I m not sure if this is my favorite or the golden flower. This oolong is definitely delicious, satisfying, and relaxing. I had to update my review because I am currently using my kyusu to drink this tea. One small teaspoon has given me multiple infusions and so far (on my fourth cup) hast just as much umami and deliciousness as my first steep!
★★★★★
A tasty sip. I can taste the florals, but not too overpowering. Was a nice change from my regular strong tea choices. Will definitely try it iced, as well.

This is my go-to everyday Oolong tea. It's not as floral as some of the others, but good for any occasion.

One of my absolute faves for iced tea and works well cold brew. Has such a light refreshing taste and needs no sweetener at all. Has light refreshing taste of an herbal but has some caffeine. Can’t get enough of it.

This is an excellent tea with beautiful leaves that unfurl!

This is a pretty good Oolong tea. I've had a better but this is pretty good.

There is a fresh green floral scent prior to steeping. The fragrance is soothing as I sip the tea. The flavor is crisp and clean in my mouth. This is very refreshing and I am catching a hint of sweetness, not sure why. Lovely.

Well my first cup I think I burnt so I tried it again and this is a light color tea and not a lot of flavor for me. I like deep flavor teas.

This is a pleasant evening nutty oasis at the end of a long day. A little earthy but not TOO much. Just, really nice, what you expect.

Perfect iced for a sunny summer afternoon, on the hammock in the shade, with a touch of honey to sweeten the deal.

Very nice Oolong tea, It had a very strong flavor.

This is a good tea if you want a lighter oolong with a pleasant green taste.

This was a genuinely fantastic cup of tea. Mild, faintly sweet, with a really smooth mouthfeel, it was just a really enjoyable experience. I might have to order this one. I like green teas and oolong teas, and this was like the best of both things had a baby that was even better. I definitely recommend giving it a try.

This one had a nice scent. Smooth & floral, but it wasn't a heavy handed floral. A lil vegetal. The perk for me of course is watching the leaves unfurl as they steeped. I love this quality of rolled teas. This one also lasted a good 3 steeps.

I love the variety in oolong tea! This one is a lot like green tea. It is fresh and fragrant as a dry tea of little rolled ball shapes. They unfurl to rather large leaves when steeped, resulting in a light green tea with a buttery smooth flavor that lingers on the palate. I enjoyed this tea without any sweetener, and was able to get several steeps from the packet.

Delightful floral scent that reminds me of a bouquet of flowers. Very enjoyable tea and as a bonus it holds up to multiple steeps!

Today's CommuniTea is jade oolong from Taiwan. I love how large the leaves are as they unfurl. I definitely want to get more of this to experiment a bit. Very pleasant to drink, especially after a very long day. (Brewed in 12 ounces of 180F water for 2 minutes.)

A delicious, light oolong that is close to a green tea. It is definitely on the green end of the oolong spectrum. It’s slightly sweet, vegetal, and smooth. A quick rinse to open the leaves helps bring out the depth of flavor.

A mellow and smooth oolong with a light sweetness and floral notes
★★★★★
This tea was light, floral and lovely. It is also a tea that would not play well with a small infuser. When I poured it out of the CommuniTea packet it didn't even cover the bottom of my infuser. After brewing my infuser was 3/4 full of unfurled leaves. Proof positive that some teas need room to grow!

Jade can refer to both a mineral and a plant; this tea seems to exhibit qualities of both. The dry leaves unfurl into an exceptional brew. Exuding plant-like qualities, the aroma is lightly floral and the taste mirrors that with subtle floral notes. Other comparisons to jasmine tea are valid; this does call to mind jasmine but not in an overhanded way. Like a polished ornamental piece, though, the mouthfeel is smooth and clean. It has a slight natural sweetness, so no sweetener is necessary. That said, it does take honey well, as I added some - merely out of curiosity - on my third steep, which was just as flavorful as the first. Somehow, this tea managed to remind me of a nice white wine and was just as refreshing, even hot, on a warm day as a glass of said wine would be. A fascinating brew indeed. (4+ minutes at 175F)

Light and delicate, but tasted more like a green tea than an oolong. My personal preference leans more toward the black oolongs. (Reviewed through CommuniTEA; 3 min @ 180F)

I accidentally steeped this tea incorrectly, for 6 minutes with water nearly boiling. It was surprisingly good anyway, a tad perfume-esque even though it isn't floral and buttery smooth. It's very 'green' tasting. I tried a resteep for 4 minutes which was similar, but weaker and less buttery. I'd definitely drink this again.

This is such a smooth oolong! It has a buttery mouthfeel with no astringency nor bitterness. There is no seaweed, asparagus water nor grassy taste. This is a great cuppa!

Another oolong, another cup of tea that tastes like boiled hay. I'll pass.

I am surprised by how much I liked this tea, given that I do not usually like oolongs. But this one is lighter, with a more green flavor, and that made it a quite enjoyable cup.

