Made a pitcher of tea with this buy starting it in the hot tea traditional sense and then just letting it cool and steep overnight and i wasn't really expecting much beyond tea but the solid coconut flavor that shone through made it a really nice drink, if you like almond joy candy bars this is the tea for you its just missing some chocolate to eat with it as you drink, great tea to serve of you are hosting a luau or tropical themed party, but avoid this if you do not like coconut

Refreshing, absolutely one of my favorite teas. Have yet to have it as an iced tea but will be trying that soon.

I really love the fruity flavor of this Pu-Erh tea. Delightful.

A nice fruity tea with the added earthiness of puerh. Now that the weather is warming up, I can’t wait to try this iced!

This tea is now one of my go=to teas. I love the earthiness of the pu-erh and the apple, papaya, raspberry, and mango adds just the right amount of tartness to counteract any fishiness (no rinse needed). Love this!

My new favorite. Pu erhs are all so earthy and cozy and just a fantastic base for flavors. It's nice to have all these wonderful tropical flavors rounded out with coconut that doesn't have to compete with the bitterness of a black tea.

The coconut adds a great flavor dimension to the Pu-Erh

A wonderfully refreshing tea! My partner doesn't like coconut but LOVED this tea! The flavors are well balanced and the pu-erh is very smooth. Just reordered a bigger bag

Like Hawaii in a cup! Not overpowering flavors, subtle and smooth.

This pu-erh tea has a lot going on. I enjoyed the fruity flavors paired with the tea. I don't taste too much of the coconut flavors, I wish there was more of that to enjoy. Happy sipping!

I wasn't expecting to enjoy this tea as much as I did since I haven't tried many pu-erhs. The dry leaves smell like tropical fruit, mainly papaya and mango. Once brewed at 212° for 5 minutes, sweet and nutty coconut comes through in the aroma on top of a slightly earthy pu-erh base. It tastes fruity and lightly sweet, with a smooth creamy finish that has notes of coconut creme and vanilla rose in the aftertaste. No bitterness whatsoever and very little astringency, just a very smooth cup. For the second steep I added a bit of sugar to try to enhance the fruit flavors, but I think I liked it better with nothing added. I will definitely buy a bag of this, looking forward to trying it iced in the summer time.

Such a nice tropical spice added to such an earthy tea.

SO INTERESTING and absolutely delicious over ice with a bowl of fruit!!

The dry tea smells so tropical, but the dark brown brewed cup is mostly the earthy taste of pu-erh. There is some sweetness to the brewed tea, most likely from the coconut, and the fruit additions can be barely tasted in the finish. I find the Pu-Erh Hazelberry and Pu-Erh Chorage to be stronger for fruit flavors than Pu-Erh Tahiti where other than the dry tea and some tropical fruit scent from the breed tea, it is not prominent at all. If you do not like the taste of Pu-Erh, this will most likely not be the flavor to try. I have added a scoop of Pina Colada to the second brew for stronger tropical flavors with success.

Loved the light aroma of this tea straight out of the bag, the hints of fruit and a subtle earthiness to it. Was wanting a bit of caffeine (ok a lot of caffeine after the caffeine free offering of my communiTea packet this morning) and this delightful offering was on my to be tried list.
I went with the recommended time of 5 min but dropped down to 200°, I think I might try a shorter time and slightly higher temp as mentioned in a couple of other reviews, but my steep was not disappointing at all. The flavors were all there but would like to see if I could get them just a little stronger. But they played well in this brewing, and this is easily a tea I can see my self enjoying when I’m not in the mood for the spiced ones I generally gravitate towards and want the same flavors but a little more gentleness. It’s also one I’d like to try iced later this summer when I’m not cold all the time. Definitely a tea I plan to keep around.

Very aromatic tea. I joke that it tastes like vacation. Very smooth taste.

