A must have! Although it looks expensive, I resteep the leaves five times throughout the day, it is ultimately my most cost effective buy. With it's gentle flavor and buttery mouthfeel, there's no reason not to buy!
An oolong tea prized for its inherent cream and butter notes. Lower quality versions enhance these notes through aromatization. Ours is a true Milk Oolong, with slightly roasted leaves that yield a light-bodied cup with sweet buttery texture and delicate floral aroma.

I'm new to hot tea, but even I can tell that Milk Oolong is phenomenal. Well worth the price for a luxurious cup of good tea.
A sweet, floral oolong with a definite creaminess in the mouth. Has a delicate color and scent, and a strong resemblance to some green teas. Very complex flavor and a nice color going from a dark straw to a burnt orange if the tea is reheated. Good for multiple infusions. I usually do three. One for two minutes, one for for and one for six at about 185F
Based on the description given on this site and my prior experience with milk oolongs, I was drooling like Pavlov's dog waiting for this to be delivered. This milk oolong is very, very disappointing. The sweet, creamy notes I was expecting were entirely absent. I would not recommend this but, for the love of Guan Yin, please do find a higher quality sample of milk oolong to try. it's fantastic. This just doesn't do it any justice.
Can't go wrong with a milk oolong. This is one of the best teas you can buy on this site for the price.
Simply Amazing. Delicious oolong tea with a robust flavor.
Very nice. It tastes almost like asparagus to me, but that's not a bad thing.
This one has an interesting, full texture! The sweet notes make it a very soft, pleasant tea.
Floral and almost sweet on the first infusion - loved it! There's a certain underlying 'bite' to this tea after its first infusion that reminded me of gunpowder tea. Loved how smooth it is.
liked this tea a lot. very pleasant flavor. lots of body.
Milky, creamy and smooth. As it says, an almost buttery smoothness.
This is a tea that will remain a favorite of mine. The name may sound unappetizing at first, but be assured it has a definite crisp, closer-to-green tea flavor. It is much better than any other milk oolongs I have tried in the past and well worth the cost. It is full leaf, which makes for several good infusions. It will burn easily if steeped at too high of a temperature so make sure your water is well under boiling temp. I usually add another minute to the steeping time the second and third time around to give more time for that wonderful flavor to come out.
This is a very good everyday tea for me. Medium bold, smooth. Will buy again.
This is delicious! I was skeptical of it based on the smell (not my favorite) but it has a beautiful flavor, and the creaminess is like an added luxury. It's a simple tea with an element of indulgence. Really good.
This didn't wow me but I'll have to give it some more time.
Rare to find but exceptionally good. The milky flavor is not overpowering.
This is a great tasting oolong. The leaves unfurl for a perfect liquor. So buttery an floral.
Very smooth tea. Enjoyed the lightness of flavor with the buttery notes. Something to savor, for sure.
It does not have as much 'milk' flavor as than 'Milk Oolong' I had in the past from other companies. The price is too expensive comparing to other better 'Milk Oolong'.
I steeped 2 pots of this last night and its wonderful!
It's hard to describe this tea. I think it's one of the most complex ones I've tried - each additional steeping tasted different. The first was very delicate and kind of creamy, with an almost milk-like aftertaste. The smell reminded me of some other tea I'd had, maybe genmai cha. The second steeping was stronger tasting, with a heavier toasted grain and maybe vegetal edge to it, although the milky aftertaste was still there. In subsequent steepings, the flavor evened out more and made me think of weak genmai cha. Unfortunately, the milky aftertaste, which I liked, either went away or became too weak for me to notice.
I'm still debating whether to get more of this. On the one hand, the difference between each steeping made it kind of fun to drink, and I enjoyed watching the leaves unfurl (they're absolutely huge). On the other hand, it's pretty expensive, and the flavors I liked the most (the roastiness and milky aftertaste) became much less noticeable after the second steeping.
Nothing exactly wrong with this tea. I am just getting into tea drinking and trying different teas. This was my first oolong tea and was not what I was expecting. Very earthy and grassy like? If that is the word for it. It was interesting but it just wasn't my kind of tea. Loved the opportunity to try though!
