Jade Oolong Customer Reviews

Lightly oxidized oolong from Nantou county, Taiwan. Similar in style to Tung Ting, its tightly rolled leaves slowly unfurl through several steepings. Jade oolong is loved for its fresh green-floral aroma, sweet flavor, and delicate texture.

★★★★☆

very nice neutral oolong. . . . . .. . . . . . . .

★★★★★

First oolong I have tried. It is a very good tea. Great flavors.

★★★★★

A beautifully done oolong. Subtle but not too much so.

This is my first Oolong tea. I will be reordering this one.

★★★★★

By far, my favorite tea... pure in its natural form. I do not dare disturb nature by adding anything but hot water for brewing.

★★★★★

Delicate, delicious, floral. This tea is a go-to for me.

Too much green tea; not enough Oolong favor. Maybe the 'Jade' should have given that away.

★★★★★

Light sweet scent. Not seaweedey like typical green tea. Tastes like what you think the color green would taste like. That makes no sense. Lots of oils thicken up the water some in a good way.

Reminds me of a tin quan in. Floral. Not overly grassy. Pleasant oolong tea.

★★★★★

a great simple oolong that is slightly vegetal, but not grassy

★★★★★

Very nice green tea. Plenty of flavor for a green tea without being obnoxious to the taste buds. Its a great tea to have in the evening after supper for a nice relaxing 'nite cap'.

★★★★☆

Wonderfully fragrant with a pleasant clean taste.

★★★★★

Amazing tea! I did not expect an oolong tea to have such a floral front end. It drinks very smooth. Overall very enjoyable.

★★★★☆

Pleasant tea subtle and smooth. I brewed right off boil for a full 5 minutes. Certainly a nice tea and worth a sample, but Ali Shan remains my favorite.

★★★★☆

I'm new to Oolong's so I'm not sure what the 'norm' is. However this tea is pretty good. It has a slightly oily yet floral, herbaceous flavour and smell to it. Light and refreshing yet somehow medium bodied! Would buy again!

Full sample pack cold brewed in 1.5Q/1.5L of room temp water.

★★★★★

solid oolong tea, Floral, buttery and smooth. Great stuff.

★★★★★

This is a smooth, light-flavored tea. Doesn’t need any sweetener or cream. I love watching the leaves unfurl as it brews.

★★☆☆☆

Pretty standard flavor - nice floral taste. Not my favorite but worth the sample.

★★★★★

Ordered and reordered. I love this tea. I crack this out when friends come over.

★★★★★

Probably my favorite oolong from this site. It is so buttery and deep and complex, and it holds up very well to resteeping multiple times. I do suggest using a container large enough to allow the rolled bits to unfold and expand to get the best out of it.

Very flavorful tea. I mixed this with the citrus mate.

★★★★★

Flavorful but not overbearing, getting lighter with each subsequent infusion, this is a quality oolong! I tried Golden Flower before this one, which has a much stronger (but lovely!) taste and fragrance, so this is like a milder version. A great tea for relaxing with some soft music

This is one of the best teas I've ever had! Simply delightful, with a tantalizing fragrance and subtle, delicate sweetness that makes you keep coming back for more. My family was equally pleased, so I elected to brew a whole pot to share... and then made three more because we kept running out! I was able to steep one serving four times before I felt like it needed to be replaced, and simply increased the brew time for 2 minutes each time. One heaping tablespoon of the tea, 180-ish degrees, for 6 minutes (then 8, 10, and 12 minutes, respectively) made a truly delightful pot of green tea. I highly recommend trying this for yourself!

This is simply my favorite tea. When I discovered those wonderful unfurling leaves I was amazed. The aroma was so unexpectedly floral and the taste was far more complex than any teas I had had before. Granted this was one of my first ventures into tea that wasn t bought at the grocery store... but it will always be my favorite.

Probably one of my favorite oolong teas! So flavorful!

★★★★★

I am barely into the long list of options for Oolong teas on this site, but I found this choice to be a really good one. Why do I like it? I like my tea on the stronger side, but not at the expense of it being too bitter. This tea meets that expectation even when I tend to add a wee bit more tea leaves and let it steep a wee bit longer than probably most would think is acceptable. The end result is a strong cup of very smooth Oolong greatness.

★★★★★

Yet another amazing option for your oolong cravings!

★★★★★

Fantastic tea! I have found extending the first steeping time by a minute or two really makes the floral flavor come through a little more. This is an excellent tea, and can be steeped multiple times with excellent results.

This tasted like molasses. I really liked Golden Flower oolong and was delighted to try this but it did not work for me at all. Too sweet.

★★★★★

A lovely tea with great scent and flavor. A nice relaxing floral that's not overpowering. Perfect for an afternoon pick me up.
Update: This may be my new favorite tea.

★★★☆☆

I was not a big fan of this one. It seems it is lacking flavor.

★★★★★

Purchased this as a gift for a friend who is a fan of Oolong tea. She said it was the best Oolong she's ever had!

★★★★☆

A nice oolong overall. Not my favorite but better than many oolongs from other vendors. Provides a nice contrast to traditional green teas.

★★★★★

Delicious, perfect for a mid afternoon pick me up.

Has a nice green tea like taste. Gets bitter fast if steeped for too long.

Very pleasant, light taste. I usually mix this with jasmine pearls.

I love my tea strong, that said sometimes I just want a light airy feel in my mouth and this is just that. Once steeped it has a light floral scent, the flavor not too floraly (if that's even a word) lol. Soooooo gooood!

Exactly what I look for in a Jade Oolong. This is a very good tea that I will be drinking regularly.

★★★★★

Smells great! Taste great! I am newer to Oolong teas and found this one to be on point-- Adagio always delivers great products, I would buy this one again.

A great smooth Oolong that is perfect for after meals.

The first time I tried this oolong, I brewed it as recommended; 180 degrees for 3 minutes. It wasn't very exciting or super flavorful to my taste. After the bumping the temperature up to 185 and brewing for 4 minutes however, the second and third cups were deliciously deeper in flavor as the leaves continued to unfurl and release their goodness. This is a very pleasant oolong and I will most likely purchase more.

Excellent tea. Happy to have tried it. Would buy again.

★★★★★

This has become my second choice when making my morning tea. The flavor is most pleasant to me because it is not a strong tasting tea.

★★★★★

This is a delicate, kind of floral, green-ish oolong. Aroma is beautiful and the flavor matches. One of my favorite oolongs to date.

★★★★★

This one is another favorite of mine. Wonderful blend.

★★★★★

I really like this tea but I generally adore green/jade oolongs. I suggest you try Golden Flower as well since it may hit a similar spot at a fraction of the cost.

This is such a good tea. It is very subtle and has just enough flavor! I will probably get this again.

Well balanced, great color and taste. Try it with a touch of honey, for a good sleep or simply to enjoy during the day!