Still my favorite. I drink this every morning! I first tried this tea at a meditation class and was amazed by the taste. I asked what it was and where to get it as it was just brought in a ziplock bag. I ordered it as soon as I found out. I am not one to add anything to my tea, so taste is important. The taste is unique from any other tea I’ve ever tried. It has a subtle sweetness but without tasting artificial. I highly recommend this tea to anyone, but especially if you love coconut and tropical fruits. Although don’t expect the coconut or papaya to overwhelm the taste of the tea it just compliments it. Amazing tea without a doubt!!

Nice Pu-Erh. The earthiness from the puerh works really well with the tropical fruit flavors. A really nice iced tea.

Wonderful flavor! It's not overly coconut-y. No one flavor dominates, instead they all work together to make a cup that's fruity and smooth.

Love at first sniff. Love at first sip. This tea is as much an experiment in aromatherapy, in libation and soul soothing. A beautiful reddish amber color on the first steep with top notes that are both woody, coconut with soft fruity hints. The first steep is packed with well balanced flavors matching all of the top notes and that's where you also sense the rose in taste and scent. A truly beautiful tea experience. I typically steep my teas twice and was a bit disappointed that the second steep lost all of the flavor. Lesson learned, a beautiful but delicate flavor profile like this is ephemeral but memorable. Definitely keeping this one on my favs list.

I really wanted to love this because it smells so tropical and has some great ingredients. Unfortunately, it mostly takes like hibiscus, and I can't stand hibiscus in my teas since it takes over the other flavors and comes off too tart. If this didn't have hibiscus or had much less, it would be far better.

I bought 9 teas and this was the last one I tried, probably because when opening the bag, the aroma was muted and did not stand out. I have to say of the nine, this was my favorite! The flavor is subtle and sublime, as well as unusual. Not quite sure what I am tasting, but I like this very much and I want more, much more!

This was the first pu-erh tea I've tried and it's fantastic! Wonderful tropical flavor with strong coconut and mango flavor. I'm a coffee drinker first and foremost but this is starting to replace my mid day coffee! Tastes great over ice as well.

This is a highly tropical tea that covers up a lot of Pu-Erh's earthiness. Coconut is the more dominant of the flavors. This would probably be interesting with a touch of coconut milk or as a latte. Love it!

Not bad, but I don’t know if I’d seek it out. I’d certainly drink it if I have it, though. Maybe just needs a little more oomph in the flavorings to push it over the edge for me?

The scent is rather coconut forward. The flavor is a delightful tropical experience.

oh my gosh! Just reading the ingredients, was a tropical throwback to one of favorite vacation spots. Upon opening my communiTea tea, a yummy almost fruity aroma, filled my kitchen. (I had a lot of rose petals, but did pick all but one out) Two of my favorite Pu-erh and Black tea shifted together, as a huge wave of hot water grabbed the right amount of tropical fruity flavors that got tangled up in perfect amount of yummy coconut. Noted would be great as an iced tea. While warm, enjoyed sipping this communiTea tea today, while dreaming. Steeped @ 200 for 3 mins.

This tea was pretty good, but a little too much apple for me. If I take out most of the apple pieces, I find it much more enjoyable. Overall a nice tea!
★★★★★
Just a hint of earthiness from the pu-erh, but the real star of the show is the tropical flavor. I would say coconut is the strongest flavor and a hint of sweetener is good in this one.

After reading the list of ingredients in this tea, I thought it tasted rather plain in comparison. Very mild, subtle notes, but still tasty! Low stars because it tasted fairly basic, and I expected more flavor based on the ingredients

I wasn't sure what to expect based on the mixed reviews, but this tea is DELICIOUS! One of my favorites I have tried from Adagio! <3 The coconut and fruit flavors blend together so well, and the taste, smell, and look of the tea is just perfect. I haven't had a lot of Pu-erh tea - this had sort of an earthy (dare I say slightly 'dirty') taste to it, which I didn't find entirely unpleasant. I don't normally go for coconut teas, so maybe having something so different was what made this such a pleasant cup of tea. I tried this hot, but I would love to see how it is cold also. I could see myself drinking this often!

