Unique tea. Bitter without being overpoweringly so. Nice and dark. Have not yet tried with milk or sugar but makes a nice strong astringent cup.
Very rare oolong from Singbulli Estate, Darjeeling, India. Muscat grape and apricot pit aroma (also the mark of fine Darjeeling black teas). Dried fruit flavor, lingering floral notes. A lesson in 'terroir': the place where the tea is grown.

Unique tea. Bitter without being overpoweringly so. Nice and dark. Have not yet tried with milk or sugar but makes a nice strong astringent cup.
I prefer a stronger Darjeeling so I docked one point. This is otherwise a good, flavorful tea.
Along with almond oolong this is my favorite. There is something about oolong that I love!!
This wasn't bad at all but it wasn't great. I have never had this kind of tea so I don't know
how to compare it to other teas like it, but I found the silver needle and earl grey bravo to taste better so I would buy others before I rebought this one.
Excellent flavor, however I find it hard to put the tea leaves in my diffuser because they are long -- also difficult to measure out with a teaspoon.
From the pouch I can smell the herbal wooden chest notes someone else mentioned in their review, it was very interesting. The after steeping color is a straw color. This tea is very smooth on the palate and finishing note of a subtle earthy ness.
This has a wonderful flavor. One of the better Darjeeling I’ve had so far.
In the packet it smells like grass and berbs stored in an old wooden chest. Looks noticeably darker than the picture. Brews a straw color, slightly hazy. Aroma adds overcooked vegetables. Growing astringency and floral notes as it becomes warm. I’d like to try this below the recommended 212F, maybe 190. 3.5 stars.
Glad I sampled this one, but have to say it's just o.k. Strong aroma of dry hay and/or drying tobacco. Greenish golden color when done steeping. Didn't get any of the flavor notes in Adagio's description. That was disappointing. Green tea lovers will appreciate this one, more than I do.
this tea has a delicious and sweet flavor but I wasn't a fan of the taste of the later steepings. the mineral taste becomes overpowering
My personal favorite. Oooh Darjeeling - such a perfect name.
I'm a sucker for darjeelings and this is another good one!
The dry tea is fruity and sweet like dried apricots, white grape, and a hint of honeysuckle. Thiquor is light honey colored and the smell is faint but sweet and woody. The flavor is slightly more dry and astringent than some other Darjeelings I've had. It is bold with a simple but pleasant fruity flavor and a faint smoky minerally finish. This is just an all around pleasant tea, and a nice chaser to any meal.
A lighter darjeeling with more floral notes, a great tea.
I love Darjeeling. Being able to buy it and have it delivered to my home is just so nice.
To start, I am a tea enthusiast but not so much with the technical terms.
-All 1st brews - I always like to start with dry scent and sweetener-free for the first brew to really see if I'll like a tea or if it's just a vessel for sugar.
-This tea has a nice earthy dry scent like an oolong which I enjoy.
-1st brew - I did 3 teaspoons (I like a stronger tea so I always add more than recommended) at 205degrees for just at 4mins. No sweetener for the first brew. First sip - I did a quick hot sip to test for bitterness and was pleasantly surprised to find none. Smooth sips with a light flavor and no aftertaste or bitterness throughout the cup until it cooled to room temp then there was a slight aftertaste which was not unpleasant just noticeable.
-2nd brew - same temp and time but with rock sugar added to taste (I never use anything but the german/belgian beet rock sugar for my tea as it is the only one I've found that does not alter the flavor of the tea). Initial sip, no sugar yet, flavor is a lot lighter. With sugar, given some time to blend, it tasted lovely sweetened. Has more of a honey flavor now. Still minimal aftertaste.
Definitely adding this to my repeat order list.
Darjeeling is one of my favorites. Blk, oolong, white. But this one is smoother than regular darjeelings.
This is another lovely Darjeeling from Adagio. It is going to be a hard task to pick my favorite of the available Darjeeling teas.
Super flavorful compared to some other brands I've had.
I absolutely ADORE the flavor of this tea! When I crave a cup of tea, this is the one that satisfies. I'm not good at assessing the different flavors but I like the way this one stays on your tongue a bit...not acidic or astringent. It just tastes very "clean" to me. Love it, will be reordering.
