A delicious taste of maple syrup in the fall. The creme makes it very smooth!

★★★★☆

I don’t normally like anything with maple but this blend is delicious. The oolong is so smooth and the maple cream is subtle and sweet. Very nice blend. 190° for 5 minutes.

While I liked the maple cream, I was not a fan of it with an oolong base. But then, oolong is not a favorite kind of tea.

★★★★☆

Nice tea. Although the dry tea smells strongly of maple, the steeped tea is balanced nicely by the cream flavor. Better sweetened slightly.

Wonderfully delicious tea! The creme tones down the maple so that it is not too sweet. Sweet enough for a treat with breakfast, I’d say!

Mmmmmm…. Reminds me of French toast without all the carbs! Very pleasant maple flavoring.

As others have noted, this is incredible with a hint of real maple syrup.

This is a lightly spiced maple tea. It's delicious with a bit of heavy cream.

This tea has a pretty strong maple flavour. It tastes like maple cookies. I'm not actually a huge fan of maple flavour so I didn't enjoy it too much, but I'm sure if you're a maple fan, you'll like this tea.

Being from New England I can’t help the warm and homey feelings I get when I smell maple. No disappointment when I opened this packets. I added a littl e maple syrup to sweeten and the addition of a bit of cream to make it perfect

Not as maple flavored as I was hoping, but still a very good, almost sweet cup.

A great tea love the maple flavor (190 @3min.) great job!

This tea is polarizing for me. When I am in the mood for it, it is fabulous! When I am not, just the smell of it turns me away. This tea has a strong maple cinnamon smell. The maple carries over to the taste and blends with a smoky, light warm spice flavor. Not a tea I would have daily but one I find to be quite enjoyable on occasion.

Love maple, love cream, so of course love this tea! Added a bit of grade A maple syrup to sweeten it up just a bit. Lovely afternoon tea when you want a sweet treat. Smooth, creamy, and delicious. The maple and the spices balance so well and compliment each other. Steeped 200° for 4 mins. Cheers!

This was just okay; it smells much more like maple than it tastes. The flavor is actually quite mild. It’s fine but I wouldn’t have it again.

I love the flavor of this tea! The smell is stronger than the taste, but even so, it makes for a delicious cup. I love how smooth and full-bodied it is without being super high caffeine.

Creamy, spiced maple goodness! This tea is very smooth and has some sweetness to it. I added a splash of maple syrup to it - perfection!

Love the terrific maple flavor in this creamy and gently spiced oolong. Just right for sipping in front of a fire and glancing out at trees changing color. Smooth buttery oolong is a perfect tea base to allow the maple taste to truly shine. The creme and spice accents are well balanced and don't overwhelm. What a wonderful autumn sip this is!

My CT packet had 3g/ 2 ½ tsp of heavenly maple scented tea with all ingredients. The bright orange safflowers add a dash of fall color to the brown tea leaves and spice bits. Brewed a flavorful 12 oz. cup at 195*F for 5 min. Then added a bit of maple syrup and honey to elevate flavors even more. The tawny brown liquor was gone in a flash and so was a resteep of 6 oz. Really enjoyed this tasty tea on such a chilly day.

The smell of maple absolutely filled my office when I opened the packet. The aroma was intense! The flavor was much more muted but still pleasant. I made a key error when brewing by not letting the water cool before adding the leaves to steep and again, letting the steeped tea cool to draw out more flavor. I have a sample size of this as well, and look forward to drawing out a better tea that I know is in there!

Tried as a CommuniTEA sample. I don't really care for maple. It's mild in this tea especially when cream is added. It's tolerable but not one I'd buy.

If I was sipping this hoping for it to be strongly maple flavored, I would be disappointed - it just isn't a very prominent note. However, this is a very smooth and well rounded blend, and I love the toasty notes the oolong has. This is a great one to sip while reading.

This tea is fantastic. The oolong is smooth, with no bitterness or astringency that I could detect. The maple and creme flavors blend beautifully into a tea that is even a little sweet on its own, and I can tell that if I sweetened it, this would be a decadent dessert tea. Absolutely delicious. I followed the recommendations of other reviewers and brewed at 200F for 4 minutes, and it was perfect.

The spices blend well with the maple in this tea and create a warm cup of comfort. I added some sweetener and a splash of cream.

Sweet maple scents peeked out of the packet, enticing me to make this tea a day early! Steeping at 212°F for 3 minutes created a golden amber colored tea.

Maple and caramelized flavors are prevalent throughout each cup. Some mild spices mingle with autumnal oolong tea. A touch of smooth creaminess accents the maple flavors well, alongside some semi-sweet apple flavors.

A very nice 'dessert' tea that works well with a sweet maple breakfast or brunch too!

10/29/21; This is hands down one of my favorite teas from Adagio. Still great a year later, and every time I drink it.

This is a very pleasant tea that is absolutely perfect for those sweet cravings. Steeped at 190 degrees F for 3 minutes, with a second steep for 3 minutes and 30 seconds. Maple flavor is very prominent in my CommuniTea pack.

