I'm not a big chocolate fan, but I did enjoy this pu erh. It tastes like a chocolate orange, followed by the mellow pu erh. I might try a bit of milk and sweetener in it to see how it turns out.
Rich chocolate and sweet orange with pu erh for a festive treat.

I'm not a big chocolate fan, but I did enjoy this pu erh. It tastes like a chocolate orange, followed by the mellow pu erh. I might try a bit of milk and sweetener in it to see how it turns out.
My favorite pu erh. The orange flavor softens it up and tastes great with the subtle chocolate flavor. One of my favorites.
This sounded terrible, but it was a free sample so I gave it a whirl. Somehow the citrus, chocolate, and must of the pu erh combine wonderfully. I definitely enjoyed and promptly re-ordered.
Pu erh from adagio is a bit darker and richer than some other competitors. Very strong, not for weak or ambivalent tea drinkers, but the orange and chocolate come through and it's my new favorite cup.
I've become a fan of pu erh teas, and this one didn't disappoint! Nice balance of the flavors here. Definitely will buy (already did) again!
One of the better fermented teas that Adagio offers. It really does smell and taste similar to chocolate and orange.
This is a really interesting tea. I've never had a tea quite like it. It's quickly become my favorite.
I love this blend. I love the cocoa nibs paired with the orange. I would recommend this tasty blend.
It smells exactly like a chocolate orange, but the taste was a bit too malty for me. I'm normally a fan of pu erh, but something about this one clings to my tongue. Adding a dollop of vanilla almond milk helped boost the sweetness.
Sensational. This is aromatherapy at its best. Not to much orange to over power.
This was and amazing tea my favorite one yet a hint of sweet, and citrus with a touch of chocolate giving you the satisfaction of having desert yet you are not.
tasted good but flavor was not strong enough with milk & sugar
Rich flavors of chocolate and orange. Great when want a full-bodied tea.
Amazing stuff. Pu erh is my favorite style of black teas, and this is an unbelievably tasty blend.
This is my absolute favorite tea. I brew it strong, then add a spoonful of honey and a little soy milk. Delicious!
Very good tea. The orange defiantly comes forward, refusing to let the chocolate dominate, while the pu erh gives it a rich depth that I really enjoyed. I'm glad that I picked up a 3 oz bag instead of just a sampler. I'll be reaching for this many times this cold winter and I think that the orange notes will make it quite enjoyable through the spring, too.
Earthy with a hint of orange. It's not one that I would choose everyday, but interesting.
This is the PERFECT tea for the holiday season, in my opinion. Those Terry's chocolate oranges (the ones you smack and they fall apart into orange-like slices) were always in my stocking. I don't usually like chocolate flavored tea, but had to give this one a shot. It is perfect. The chocolate flavor is very subtle so that it doesn't taste as watered down to me as in other sweet teas. It's very well balanced.
Still looking for that perfect orange tea, but this one is pretty good.
I bought this as a birthday present for someone who loves pu erh teas. I was less than impressed, but the gift recipient really enjoyed it, so I've averaged our ratings.
I tried the pu erh sample, ad thought that it simply wasn't for me... But i get this one is an acquired taste, and now, after some more cups I simply can't get enough of it!
Please, drink it plain. It is not tart, nor it goes bitter. I usually get two brewings with each set of leaves.
I like this, but my favorite pu erh on this site is hazelberry, which I drink almost every day.
Really nice flavor, dark and warm at the same time. This is my favortie of the flavored pu erhs.
This is the best pu erh tea on the whole cite. I recently
Ordered a pound of it and I am not at all disappointed. I'll be drinking this beauty for the rest of my life.
You really taste the choc and orange. I do like it alot for a change
The orange flavor of this tea became more prominent as the tea cooled. The chocolate flavor was mellow and pleasant. Update: This tea has become one of my 'go to' morning teas. It is a very pleasant 'eye opener.'
Absolutely delicious! It smells almost overwhelming in the bag, but the tea itself is mellow, without too much sweetness. The chocolate comes through subtly, and the orange is allowed to shine. Very delicious with milk and honey.
First time trying this specific tea, very flavorfull will definately purchase again
This is one of my favorite teas. I love the chocolate and citrus flavors. The pu erh has an earthy flavor that is subtle, but wonderful.
I love this tea! It is so delicious, the perfect orange and chocolate combo.
I've ordered this several times, and the tea has become very inconsistent the last year or so. It seems there is an even chance of getting a mocha flavor rather than the described chocolate. I drink tea because I cannot stand coffee, so this has become disappointing. If you like mocha, you should like this. Otherwise, you take your chances. 3/5 to cover both, 5/5 if they dropped the mocha.
Not really my cup of tea. Pu erhs have an edge that make them a bit of challenge for me. If you like a little funk this tea is for you.
Way better than expected--I'm wary of teas with a mix of flavors. However, all the flavors are definitely tasted in the cup. Nothing fake about it. Strong scent too. Really enjoyable tea caffeine for added benefit.
This...is not my cup of tea. I was expecting to REALLY love this one, since I love all the components (pu ehr, chocolate, orange) but this did not work for me. The flavor seems way too artificial or something, I almost get like a liquor quality from it. Or the quality of vanilla extract. I guess its the orange flavoring.. but its not for me.. I would have preferred a more subtle and natural flavor exuding from solely the orange peel. Glad I only got a sample of this one.
Nice orange flavor. I drink pu erh for the health benefits. Makes a nice breakfast tea.
Wasn't that great. Not terrible, but there are many other teas that are much better.
Pu Erh is always really strong! But I try mine with a lot of milk and honey to sort of drown out the strong parts of it the fact that it IS fermented so it naturally smells/tastes a bit earthy. While some people like it plain, I just can't handle it without sweetening it up a good bit or it tastes too powerful to me.
The pu erh is nice and earthy, with I think more chocolate than orange.
I was unsure how I'd feel about the pe erh sampler, and I've never been a huge fan of chocolate and orange together, but my palate must be expanding because I love this tea.
Used this to make some great iced tea. I really like the orange undertones.
this is a great after-dinner tea. i feel like the chocolate and orange handle my sweet-tooth while the pu erh settles my stomach well.
This tea tastes very similar to a Terry's Chocolate Orange. Pleasantly surprised, will definitely be buying again!
It tastes like earthy, mushroomy tea with chocolate and orange. You'd think the mushroomy flavor wouldn't go, but it's all perfectly balanced and delicious.
I bought a sample of this and am pretty sure I will be placing an order for a bigger batch. It was that good. It reminded me of a orange creamsicle but not as sweet. It had the perfect amount of orangy-citrus taste to it where it was not overpowering. The orange paired really well with the pu erh!
I love pu erh teas but this one... it was pretty much undrinkable for me. The chocolate is too overwhelming and honestly gave me a headache. The only way I could even stomach it was to add vanilla tea to it and use lots of milk.
It smells really fudgy dry but when it's steeped I don't get any chocolate flavor, just orange. It's a really pleasant orange flavor and I still enjoyed the tea a lot. I think it would have been better with sugar but I'm trying to cut back.
I don't normally like orange flavor in my tea but I really liked this. I think because of the earthy nature of the pu erh.
I feel like the flavor of this is a bit muddled. Not terrible, but not my favorite and not one I find myself reaching for frequently. Wish the citrus and chocolate were more pronounced.
I love the smell and taste of this tea so much! This would be great for anyone who loves chocolate and orange together! I'm already planning to get this again in the future.
It doesn't taste very strongly of chocolate orange, although the orange is there.