My co-worker brought this tea for me to try one day. It's smooth and has great flavor.
Matches the description very well. I left my tea infuser in the entire cup, and it did not get over powering
Not my favorite, but a nice light alternative to my standard morning breakfast cup.
This is one of my favorites. This is my go-to tea to brew when introducing friends to good tea. I brew it in my Gaiwan or cast iron tea kettle so they get the whole experience. I love this tea!
I really enjoyed this tea. I steeped it for much longer, I got side tracked...but it wasn't bitter. Wonderful afternoon tea with a sweet little snack.
After trying a few oolongs I think this one is my favorite. Nice strong finish with subtle floral hints. I will be adding this to my stable of teas. Try it, you won’t be disappointed.
This has a wonderful flavor. Best Darjeeling I’ve had.
YEAH BOIII this tea is so distinct, i try only to drink it when I'm in a good mood so every time i drink it afterwards I'm taken back to all the other times I've had it. It has a really interesting, almost grape-y flavor that i love
This is the preference of my youngest son. It is one of the only tea he will drink
Very smooth and light. Enjoyed it greatly with my mom for tea. She loves oolong and darjeeling-- we were so intrigued to try it and were really happy with it!
brewed gong fu style. I really enjoyed this darjeeeling!! It smells like baked goods and honey and has a light crisp flavor
So good! It's a bad day picker upper for sure. The flavors are subtle but delightful
Clean, subtle tea. Better sweet in my opinion, but good without
This was the one tea in a haul of other tea that I thought I would like the least, but I liked it the most. This is really light and beautiful, I highly recommend this oolong.
Great tea! Has a nice flavor, strong and astringent.
Not as special as I was expecting, but not bad. Just a nice, though slightly bitter tea.
Nice oolong earthy / roasty tones on top of a classic darjeeling taste.
Unmistakably awesome taste of darjeeling that I didn't even know existed.
This is officially the house favourite! This is a full-bodied tea that can easily be steeped 3 times. This taste has an oaky taste that is ridiculously smooth. I will DEFINITELY be getting a bigger bag.
I tried Ooooh Darjeeling while I was living in Chicago years ago and keep coming back to it! It is an exceptionally delicious tea and taught me so much about terroir.
This is one of my favorite teas!! It has a very smooth flavor.
I typically don't like this kind of tea but this version is surprisingly tasty.
In my hunt for a new favorite iced tea, I ordered 9 samples (two repeats from stuff my mom gave me to try, and 7 new ones). This was the second I tried. I was skeptical going in to this one because my mother, the real tea-drinker in the family, mentioned that she didn't care for Darjeeling teas. Layered with that was knowing that despite this tea being grown in India (like my old preferred teas), it's probably C. sinensis - though I don't know that for sure. Also, this is the only oolong sample I ordered, despite generally being a fan. After my somewhat underwhelming experience trying my first sample before it cooled completed (that was the Yunnan Noir), I let this chill completely in the fridge after once again brewing in my old Nilgiri way (see profile for more on that). This tea brewed so much paler than the black teas I'm used to that I was surprised (in retrospect, I shouldn't have been). I almost didn't dilute it as far as I generally do after the sitting period but I did and I'm so glad! While this tea doesn't make my *perfect* pitcher, it's pretty darn good! This was the tea that really cemented that I can, in fact, taste the difference in teas and can pick up some subtle flavors. Though, this tea doesn't actually ring as any of the suggested fruits in the description. For me, it's got an almost lemony linger. Which perfectly positions it as a potential tea in my final blend. I'm so glad I gave this one a shot!
Weak brew, light body, doesn’t really reveal the notes as described. Not a fan..
Really nice, slightly astringent tasting, but in a really good way.
Ordered based on a rave review. I liked it and it steeped well for 2 cups.
Lovely and delicate, was given a sample of this and had to buy my own!
Probably wouldn t get again. A little weaker than I thought it would be. I have these strawberry cookies from the british market that says to pair them with darjeeling, so I ordered a sample. Maybe I need to brew it longer, not sure?
A different flavor of tea for sure for me. But I like the floral notes in this tea. It adds a bit of a mystery, wondering what your next sip will be like.
This tea..I don't know..I guess I was expecting a great taste, and was surprised. There wasn't a taste at all with this one. Love most of the others, though!