I was hoping this would taste more like maple syrup--I'm getting more cinnamon, cardamom and creme flavor than maple, I think. Well, it is still a pleasant, lightly spiced and mildly sweet tea.

This tea is amazingly fragrant and sweet, and adding some sugar takes it to the next level! I will agree that 200F for 4 minutes is the way to go. Oolongs tend to be bitter, and a cooler temp really keeps it mellow and lets the flavor shine! A delectable treat for sure.

Some teas, there's just no comparison between Adagio and other teamakers. This is a one-of-a-kind taste, so delicious I wish I could sip it for hours instead of the normal timespan it takes to drink a cup. I've left the empty CommuniTea packet open in my office so I can smell this delicious scent while I work. Unbelievably delicious.

Update 10/29/21: my thoughts haven’t changed.

I feel like I would have liked this a bit more if it didn't have cinnamon in it. It does taste like maple, though not in the way that it smells like maple. With the cinnamon, it feels more like it's going for a french toast thing, and the creme doesn't come through much at all because of that.

Makes a superb breakfast tea. All the flavors meld together in a delightful way. Nothings stands out too much and it is a smooth blend. 195 , 5 min. I’m always excited to come across a tea that doesn’t require additional additives, drank this one plain.

Hints of warm spices and maple and brown sugar flavor in a toasty oolong. This is very nice and none of the flavors are overbearing.

Over the years I've ended up with a few different maple teas, and they're all some degree of delicious. But this maple creme oolong takes the (pan)cake. Maybe it's the addition of the creme, or maybe it's the fact that an oolong is the base, or maybe Adagio is just really really good at making 'natural maple flavoring', or maybe it's all of the above. Whatever it is, this tea is the best maple tea I've ever had. It's absolutely scrumptious.

Update 10/29/21:
I tried this again today with CommuniTea. I had a sample in my stash and made a big pot of this to enjoy all morning. My review is the same as below but recommend brewing at 200 and I steeped for 4 mins.
Someone mentioned this tea in the CommuniTea chat one day, so I ordered a sample size. The aroma reminds me of pancake breakfasts. The taste is smooth and creamy . The maple taste is not overpowering and is just right . Should have ordered a bigger bag !

A very maple tea both in smell and flavor! I'm not the biggest fan of maple so I preferred this with cream.

Sipping along with the CommuniTEA: Yummy, comforting combination of gingerbread and cinnamon rolls fragrance from the dry ingredients and packet. Once steeped for 3 mins at 190°F, I notice the oxidized oolong tea notes appearing along with close, cinnamon, and cardamom spices from my cup. When I take a sip, I enjoy a subtle cup of warming spices with a sweet maple, cinnamon and cream lingering finish. This is way I think this tea should taste. Excellent cup when the maple flavor is not overpowering the other ingredients and tea.

20 Oct 20 communiTEA review: communiTEA tasting note: I already have this one on the shelf. My original 20 Aug 20 purchased review (below) was for a three minute steep at 212ºF. I had since found that 4 minutes @ 200ºF provided a better drink by lowering any tea bitterness from higher temperature steeps (like some blacks & dark oolongs.) I continue to really enjoy this one in moderation, that is. Today’s packet was more cinnamon forward with less, but pleasant maple flavors noted. However, it has an intense flavor profile that defines “dessert tea!”

Really pleasant maple flavors were noted in the bag. When hot, maple flavors were mild. So I added 1/4 tsp sugar to intensify this. When warm, the oolong combined with the creme to provide smooth buttery tastes. Cinnamon came through nicely without being in-your-face. The maple came forward and worked with others to present me with the tastes of a buttery maple syrup covered slice of French toast. Very nice indeed!

This is the perfect fall treat. I love the roasty nature of a darker oolong and the type used here works as a perfect platform for these seasonal flavors. The cinnamon and maple and creme flavorings are oh so delicious as a compliment to the almost smokey nature of the oolong. The cardamom adds a rich note. I added maple syrup, as recommended, and holy cow that is something special in my cup. It is like having drenched french toast in liquid form. It’s dessert or breakfast for dinner without the calories and I have no complaints about that! I will keep this one in my rotation for sure! Happy Sipping!

This tea is very, very smooth with no bitteress or astringency. It is maple flavored without being overwhelmingly maple (although the smell of the dry tea is VERY maple-y). The maple, oolong, spices and creme merge together into one perfectly cohesive flavor. With sugar it really does taste like maple syrup (I recommend adding sugar). Adding milk makes it ultra-smooth but isn't necessary since it is such a smooth tea already. (3 min @ 200)

Yummy oolong blend with the flavor of maple syrup and a bit of creme flavor to round it ll off. Steeped for 4 mins @ 180°. The aroma is just like maple syrup covered pancakes. This blend is a balanced smooth cup of tea with delicious flavor, without being overbearingly sweet. Loved it!
