Great, smooth texture and flavor... enjoyed this with some milk added
An oolong tea prized for its inherent cream and butter notes. Lower quality versions enhance these notes through aromatization. Ours is a true Milk Oolong, with slightly roasted leaves that yield a light-bodied cup with sweet buttery texture and delicate floral aroma.

Great, smooth texture and flavor... enjoyed this with some milk added
The first brew was a disappointing overly grassy concoction with undernotes of metallic seaweed. Maybe it’s just my palate, but there was none of the mildly sweet milky creaminess I so look forward to with a milk oolong. Second steep though more drinkable was lackluster. Third steep was dishwater.
I'm not a huge Oolong fan, so probably not the best person to review them. To me this tastes a little grassy but with a smooth, creamy almost sweet finish. It's OK but I don't really see myself reaching for it often.
So, so smooth. Lovely and mellow, re-steeps fabulously. Definitely buying this one again.
Beautiful, creamy taste with a soft, round mouthfeel. Milk oolongs are very hard to describe if you haven't had them before, because it just seems impossible to get such a rich, buttery, dairy sensation without any additives. But that's the magic of tea and terroir! (You can find lower quality milk oolongs that are 'enhanced' with dairy–skip those, it's not worth it.)
If you want a magic of tea moment, give this a try.
Good for at least three infusions per leaf-serving; I tend to add an extra minute per infusion.
This is optimal tea for Gongfu service! The flavor is complex and forgiving with even beginner techniques. I can drink one pot of this for hours when I incrementally raise the temperature and brew time
Delicious alternative to the classics and low to moderate caffiene
Flavor is a little too mild, but a solid oolong tea.
Very very mild, as many oolongs are. A bit too mild for me, personally, but it's a lovely tea otherwise.
This is a nice smooth oolong. It s a bit pricier that some of the others but was fun to try and quite enjoyable.
My original review of this tea wasn’t that great, but I decided to try it again and this time compare it side-by-side with golden flower (which is my go-to oolong) and I was surprised by how different the flavors actually are. This one has a much more earthy flavor that I really enjoyed. I love both this tea and the golden flower and probably actually prefer this one, but the price point makes me reluctant to buy more. At least it seems like the sample will last a while especially if I make small batches and re-steep it. Either way I definitely did not give this tea enough credit the first time I tried it so I decided to revise my review
I am a fairly recent convert to loose tea, so I am very much in the exploratory phase. I had tasted a milk oolong tea from Davids Tea a while ago, and when I was referred to Adagio, I was hoping to find its counterpart. Found it. It's smooth and flavorful - but not overwhelmingly so and will likely be my go-to Oolong.
This is another staple tea for me. It a perfect balance of all the things I love about tea. It’s a sweet, creamy, but refreshing oolong.
This was much lighter and less creamy than I expected it to be, it was almost like a white tea, it was so delicate. This was very mellow, a nice cup to finish out an afternoon but not too strong to have as a morning cup.
The texture of this tea in the mouth is silky and slightly 'viscous,' almost velvety. The flavor is mildly floral with an almost sweet finish. It has become one of our favorite teas.
Expands maybe 4x. Brews a pale greenish straw color. Aroma is slightly floral; flavor adds slight toastiness. No bitterness or astringency. I like its unroasted / non-mineral flavor... like Golden Flower (which is more affordable).
Disappointing. Did I get the wrong tea with my package? There was no milk taste at all. If you want an actual milk oolong, get the one from Republic of Tea instead.
Very enjoyable tea, though not my favorite of it's kind as it doesn't hold up as well to multiple infustions.
This has become my favourite Tea. I drink this most every morning, sometimes I look forward to a cup in the afternoon. It's very smooth, the taste is lingering and a little on the sweet side. It gives no after taste and no brassiness at all. A great choice.
I like this oolong almost as much as Yunnan Noir, and that's saying a lot. The second and third steeps of this one are my favorites. I also like to blend this one with Blood Orange—highly reminiscent of Blood Orange Sorbet from that tea place that closed down and made me go looking for new teas...
