tea take you to the tropics. It has a strong taste, but not bitter. I’m enjoying it hot right now, but am anxious to try it iced.

The tea is very smooth and mellow with no dry mouthfeel, but I got no taste of fruitiness or coconut. It isn t bad but it wasn t what I expected either. The aroma is hard to describe, again not bad, but not what I expected for a tea named after a tropical island. I do like it but don t love it. It was much better after I added a touch of cream, a little sugar and a 1/4 teaspoon of coconut extract.

Bold, earthy, complex with natural sweetness and exotic flavors from the papaya and coconut.

So...Ummmm I'm having a little trouble with this tea. The 1st issue is the smell once its brewed. It smells like stinky cheese. Once you get past the smell we arrive at the taste. Thankfully it does not taste like stinking cheese but the taste is very hard to explain. I was hoping for a floral-fruity combo. Instead I got an overwhelming smokey, burnt , musty flavor. In defense of the tea, I'v never had pu erh tea. Perhaps that's normal. Unfortunately, I'm not a fan.

This is the first Pu'erh tea that I've tried. I really like the earthy taste and how well the coconut compliments it. It certainly has made me excited to try more Pu'erh teas.

This is my favorite flavored pu erh so far. The coconut dominates but only just so and the pu erh provides a nice woodsy base. I didn't get a whole lot of the papaya flavor from the first steep but could definitely taste it in the second. Overall it's a pleasant mix of flavors. This isn't an everyday tea for me, but it will definitely be a staple in my pantry.

This tea was not my favorite. I have never had a Pu-Erh. The flavor is intense and I didn’t like it.

I really like the Pu-Erh line of teas and picked this up with all the other samples I ordered. I really love the flavor, Its got an earthy taste, with a chocolate after taste, so far one of the best teas I've had of the Pu-Erh line. I would definitely recommend this.

I am a new tea drinker and was looking for something with a higher level of caffeine but with lots of flavor. I read the other reviews of this tea and they are spot on. This is is full of coconut flavor, I myself, do not think that is a bad thing. I am definitely adding this tea as a regular in my collection!

This is a good puerh, however the tahiti has coconut and tropical flavors. Puerh is normally known for its earthy and dirty notes, so the tropical is non traditional in that sense. Not my favorite pureh

This is my morning go to tea! Love the full bodied flavor and this tea is full of antioxidents!

★★★☆☆

The Pu-Erh itself is fine, but the coconut flavors are not strong enough. It tastes more floral than fruity, which would have been OK if I hadn't been expecting something more interesting from this blend after reading its description.

★★★★★

Visually pretty with the coconut pieces and marigold petals, this tea tastes and smells mainly like coconut with some subtle tropical fruit notes.

I wanted to like this tea. Coconut and papaya sounded good together, but I found I would have preferred one flavor or the other.

★★★★☆

Has a very fruity blend, which I like. Not one of my all-time favorites but I will definitely enjoy a cup from time to time.

★★★★☆

This tea tastes great, I enjoy the coconut flavor of it!

Nicely balanced tea, perfect for the afternoon when I appreciate subtlety - not my favorite morning tea as it doesn't brew up very dark.

★★★☆☆

This was an okay tea, but too mellow. I preferred the pu erh chorange and pu erh hazelberry.

★★★★☆

Pretty good, nice tropical flavors. Seems a little unbalanced though.

★★★☆☆

The taste of coconut is strong in this one. If you love coconut, and like pu-erh, this is the tea for you... If, like me you love tea, and 'like' coconut, I'd suggest a different blend for you.

A tropical delight! Brewed a pot of this on an unexpectedly chilly night and it was like a summer vacation in a mug!

★★★★★

Favorite hot brewed so far. But then I'm working my way through my last order!

★★★☆☆

You open this tea to a big whiff of coconut and a woody scent. Brewed, it doesn t have much of a scent. Definitely a nice smooth mouth feel. And coconut. But like raw coconut, not super sweet. With a husky, woody finish. Not something I personally would drink by itself, but when you add in some yunan noir, and passionfruit, or some similar sweet/fruit combo, it add a nice body of delish!

The coconut definity stands out in this tea, which was just what I was looking for. The down side, however, is that there s a kind of bitter aftertaste.

★★★★★

I was super stoked to open this tea and give it a try. When I opened the bag the aroma of the blend was soft and fruity. I steeped a pot in anticipation of a delicious tea to take me away to a tropical paradise. With the first sip the coconut hit like a freight train but it was very quickly followed by a complex array of flavors that I can only describe as tasting like I had bitten into a bar of soap! And this soapy taste lingered long after swallowing the tea. I endeavored to finish that first cup, hoping the flavors would mellow or that perhaps it was just my initial reaction to the tea but alas, no, with each fresh sip I felt as if I would blow soap bubbles with my breathing. I'm going to give this experience some time to fade and then give this tea a second go round. I hope that it may have just been the circumstances of today's tasting and I will, in the end, have the tropical delight I envisioned this tea to be before tasting it.

Update: I gave this tea another go. This time I added just a splash of milk to it (read about this in another review for the Tahiti). I've upgraded my rating from awful to good. The milk changes the flavor from soapy to actually being able to taste the wonderful fruits blended into the tea. It was actually, now, pleasurable to drink. So, for me anyway, this tea will take just a splash of milk whenever I brew some up.

Update 3/6/17- So I am still experimenting with this tea. A little sugar and a splash of milk definitely bring it into the 'enjoyable' circle of teas I've tried and out of the 'tolerable' circle I had previously upgraded it to. With a little sugar and milk I find this to be quite satisfying and am now happy with it.

Update 3/16/2017-This tea is slowly growing on me. This evening I enjoyed a pot and found it to be more acceptable even without milk or sweetener. I did have one cup with Tupelo honey and it was definitely more enjoyable but the other two cups I sipped without any enhancements and they were good, too.

Update 8/5/17
I decided to try the Tahiti as an iced tea. This tea REALLY shines iced. The spices popped to the forefront of the flavor profile. Even unsweetened (how I prefer iced tea) it was delicious.

This is a nice tropical mix that isn't too fruity. The pu-erh notes make it mellow rather than tangy. In one cup I mixed in some coconut rum for a special treat.

I really have to be in the right mood to enjoy this one. It has a strange flavor that I can't quite put my finger on. I basically just drink this one my other favorite flavors are out

★★★★★

This tea had no flavor. It tasted watered down. I didn't get any of the tropical flavors it promised. I will try to double the amount of tea I used to see if that helps.
I have played with this tea and now has become my favorite!

This would be appealing if you love coconut. It had a too strong taste of coconut for me, and I was not fond of the aftertaste. I vastly prefer Hazelberry and Chorange, which are superb pu-ehr teas from Adagio.

★★★★★

I love how subtle the coconut taste is. I will definitely be ordering more of this one.

Really tasty and expressive pu erh. I steep this in boiling water and let it chill overnight. Highly recommend for a refreshing iced tea.

This has a great, not overpowering tropical flavor. I will definitely be buying it again.

★★★★★

Bring on the grass skirts. Very good coconut flavor.

★★★☆☆

This is decent, but I won't purchase it again. There was not a lot of flavor there. I even tried using twice as much as recommended to intensify the flavor, but I was still not thrilled.

★★☆☆☆

It's not bad tasting, but I just can't love this tea. I do not taste the coconut, and I loooove coconut, and it tastes very earthy, but to a fault. I may have been expecting a lighter tasting tea, but sadly, I was underwhelmed. May gift this to someone else. This just wasn't for me.
