Milk Oolong Customer Reviews

An oolong tea prized for its inherent cream and butter notes. Lower quality versions enhance these notes through aromatization. Ours is a true Milk Oolong, with slightly roasted leaves that yield a light-bodied cup with sweet buttery texture and delicate floral aroma.

I'm a HUGE fun of Milk Oolong and most of the time I order it directly from China. Unfortunately, this tea has nothing to do with Oolong that i order from abroad.

I’d never tried milk oolong before, and I was pleasantly surprised!

My absolute favorite oolong. It's such a treat to watch the pearls open up into the full leaf, and this is just a beautiful, nuanced cup of tea

This tea is very smooth. It has a milky flavor that adds some weight to it, but in a very good way.

★★★★★

Lovely tea, milder flavor, a bit different from traditional oolong. Not as fragrant as expected, on the lighter side.

★★★☆☆

This tea was super mild and the flavor really delicate, sometimes more so than a white tea. I only did one steep, but with oolong you can re-steep.

This was my first experience with Oolong. It took awhile to grow on me. I love the aroma, it reminds me of peony.

One of my favorite teas from Taiwan. Great milky flavor and phenomenal aroma. Highly recommended!

★★★★★

I liked the tea. I will order again. Thank you!!!

This is so smooth one of my favorites. Second seeping for me is the best. You can go three just let seep longer.

★★★★☆

This was quite mild with a buttery mouth feel. I would definitely get this again

This oolong tea has a delicate flavor, which is part of its charm. It does well if you accidentally let it steep for a long time.

★★★★★

An excellent oolong good for two or three steepings. Refreshing with no bitterness. Easy to drink frequently.

★★★★☆

Delicious oolong tea although not my favorite. Not too earthy. Not too herbal.

The flavor of this tea is really delicate. I did get a milky note and it was a pleasant tea to sip. Oolongs are not an everyday choice for me. This is good on a day when you have time to savor and resteep.

This is my favorite tea. I love oolong and the milk oolong has become my absolute favorite--to the point I don't want to try other ones. Adagio doesn't offer many oolongs, maybe because this one's so great?

★★★★★

This was absolutely delightful!! I would definitely get this again!!!

Is this a very, very good oolong? Absolutely. Is it better enough to warrant the price difference? I don't think so. I'd never turn a cup of this away, of course, but there are finer oolongs to be had.

This Milk Oolong is well balanced, delicate, and silky. It has quickly become a tea I want to drink daily.

Very floral even with multiple steeps. Good sipper throughout the afternoon when you want a little kick.

★★★★★

Light and refreshing with a very slight milky note. This oolong is unique and easy to drink hot or even room temperature. Well done

★★★☆☆

Meh. Lacks that 'flowery' taste I've come to love with most oolongs

I liked this oolong, but feel it's not something I would go out of my way to order again. I didn't really taste anything resembling a milky mouthfeel. Perhaps adding a splash of non-dairy creamer might rectify the discordance. An otherwise okay oolong.

I liked it the first brew, but liked it even better on the second brew!! It has such a mild smooth taste!!

★★★☆☆

It's very very mild, even oversteeping it. The flavor is good, a creamy typical oolong but it's not as harsh or strong as you'd expect. I prefer things a lot more assertive but this certainly has its place.

★★★★★

There are at least two ways to talk about this tea, both of which point to the same thing. One would be to say that the taste of this tea is 'subtle' while the other would be to say 'it doesn't have much flavor.' I prefer to say that it is subtle. Gentle. Calming. Restful. I really like this tea and appreciate the opportunity to sample it. Steeped 2 minutes at 195F.

CommuniTEA review: I don’t like plain teas. Maybe it’s because I grew up on Lipton and Celestial Seasonings variety packs, but pure tea just isn’t for me.

It’s warm, comforting, and smooth. I’m missing the “milky” part but I understand the buttery part. It’s not offensive at all, it’s just not what I like.

I was very impressed. I've heard of milk oolong for a long time and always wanted to try it. It starts off as grassy as it would but finishes so smooth and creamy.

★★★★☆

Very nice, I wish I had a yixing pot to steep in. Delicate leafs unfurl from tight wound green solid balls. The liquor did trick me, I felt it's faint sunset horizon tint was an indication that I hadn't steeped long enough to be flavorful. I was wrong, delicate, smooth tea sips without astringency is what I experienced. I did steep a second cup, a bit longer than the three minutes. All the leaves opened up and held up well. I actually think the second cup was more fulfilling for me. A lovely tea.

I feel my lack of knowledge on how best to brew pearl-style teas may be a factor in this. I'm eager to try a second brew of it. It does have a very delicate, soft flavor and mouthfeel and a gold liquor that's so pale I worried I wouldn't be able to taste it! But that isn't the case, it's just very... very shy.

★★★★★

This is one of my favorite teas with its warm roasted aroma but soft flavor. It feels creamy as you drink it. Very cozy and comforting.

Review for: 12/18/24 ~ FIVE stars! ~ I have greatly enjoyed Milk Oolong and can now detect that creamy-milk taste & butter-y feel wonder--by adjusting my temp to 190° for 2 mins!

This is a pleasant oolong tea, and I don't think that I'm normally an oolong fan. I wouldn't say that it tastes like milk (maybe very subtly), but it does taste good.

A smooth, buttery oolong that tastes similar to a green tea. I noticed when this cools down, it has a more grassy/ bitterness taste.

This one surprised me- not at all what I expected- but really love it!
I wasn’t expecting it to be so delicate. It’s like it’s between green and oolong.
I steeped at 195 the first time, it was yummy. Because it’s on the greener side, I did a second at 180- which I enjoyed even more.
I couldn’t detect the milk note until it cooled a bit. When I did though- woah what complexity, yet so delicate!

Mild, lighter flavor that isn't too much of anything.

Milk oolong is a smooth, light oolong. Still has a lot of flavor after steeping multiple times.

★★★★☆

Nice tea. I don’t really think it’s very “milky”, but it’s very mellow. I like it unsweetened without creamer.

perfect. no notes. i oversteep it, re-steep it, drink it black, drink it with sugar, drink it with cream - it does not matter. it is always perfect.

★★★★★

I'm kind of new to teas but this a creamy mouth feel mild tea. Nice flavor. One of my new favorites.

★★★★★

Delicious and Very smooth buttery taste with a nice green crispness that shows freshness and adds to tasting experience. I have searched for a good milk green oolong but always tasted horrible rancid spoiled milk taste from other tea company's.for many years. Stupid me with egg on my face, because adagio had it for many years but I was too afraid to try. .

i like this tea!! it's a nice, smooth oolong that I enjoyed drinking. however, it was just on the edge of bitter for me, and I didn't really understand why the price point was so high for a tea I didn't find exceptional. maybe it's just not for me!

★★★☆☆

Was hoping to have more milk and butter notes than what came through in this tea. Some bitterness overpowered.

Milk oolong is not my thing. I’m sure it’s a fantastic tea, so many love this one. I just prefer darker oolongs.

This tea had a very delicate taste where even though I brewed it an extra minute, it didn't taste like much to me. Brewed with 1 packet Slenda forn4 minutes about 195.

Love this tea! Gentle and smooth with milky notes. The texture gets more dense as it settles in the cup and begins to cool, as if cream has magically appeared in the cup. One of my favorites from the CommuniTEA!