I liked this tea a lot. I liked the sweetness that seemed more prominent in this oolong versus others I've tried.
Very lightly floral, slightly buttery with a soft mouth feel.
The tea seemed very fresh, and opened beautifully as it steeped. It had a pleasant mouth-feel. Others have said the taste was too mild, I did not find it so. Came out on top in a blind taste test (tied with Jade Oolong) with my family.
This tea is amazing, more green in nature and color than brown, and so delicate, yet having a full, buttery mouth-feel. No astringency! I'm getting 3-4 steeps per serving, and each cupful is just as flavorful as the first. Highly recommended!
Depending on how much sweetener you use this tea can come out extremely sweet but if you lightly sweeten it, the milk flavor is there also has a hint of nutty taste to it.
I loved how smooth and delicious it was. I followed the directions on the package with no milk or sweetener
Smooth, creamy, and tasty. This is a delicious tea.
Very smooth and balanced- I didn't experience any bitterness even after multiple steeps. The leaves unfurl beautifully!
I don t really taste much from it, I mostly taste the creamier texture unless you oversteep it (then it s bitter). I haven t had this with dairy or sugar, just plain tea and steeped since I usually prefer my teas plain.
Nice oolong, though the milk flavor isn't as prominent as I'd like.
A delicious oolong with a very faint cream flavor at the end of every sip. It’s wonderful to watch unfurl in a glass cup, but expect to use a little over a teaspoon to get a full depth of flavor.
I tried brewing it a few different ways and I just couldn't get a cup that had any real flavor to it besides the grassy notes.
This was one of the smoother oolongs I have had & it is worth trying. Most oolongs tend to end (for me) with a mild green bitter afterthought. That's not the case with this one, it's exceptionally smooth (a very soft mouth feel!) & paired nicely with just the slightest bit of honey. It resteeps well also!
A silky smooth oolong with lovely notes reminiscent of cream, ergo the name. A perfect tea for any time of day
Incredible vegetal flavor and aroma, really smooth. I like the way it coats my mouth. The small rolled up leaves are very deceptive, and unfurl a lot while steeping.
I love how buttery this is! Watching the leaves unfurl is so mesmerizing.
I was hoping for a more milky sweet taste like I have had with other milk oolong but this one did not really have that special flavor unfortunately- still a great cup of oolong though
It's ok, I don't love it enough to order again. Maybe my palate isn't refined enough. I picked up some very unexpected seaweed notes which were particularly strong at first unless I first rinse briefly with cool water.
I actually preferred the second steep with this, it was both fuller and softer.
really nice, smells creamy and floral. flavor is complex, but not insanely so.
I usually love the milk oolong from Adagio, but something must be off with the weather where it's grown or something. It just doesn't taste like milk oolong--no creaminess. None. It tastes like a regular oolong, which is fine, but not for the price. I've tried two different orders and it's the same. I'll have to find another supplier for this tea. :(
Tried again months later. Still not creamy.
Has a nice creamy taste with out any milk. I highly recommend this tea.
This is pretty good-- a mellow oolong tea, that somehow manages to be just a little bit milky without any cream!
It does have a smooth mouthfeel, but it doesn t taste buttery- I suppose it is a bit there in the scent. Flavor wise it somewhat reminded me of a greenbean? But at the same time not... I added a teaspoon of sugar to my second steep and found it rather tasty.
Not a flavor I d want often, but not bad!
This one is interesting, it tastes like it has a bit of milk in it, I am told they water it with milk, not sure though.
An amazingly subtle cup of tea. No bitterness, and the liquor is bright and floral with a slightly buttery taste. The almost creaminess of this tea really comes through. I found it was best after it had cooled considerably, making the tea only get better from the first sip. I've had good luck with repeated steepings.
Mellow, clean, and indulgent. An excellent oolong!
Wonderful green oolong tea! Milk oolong is one of my favorites.
It does taste like milk! But in a subtle way and the Oolong part doesn't get overpowered.
This tea really is surprisingly creamy and has a nice body.
My favorite tea! Very fragrant and flavorful.
