Jade Oolong Customer Reviews

Lightly oxidized oolong from Nantou county, Taiwan. Similar in style to Tung Ting, its tightly rolled leaves slowly unfurl through several steepings. Jade oolong is loved for its fresh green-floral aroma, sweet flavor, and delicate texture.

One of my favorite go-to's. Tastes like blooming magnolia trees.

Nice and smooth, this quickly became an everyday tea.

A lovely oolong tea! I am drinking my first steep hot, and I will ice the second steep.

This is not my favorite tea from CommuniTEA, it was ok but not something I’ll add to my stash.

I like it hope it stays on sale. I would like to drink more of this tea.

Mellow oolong tea. Needs to be steeped a little longer than recommended in my opinion.

The flavor is so incredibly light that I felt I was drinking plain hot water.

Definitely would consider buying this one. I freaking love oolong, and this one is excellent.

Never fear my fellow green drinkers, this tea may smell dark but it's still quite nice.

I like green teas, but this one was extremely light? I even steeped it a bit longer than the package said to. It wasn't bad but just wasn't a very strong flavor (tasted almost like drinking straight water).

Seconding the reviewer who said this tea rewards a brewing with slightly higher temp and longer steep time than Adagio's official recommendation. About 185°F and four minutes seems to be the ideal. Good for 3 steepings. Flavorful but not intensely so. I have enough favorite oolongs, greens, and whites that I can't see going out of my way to acquire more of this, but it was a lovely way to wake up all the same.

Really smooth with some toasty flavor, without being too grassy. Relaxing to watch the leaves unfurl.

Really excellent oolong. Very light in flavor, but sweet, floral, and easy to drink.

I am really developing a love for oolong tea, and this Jade Oolong is absolutely delightful! Fresh, floral, and very smooth, it’s one I would definitely recommend to others!

Sweet and smokey. Lighter than I expected from an oolong but really good.

Oh, wow! I love this tea! I decided to try it iced, and am not disappointed. It's very bright, and not at all bitter. I wish I'd tried it sooner.

I really like this tea! Following others' advice I am on my 3rd steeping of my CommuniTea sample to get every drop I can out of it. Delicious, no sweetener needed, no bitterness.

Oolongs are usually not my favorite, but this one is pretty nice! Very light.

Oolongs are not a favorite, but this one is pretty alright. It has a mild, floral flavor and is very smooth. Not a tea I would chose on my own, but I wouldn’t dread it if it was offered to me.

This one steeps super light, like I was waiting for the water to darken, but it stayed really lightly colored, almost barely. I steeped for 4 mins, and plan to try for an additional steeping. This one is just okay in my opinion, its a very faint roasty flavor, nothing too overpowering, very light all around.
Also tried this as a cold brew iced tea, it has a nice lightness to the body and the flavor is a bit between a slightly grassy with a hint of floral to it, and its nice.

This is a tea good with American Chinese food. It is a bit grassy so not a favorite of mine.

Clean, lightly floral. The first time through I'm noticing a mineral edge in the aroma. Another delicious oolong adventure!

“ Very enjoyable lite flavor and floral aroma. Nice and clean. Leaves a buttery feel in your mouth. This one’s a three-steeper and keeper! Hot rinsed leaves for 15 secs prior to the 1st steep to awaken the leaves. No sweetening needed. (3 mins @ 175F)”

The best part of oolong tea is watching the leaves unfold. Flavor wise it’s much to grassy and I don’t like the aroma.

I enjoyed today's Jade hot, but it is also very good iced--a nice change-up from the usual iced black teas. Dry leaf has a nice grassy scent, steeped tea is light and leans floral. Always fun to watch the tight leaves unfurl in the hot water.

This isn't a tea I would drink all the time, but I may start to buy a sample every so often. There's a simplicity about it I like!

Not the best oolong, but overall a great taste to it.

★★★★☆

It has a nice Jasmine element to it. Learning Oolong isn t my cup of tea.

This is such a delicious brew, and a nice break from the Formosa oolongs that I typically favor. It has a vegetal/marine flavor. Don't toss these leaves after a single infusion, as they're good for at least 3 infusions, and each infusion changes just a bit. A delightful cuppa!

★★★★★

Such a smooth enjoyable smooth green tea. Worth the cost.

(First infusion): Fresh, bright & tasty. Floral aroma, like walking through your garden in Spring. Beautiful example of this style of oolong - this will be one of my staple teas.

Lovely classic oolong tea, I like to drink it in the morning or afternoon for a subtle earthy flavor

I like the flavor. It is tea with nothing else added the way I like it.

I LOVE this tea. great for first time tea makers. It has the right amount of caffeine for me. 10/10 would recommend.

★★★★★

Good oolong, but it requires 4 grams of tea per 6 oz of water as opposed to your standard 2 grams per 6 oz of water. With that said, it compensates for its lack of boldness with it’s ability to endure a second and third brew.

This is my favorite oolong. I end up brewing it hotter than the recommended temp because my kettle doesn't have a thermostat and it gets hot very quickly, but there's no bitterness even with a hotter brew. It maintains its flavor well for several infusions.

I'm really happy with it. It tastes good hot. I haven't tried it cold. One thing i like about it is that i can steep it more than once.

Definitely enjoyable if you're into lighter tea flavors. It was delicious, a very textbook example of oolong tea flavor, but it was really light for me, as I Iike my teas strong. Itis my understanding that "Jade" flavors are usually lighter, and this one was no exception. Not a bad tea by any means, just prefer it a little stronger.

This Oolong tea is very tasty and flavorful, I mixed it with the white peach tea to add some fruity flavor to the floral essence.

I made the tea exactly as directed. I liked the subtle finish and the pleasing aroma after it's seeped. However, I was disappointed overall because there just wasn't enough full flavor. Too subtle for me, but probably good for people who like a very mild taste.
