This tea smells incredible. However, the taste falls a little flat for me. The spices didn't come through as much as I would have liked, and the tea was generally weaker than I would have liked.
Perky spices and mellow pu erh in a soul-soothing blend.

This tea smells incredible. However, the taste falls a little flat for me. The spices didn't come through as much as I would have liked, and the tea was generally weaker than I would have liked.
The spices in this tea were great, I loved how much cinnamon I could taste. Definitely something I'll be drinking a lot of once I move back home and have real winters again.
I did not enjoy this tea, but a friend of mine tried it and liked it. It had a sort of caramelized aftertaste that really threw me off.
Deeelicious. A lot like chai tea with a strong cinnamon flavor, but definitely unique.
I like this tea a little better than the Pu Erh Dante, but mostly because it has an added warmth that is needed for the winter. It also smells great.
i'll admit, it makes me think of chai, but there's something i can't quite pinpoint that makes me like it more than that. i can drink it with or without milk, and it's just so comforting!
My favorite of the flavored pu erh teas! The earthy pu erh taste is buttressed by the spice, which tastes the strongest of cinnamon and ginger (the anise is very faint and almost undetectable.) The mineral notes come out slowly, but are definitely there and very refreshing.
I find most of the chais I've tried here to be less strong and spicy than I prefer when prepared by the cup, but pu erh spice is plenty flavorful. It's not overly spicy, but it's spicy enough. My favorite of the pu erhs I've tried.
It was absolutely amazing. I will definitely be buying more very soon!
Fantastic tea to drink on a very cold day. I will be ordering more.
If you like spice tea, like I do, this is a great one. Definitely a favorite!
This is my husband's favorite tea out of a large amount of samples we ordered for Christmas. It is very flavorful and tastes amazing. We will be ordering more.
A very interesting tea. This was my first time having pu erh tea and I am not sure if I love it, but I really enjoyed the spicy flavor of this tea.
Tangy and spicy, this was a welcome treat for the cold days of this winter! It made me think of Christmas every time I sipped, and is truly a wonderful tea
Strong smell but somewhat less strong flavor, especially when warm (it gets stronger when cool). It tastes like chai tea, and is nice with a hit of honey.
The taste was not quite as strong as the aroma, but I still loved it.
This was my first real cup of pu erh. As I stated in an earlier review, I tried pu erh tahiti first, but I think the batch I received was bad. Anyway, this tes was perfect - very reminiscent of Chai, but with a nice earthy undertone. The smell in the bag is mostly orange, but that mellows out nicely in the cup and the rest of the flavors really come through. Will definitely order again.
This tea is almost one of my favorites. Opening the bag was heavenly. Smelling the brewed tea was the same! But the flavor . . . the flavor was almost a let down compared to the smell. But even so, this is one of my favorite of Adagio's spiced teas. It has a nice little tingle and smells, as I said, amazing.
I was not expecting to like this tea as much as I did, because I was a bit reluctant when it came to trying more of the pu erh variety. The earthiness of the pu erh actually compliments the citrus notes and spice of this blend wonderfully. Very, very yum and I definitely recommend this if you like chai or the oriental spice blends.
This tea tastes and smells like Christmas. So glad I opted to try some
Actually quite yummy, I love the spice blend. The orange peels give it a hint of sweetness without overpowering the anise and ginger. Love it for cold winter mornings. If you like chai, you'll like this.
I must say, I bought this with apprehension.
I got a pu erh from Adagio once before and found it disgusting. however, the combination of fermented-fishiness and spice was (somehow and confusingly) quite tasty. I am surprised to say I liked it. 3.5 stars. or maybe 4 stars, just because it tastes so different from my other teas.
Great flavour! I love spicy teas that don't have cloves and this one has a wonderful orange taste.
This one caught me off guard. It has a really strong and appetizing flavor.
This has a very good blend of spices. And I've always liked the base tea.
This is great if you like teas like christmas spice and masala chai, as it it heavy with cloves, orange, and ginger (I love these flavors, but they're not everyone's favorite). The smell in the bag still a bit like hay, as in the pu erh style, but the odd earthiness is smoothed out by the spice flavor and when it is brewed hot. A nice addition to Adagio's selection.
Love this tea. It's just barely 'spicy' and leaves a tiny tingle on the back of your throat. It's not as powerful as the spiced green, I'd say, but it has a fuller body.
nice and warming. earthy and relaxing. holidayish.
Wonderful flavor, unexpected richness and smooth quality!
Absolutely loving this! It's got such harvest, fall taste in my opinion, which is lovely.
I had not even heard of pu erh spice tea before this. Wasn't bad.
This tea is by far the BEST TEA I have EVER had from Adagio! I would LOVE a decaf version so I may have one before bed each night. It is a cup of warm goodness!
Delicious, the spices are really nicely balanced with the tea, which is very smooth. Perfect for Fall.
I love this tea, it reminds me so much of christmas time!
A wonderful combination of spices that aren't too over powering. I'm actually surprised there isn't any clove in it, or at least from what other people say there aren't since I can definitely smell and taste it--maybe that's the natural spice flavoring listed.
I initially tried steeping for 5 minutes and while I could definitely taste it, I wanted to try getting it a little stronger. After 8 minutes, the flavor deepened but didn't really get 'more' so I'm thinking I didn't use quite enough leaves in the first place.
Its pretty good though, 8 minutes and not even a hint of bitterness to it. I like the spiciness of it, particularly with the fruity/citrus taste in there as well. This is the second pu erh I've ever tried, and while it feels weird to compare this one to the last one because they're drastically different, I'll come out and say I like this one much better.
Gave this one another try. I find Pu 'erhs need less tea and shorter steep times for my taste. Very similar in flavor to the Oriental Spice.
not a fan of this tea probably since i dont like chai
This is quickly becoming one of my favorite fall/winter teas. Perfect spicy flavor.
Wife and I did not care for this one. To be fair we're learning that in general we do not prefer spiced tea. Still overall tastes artificial.
A bit of an odd combination of a earthy smell and a Christmas taste.
Very weak flavor, not up to my standards as either a spice tea or a pu erh.
Tried this in store. It has the wonderful aroma of chai, but a much smoother taste, no doubt thanks to the pu erh. I would recommend this to anyone who is unsure about giving chais a shot, but still wants to know what the fuss is about (if there is a market for introducing chai to tea beginners, I mean).
AHHH I cannot express how much i love this tea. It is spicy and warm and delicious. It is the most gorgeous pinkish orangish brown color. I love having it while eating ginger snap cookies.
The flavors seemed out of balance in this one.. a little too much ginger for my taste. And I wish there was some clove! That said, this tea is otherwise delicious, very autumn-y.
I don't get excited about pumpkin spice as everyone else does at this time of year. However this pu erh spice tea is going to be my fall beverage of choice. Mmmm It smells like the holidays, only much less stressful.
This tea was quite interesting. It tastes like how good potpourri smells, if that makes any sense. A little too floral for my personal tastes, but a good cup of tea nonetheless.
I think this one is a better chai than their massala blend! its got all the spiciness you'd expect, but the orange rinds and aniseed give it a sweetness thats very refreshing and pleasantly surprising!
This is my first pu erh -- I've been scared off from them by the fact that they're earthier, which isn't really my thing. But the spices carry this and it's absolutely lovely. Good rainy fall morning cuppa.
I'm really fond of pu ehr. All the ones I've tried have been great additions to my tea collection. This one is no exception. I love how well the spices compliment the earthy, warm tea.