This is the first pu-erh I've come across where I kept the rinse. It didn't have any fishy notes, just light earthiness.
I had a good amount of every ingredient in my CommuniTea packet.
The flavor was definitely 'tropical fruit', but other than that I couldn't pick out the separate flavors. I chose not to pick out any of my many rose petals, but even so it didn't have a heavy floral taste.
All said and told I would say this is a well balanced, fruity & earthy tea. I would be interested in trying it more.

My CommuniTEA sample packet of Pu-erh Tahiti contained lots of rose petals and apple pieces. I only saw one piece of coconut. From the previous reviews of this tea, I had thought there would be a stronger coconut flavor. However, mine tasted like a nice tropical fruity blend without any one dominant flavor. The pu-erh adds a rich base that doesn't compete (like Ceylon) with the fruitiness. As it cooled, the coconut became more pronounced, although still subtle. Although a pu-erh base, I didn’t rinse prior to steeping because there wasn’t any fishy smell detected. I steeped at 185F x 3 minutes, then added a little sweetener to further enhance the fruit flavor (the second steep was just as good unsweetened). Very nice tea that would also be refreshing as an iced drink in the summer

The smell of this tea reminded me of an old tropical scented shampoo I used to use… Not a bad thing but it threw me off at first. I’m generally not a fan of tropical flavors, especially coconut. Luckily, my CommuniTEA packet seemed to have just 1 large (roughly dime sized) piece of coconut which I pulled out. If there were any more, the flavor was subtle enough to not bother me. While hot, this tea was pleasantly fruity while still tasting like tea. I think the mango and papaya stood out the most. When my cup cooled to just warm, the floralness stood out more but there was something else about it I didn’t like much. In general I’m not a big fan of tropical flavors so this tea surprised me. I enjoyed my cup while it was still hot with nothing added but thought it was “meh” as it cooled. Resteeped, it had the same meh feeling I got from the end of the first cup. I added some sugar which made the tropical flavor more apparent. When sweetened, I see why many people are interested in this flavor as an iced tea. Overall, I think this is a wonderful blend. If I end up liking tropical flavors more in the future, I’ll have to pick up a full size of this tea!

A mellow, tropical black tea. Strong coconut scent and flavor. Fruity but not overly sweet.

This is definitely one of the best pu-erh teas I've tried. I didn't have to rinse it, and there's no fishy smell or taste. Even without sugar, it has a light and slightly sweet taste. I don't think this is something I'll buy, but it definitely wasn't bad!

I’ve never been a pu-era fanatic though it’s not improbable that I might find one enjoyable. This pu-wry, however, takes the cake. I’ll be honest when I say I wasn’t super ecstatic when I checked the ingredients list but this blend blew me away! I instinctively rinsed but wished I hadn’t because I wanted a more pronounced flavor by the second sip. The coconut is smooth and buttery enough for this coconut hater to thoroughly enjoy, while the tropical fruit flavors about which I tend to be quite picky are perfectly executed. This is my new all-time favorite pu-erh.

Excited to try this tea, we opened the CommuniTEA packet to find some wiry aged Pu'er leaves, coconut, rose petal, and papaya. The scent of papaya was pleasant and tropical, conjuring up memories of Costa Rica. We brewed it for 5 mins @ 212ºF, and took the first sip. It was a mild and mellow earthy Pu'er, with no fishiness or funkiness. The tropical papaya and coconut accent the earthiness nicely, and they become more prominent as the tea cools. The rose is hidden nicely in the background, adding a bit of floral character that mingles with the tropical flavors but doesn't overpower them. The tea has a medium body with soft mouthfeel that lingers on the tongue.
What a great tropical blend! This tea is definitely worth trying both hot & cold, and will bring the tropics to you in any season.

Tried with CommuniTEA.
My packet smelled a bit fishy, but a hot rinse for about 15 sec took care of that.
The fruit and coconut flavors are gentle, complimenting but not overwhelming the earthy pu-erh tea. I'm glad since I was worried I'd taste little of the actual tea. It was a very pleasant cup!

I felt this was a rich black tea with papaya and coconut Tropical tones.
I did rinse first just based on the smell. The coconut was hidden in the back ground but was present.
