I think maybe I'm just not an oolong person. I had so wanted to like this one.
An oolong tea prized for its inherent cream and butter notes. Lower quality versions enhance these notes through aromatization. Ours is a true Milk Oolong, with slightly roasted leaves that yield a light-bodied cup with sweet buttery texture and delicate floral aroma.

I think maybe I'm just not an oolong person. I had so wanted to like this one.
I adore this tea, and I'm honestly having a difficult time going back to other oolongs after trying this one. I was trying to recreate Teavana's Body+Mind tea, so I decided to pick out my favorite white, green and oolong and then mix them together...but I just keep coming back to this one and ignoring my green and white teas entirely. There is a subtle creaminess to this tea that makes for a very smooth cup.
Very light. Takes a lot more tea and longer to brew, but it’s worth it. Wish it wasn’t as expensive.
Delicious light tea. It has a nice mellow taste, so if you don't like the strong vegetal taste of some oolongs, this would be perfect for you. I prepared it typical gongfu style and there were no bitter notes, just soothing creaminess. I also tried the recommended 2-3 min. A delicate and natural milky, buttery mouthfeel is wonderful.
Very nice milk oolong - expensive, but worth a try of the sample size at least. Great for a more mild cup and something different. Very light and smooth and a great way to expand your tea palate. Glad I tried it!
Another great oolong from Adagio. I like the stronger flavor of Jade more, but this has a very milky taste and texture that is different and stands out from the others.
I purchased some milk oolong in London and fell in love with it. I was thrilled to see it here, but a little nervous it might not be as good as the one I purchased overseas. I need not have been concerned, it is just as smooth, light and delicious. I LOVE this tea in the afternoon. It is not heavy. It is light, mild and creamy without any added cream. I love that the grassiness is so well balanced. YUM.
I found a bit of harshness on my first brew of this stuff, but the second time I tried it, I really enjoyed it and found myself savoring the buttery note at the end. Very delicious, I think this is my new favorite!
I LOVE This blend! It's soft, creamy and buttery. It does an amazing job of maintaining its flavor through multiple steeps. I've been sharing it with others and the consensus is the same. This one's a winner!
This oolong has quickly become one of my favourite teas.. it is smooth and hints of a creamy mouth feel without any cream! It's amazing. So rich and nearly decadent but still very much that toasty oolong flavour.
This is a very subtle oolong tea. It doesn't have much of the earthiness or mineral elements; instead, it provides a wonderfully soft flavor with just a hint of oxidation. I highly recommend steeping this tea for 3 min instead of the widely recommended 2; it comes out too weak for my tastes with the shorter time. You can also brew this tea at *least* twice, maybe even three times. It may be expensive, but you get more than your money's worth in terms of quality.
This tea is great, with slightly sweet flavor followed by an earthy tone.
A smooth and subtle cup that's great even after multiple steepings. Definitely a lighter oolong.
A nice light oolong with a smooth, buttery mouthfeel and a slightly nutty aroma.
Oolong teas have always been my preference, loose leaf in particular. I love the smooth and refreshing flavor of this tea and its on my list of top favorites.
A creamy smooth oolong. I use this as a backup for my daily Gunpowder Green. Very tasty with a dab of honey.
Smooth and creamy! Sooo delicious. Steeped it three times and it was great every time.
All right. I was expecting the milky quality to be stronger.
One of my most favorite teas! It has a great oolong flavor and just a slight bitterness. This tea is rolled very tightly be careful how much you put in your infuser my first cup crawled out all over the counter!!!
Lovely oolong! I was given a sample of this in store with a purchase and was a bit surprised at the price when I went to order a full bag lol. But it is easily the best oolong I have ever had, so I finally bit the bullet and got a bag. Smooth with great taste.
Well this was an enjoyable drink! I was skeptical of the other reviews, but it does truly have a buttery feel.
Very light, with an almost jasmine-y smell. My husband wasn't crazy about it-thought it tasted kind of fishy, but I enjoyed it!
Very smooth tea with subtle buttery notes. I was able to reuse the same tea leaves 3 or 4 times and the flavor was still great.
True to its name! I did not expect this tea to literally taste exactly like milk. I don't love it, but I don't hate it either. Very light taste. I'll probably mix it in other flavors that I'd otherwise add milk to. Fun to sample though!
this tea has very nice flavor, mildly floral which i usually don't like but it works with the earthiness of this tea
Love this Oolong and blend it with many other teas. Very nice
it has a wonderful flavour and is great for a relaxing cup at the end of a long day.