Really nice, mellow flavor with a creamy mouth feel. I can use a single heaping teaspoon and brew it three times (2.5 minute brews) over the course of a day and the leaves continue to unfurl. Each mug is flavorful and caffeinated enough to perk me up during that afternoon slump.
this is GREAT. It tastes sort of like a green tea, but not too overwhelming. It is 'milk' oolong so I wasn't sure if I should add a splash of milk or not, I didn't this time, maybe next!
I love this milk oolong. I drink it all day. Its hard to switch teas when I run low. Its great if I want to go to bed.
A dark oolong, not bad overall, but I prefer something a little lighter.
I was a little disappointed with the lack of flavor on this tea..I think maybe a stronger steep time..
Othewise a bit expensive
this is not a typical oolong, but I love it exactly for its unique taste - somewhat sweet and smoky. it's pretty demanding though, the water has to be of the best quality, otherwise it will spoil the taste.
Over all a pleasant oolong for sipping on a quiet afternoon. Soft flavors.
Not sure if this tea is flavored. When you first open the package, there's a strong whiff of milk tea. First brew to wash the leaves. Takes about 2-3min before the leaves open up. First note is surprisingly grassy and green, then a light milky flavor, smooth mouthfeel. More roasted flavors were apparent on the second brew. This has minimal characteristics of oolong and notes of milkiness. Not my cup of tea, but you might like it
I just can't seem to get this tea right and end up forcing myself to drink the pot. A bit too light for my preferences -- I like to lightly sweeten my tea, but it seems like whatever I add, no matter how little, that flavor overtakes the tea flavor.
Without the sweetness, the delicate flavor and perfume is lovely -- so I'm giving it 'ok' instead of 'bad', but it doesn't fit my needs at all.
I really did not find the milky or buttery texture that I find in other teas, like the pouchong. In fact it was pretty bitter. I used my liquid thermometer to be sure it was at 195 degrees. I tried it at 180 and 185 as well. I used a timer and tried to steep at 2 min, 2.5 and 3 min and it was always bitter. I'd return it if I could.
Beautiful golden color. One of the best teas I've ever had. Definitely an oolong that can be steeped two or three times (best flavor is on the second, in my opinion).
Weaker tasting than I was expecting. Not bad though.
Really great stuff. Next time I have the money for it, I'm totally buying more than just a sample. Just a fantastic taste, a great feel on the tongue. Fabulous.
I really enjoyed this tea. The buttery note was great.
I didn't think it was a favorite when I first tried it but it was the first sample I finished. Very unique, maybe not the best to share with tea novices but I do keep it on the shelf all the time.
I love this oolong, wish I could drink it all the time.
Very nice tea. It has strong flavor but is still very smooth
soft and buttery, it's sunshine in a cup. It's delicious!
Kind of weird, but really good! It's creamy, but grassy? I'm a fan, even if I'm confused.
This tea had a great flavor and I look forward to having more of it in the future.
It's expensive, but I can't stop reordering this tea. It's so soothing and smooth, and has the perfect green tea taste without the unpleasant mouth-dryness afterwards. A lot of teas make me nauseated unless I have them with a big meal but this one is quite gentle on my stomach. It's not 'sugary' in a flavored way, but the roundness of the flavor makes it feel sweet and comforting. I have some in a thermos every morning and also enjoy it as a study-companion. It's my desert-island tea!
The 'milky' and 'creamy' qualities come more in the mouthfeel rather than the flavor, though there is a faint metallic aftertaste that reminds me a bit of milk. Otherwise, this is a subtle, soothing, plush oolong. Definitely brew this tea several times to open up the leaves and, subsequently, the flavors.
Looks like spinach-not a good scent in bag-brewing-or cup.
A good oolong that becomes great with the second and third steeps. The smell is very vegetal but the taste is light and refreshing. Too expensive to order all the time. I stick to the jade oolong as my everyday tea.
My new favorite every day tea. No matter how long you steep it, it's never bitter. Has a thick taste like its namesake. Smell is pretty neutral. I'm not gonna say 'nose,' cause it's a smell. Deal with it.
Good milk oolong. I've had better from other companies.
It's smooth like a matcha but not as grassy tasting. It really does have a milky taste and very low astringency. Pretty tasty.
Delicious. I tend to drink mostly green tea, but was given a sample of Milk Oolong at an Adagio store. It's texture is indeed milky and smooth, and it tastes ever so slightly sweet with no aftertaste. It also can be steeped 2-3 times and still produce excellent tea.