Adagio recommends brewing this tea for 3 — 5 minutes at 180 degrees. I chose to lean on the lighter side for my first cup and brewed for 3 minutes. Leaves do unfurl some while steeping, but still remained fairly curly for my cup. This was a very light oolong and could be an excellent introduction to new oolong drinkers and to gongfu brewing.

This is a great oolong. The color is very light, the flavor is subtle and smooth. A great go-to oolong.

Fresh, green flavor in this tea. I accidently over steeped my first cup (by about 15 minutes). Other than being cold, it was still quite tasty!

I followed Jim’s advice and did a 15 second rinse to open the leaves. This tea is classically beautiful. I was able to enjoy several steepings from my CommuniTEA packet. This one is a must try if you enjoy oolong tea. Happy sipping!

Today's packet contained tightly curled Jade Oolong tea leaves that smelled like slightly sweet greens with a hint of floral aromas.
The VelociTEA maker seemingly made this one a simple white tea button press to steep for 3 mins at 180°F. However, the tea produced was a very light translucent green, almost too light. I peeked into the steeping basket to find some leaves hadn't fully unfurled yet. So, I scooped up the leaves into a floating steep basket and dropped it in to add another minute of steep time. Afterwards, the tea was a much more vibrant hue of yellow green.
The first sip was as silky smooth as a milk oolong, but with more vegetal green qualities. Fresh buttery greens give way into a very mild green tea astringency in the finish. Hints of floral aromas peek out between layers of silky smooth greens with a lightly sweet yet still clean and dry finish. It shares the smooth mouthfeel of a milk oolong, yet with much less grassy flavors. This one's a really contemplative slow sip, just like a milk oolong.
What a delightful calming tea this one is! It steeps multiple times, each one giving a lighter yet still appreciably flavorful green tea. Each subsequent steeping gets less silky as the tea oils are given up by the leaves, and what remains are more mineral and vegetal flavors. Still enjoyable, but if I had any extra I'd add teaspoon of fresh leaves to spruce it back up to its initial silky smooth quality. Definitely adding this one to my shelf once the milk oolong is used up.

Yet another oolong that really hits the spot! From the fresh smell opening the packet, to watching the leaves unfurl, to enjoying the subtle grassy flavors - I really like this tea! It verges on some qualities of green tea, yet balances nicely with the stronger persuasions of oolong.

What a lovely tea! I got four steeps from a single serving of leaves today, each one different from the last. The first produced a pale green-gold tea, the last was more of a pale orange-amber.
While the green, floral flavors evolved cup-by-cup, the constant was a lingering finish that, like many other reviews have noted, is almost buttery.
Given this tea again, I'd pour the hot water directly onto it, rather than steeping it in a little mesh ball. The large leaves would be easy to dodge while drinking, and watching them uncurl steep-by-steep would have been a treat!
This is a distinct, delicious tea with lots of character and variety in each steeping - if you're on the fence, buy it!

This tea was an unexpected pleasure to drink! Although I do enjoy oolongs, I usually have to be in the mood for one, but todays tea blew me away! The taste was lightly floral but not cloying at all, and had a buttery feeling that I have rarely seen before. Overall I LOVED this tea, so much, that even though I usually only do one steep, I actually did three. All three were amazing, this tea will go on my wishlist!

A very gentle oolong, a great introduction variety for newcomers to traditional oolong. It smells like the go-to scent for tea in perfumes and soaps, and it tastes very spinach-y and sweet, with a slight kiss of that floral fragrance that settles on the tongue.

taste slightly jasmine like but not nearly as potent. A extremely pleasant floral flavor that mixes well with the almost green tea like taste of this tea. Be careful I brewed for 5 minutes at 180 and it was overly astringent, would of been better at 3 minutes for sure.

It's an oolong tea more on the vegetal side, like a green tea. Use the lower temp to steep. The rolled leaves unfurling in the hot water is Visual ASMR. I sampled this tea as part of the CommuniTEA May 2021 box.

A fantastic brew from start to finish. Once you start sipping, you don't want to put it down until you finish the cup. It tends to the greener tastes of oolong, but the taste is so smooth it doesn't matter the slight hay taste.
Added to my wishlist immediately.

What a great tea and I tend to not like oolong and green teas so much. This has a nice subtle floral scent that just invites you to take a sip. Light delicate flavors provide a wonderful smooth tea. Slight honey like sweetness to this tea so no sweetener needed. Just a beautiful tea that is a wonder to watch and to taste. Slightly different flavors after each steep and I was able to steep 3 times. 180º for 2-3 mins.

I forgot to awaken my leaves with a hot rinse first, and as a result my first steep and second steep were very different. First steep (180 for 3 minutes): the leaves didn't completely unfurl. The tea was very light, clean, and floral, reminding me of a light jasmine flavor. Second steep (180 for 3 1/2 minutes): the leaves unfurled completely. This steep was much more vegetal and had a bit of astringency.