Nice, smooth, thick taste. If you've had Milk Oolong before, this definitely lives up to the hype. Expensive but can be steeped more than once. I like to steep it 3 times but of course the third steep isn't as strong of a flavor as the first or second but still there.
Very delicate and light. I definitely got hints of butter in it, though it was very subtle--not something I m used to, but nevertheless enjoyed. The smell was on another level, though--it smelled really buttery, and even grassy after being steeped, though all I tasted was the butter. Overall, a very enjoyable tea for winding down after a long, cold day.
Wow. Very flavorful but has a nice mouthful.soft enough to enjoy on a daily basis but good enough to serve on a special occasion I enjoy black, green and oolongs in that order, but this
one is special.
Really loved the subtle flavor of this oolong. I think the description is accurate but again, the flavor is not going to be as strong as black tea if you have never had oolong before.
Eh, not my favorite, it was almost creamy in how it felt drinking it.
Really enjoyed this tea. as much as id like to drink this one all day i wont because its pricey.
This tea is amazing. Every now and then I come across a rare tea or tea blend that strikes me as almost magical. That's how I would describe the subtle, yet lovely, milky taste in the background of this tea.
I know the description already reads 'buttery' and 'creamy,' but I'll reiterate them here. I was very surprised by just how strongly these flavors came through. Absolutely wonderful tea, and a good one to resteep a couple of times. This one is worth the price.
Very smooth oolong. Cuts down on the typical flowery taste of other oolongs.
Wasn’t as milky as I thought it was going to taste. I will try adding more tea and steeping at 185 F for 2-3 mins
Nice Oolong tea but not one of my favorites. May purchase again.
A very nice, mild oolong that brews to a lovely golden color.
tasted like a regular oolong tea, not sure what else to write
This tea has become a personal favorite of mine. It is smooth and soft on my throat and stomach. It also enriches me with relaxation. Too bad they only have the sample variety here. I hope they order more of these in bigger sizes so I can buy a bigger ounce. :)
No joke this really tastes like it has milk in it. I don't like milk so it didn't thrill me. If you like milk in your tea, then you will love it!
This tea is nice for multiple infusions. Overall it tastes a bit too green for me.
Creamy, mild, delicious. Could see this becoming a staple tea for me to keep around. Really enjoy it.
A good milk oolong. Creamy texture but lovely sweet, floral flavour
Not the best milk oolong i've tasted. Republic of Tea's teabags i can reseep like 3-4x's & still have that milky, smooth taste. I can even leave it in the hot water w/o bitterness. Adagio's teabags not so much flavor w/ reseeps. I would probably have to get the leaves for more flavor w/ reseeps. But i got the teabags b/c it's faster to make it for my 18oz thermos for work & ROT's cannister is more financially practical, if i want a lot of this particular blend in stock in my kitchen. If you like oolong, you should try Milk oolong even 1x, it's not your usual tea. Most teas don't have a milky resemblance on your tongue, not green, white or black. Smoothness, yes, but similar to dairy milk, no. Very unique & lactose free!
Very smooth, clean flavor. Really enjoyed this one! Perfect tea. Honestly, probably my favorite and the second steep is the best.
Maybe I m not as much of a tea snob as I thought because milk isn t the word I d use to describe this tea. Please know that this tea is delicious... but creamy smooth... no. I realize that the experiences and sensory interpretations of flavors and scents vary incredibly so take this with whatever sized grain of salt you d like. Would I order it again? No. Why? Because there are other Oolongs I enjoy more, but that isn t to say this isn t a nice tea. BTW- i did multiple steeps... 3, then 4 and then 5 minutes at ~200F.
This oolong is the best I've ever had. It's a very mellow, and yes, milky flavor. No bitter or dry after taste like other reviewers have mentioned. If you want to try a pure leaf tea, but aren't sure where to start, this is a great tea for beginners
This is an excellent tea. It has a complex nutty flavour with sweet and earthy notes. It has a mild acidity and even a bit of an astringent aspect to it. There is some flavour I can't discern that makes it even more pleasant; it is somewhat akin to sesame seeds. It has a floral aroma and a greenish-golden liquor. I can't praise this tea highly enough! I'd recommend this to anyone.
