Floral, sweet, and flavorful. I absolutely love this tea.
An oolong tea from the misty mountains of Anxi County in the Fujian region of China, with floral notes of honeysuckle and osmanthus.

Floral, sweet, and flavorful. I absolutely love this tea.
This has been out of stock and I am just able to reorder today. Really like this tea and am looking forward to enjoying and sharing it. Just sent my second pound to San Diego to my daughter. She is very picky, but really loves this tea. Very, very affordable, and very, very, good Update: I love to add a bit of grapefruit oolong to it, it's incredible. Love it plain as well and that's how I usually drink it, but not always! This is similar to jasmine, but lighter and milder.SO good
Oh, this tea is to die for! I love this tea. The subtle floral taste isn t overwhelming, and there s a smooth mouthfeel that lasts for several steeps. This tea is definitely going to become one of my regulars.
Not my favorite oolong I've ever had. The flavor lingers a little too much for my taste. But certainly not a bad cup of tea!
I got a sample of this and was pleasantly surprised.
This oolong reminds me of my childhood because of the honeysuckle flavor. If you grew up in the south you will enjoy this tea.
This is my first oolong and I'm discovering what changes it undergoes. First steep I get smoky and a tad bitter, second steep becomes a big perfumey floral, third steep I don't get much flavor at all. I don't think this one is really meant for me.
This is a very earthy oolong tea. It feels more like a strong green tea than anything else. Definitely worth it if you are a fan of this style of tea, but those expecting a mellow afternoon oolong might want to look elsewhere.
It's a tea with a very floral aromatic profile. At taste, it does not really change compared to the aromas, but it has a good length in the mouth. However, after the 3rd infusion of gong fu cha with a gaiwan, it tasted nothing.
Has a bit of Jade-like flavor, but not quite as strong
First time trying a low oxidation oolong and definitely want to explore more after trying this. The floral notes really make it.
This is my favorite oolong I've tried so far. The floral flavor is so good and not bitter or soapy. The description is quite accurate I must say. Definitely among my favorites! It's also good for a re-steep or two so it keeps on giving
It's like the Ali Shan I tried elsewhere. Very happy! Wouldn't guess it's the cheapest oolong, will order again.
One of my favorite teas! I love oolong tea, but the honeysuckle really makes it that much better. I relax with a cup of Golden Flower Oolong whenever I need some de-stressing.
Sent to a friend as a Christmas gift. Great quality tea
I love Golden Flower Oolong. In my cup it looks green tea-ish and tastes very light, almost like a golden green. Is you like green tea but feel the darker leaves are too strong, try this one. It’s a good stepping off point into oolong from green. It’s also easy to measure and easy to clean the tea basket due to being rolled and opening into large pieces. It’s clean and light and smooth. Try it!
I enjoyed this so much in the Oolong Portions Sampler that I had to order a 16oz bag. Golden Flower has a wonderful flavor and finish.
I typically prefer flavored teas, but this is a great choice when I want something straightforward. It's pleasantly floral and smooth. I especially love that it's like a green tea, but it's not easy to burn or oversteep!
a new flavor iv tried not the worst but i don't think i will be buying again.
A promising cup of tea for anyone. Great on its on, but also mixes well with others.
Nice green tasting notes with this tea. It was really nice to steep multiple times.
Normally I drink jade oolong but this has become my alternative when I'm looking for something a bit creamier. It's still sweet and floral but warmer instead of the crispness I find with Jade. Good for multiple steeps.
A gentle, pleasant, light cup. Definitely works with multiple steepings.
This is a gorgeous, very luxurious cup. I swear I tasted artichoke; and I mean that in a surprisingly complimentary way.
A lovely welcoming buttery warm tea with a light apricot after finish that is so light and crisp that you will crave more each sip! Small curled balls of wondrous leaves unfold as your delight is about to finish steeping. Golden Flower Oolong is grown at 600 meters above sea level in the misty mountains Anxi County in Fujian, China under its given name of Huang Jin Gui. It is a rolled leaf style, low oxidation oolong that offers sweet, floral notes of honeysuckle, osmanthus and a subtle creaminess. All this lingers and provides well for those who enjoy multiple infusions. Savor its lingering, layered nuances as an everyday, oasis of serenity tea. Good for 2-3 steeps!
Golden Flower is one of those classics that I always have on hand. It may be one of Adagio's more economical choices for oolongs but it holds its own with its unique flavor. Sweet, honey-like notes, light grassy taste, and buttery finish. The flavor really tends to blossom by the second brew. Perfect for any time of day and is also delicious iced as well.
Such a beautiful tea. As my brother would say, “It’s like drinking grass.” But in a very good way. Very delicious oolong. I would have pounds of this stuff if money were no object.
Very nice. First premium tea I’ve bought and I’m excited to try the next! I could tell the difference between this and twinnings green tea right off the bat. This one is a lot smoother and has a lot less astringency to it. Recommend for a first time buyer. Really neat to watch the leaves unroll and expand as well!
UPDATE: just ordered 16 oz of this. I tested Ali Shan and even an oolong from another site and realized this one was just as good as the others and I enjoyed it just as much.
My boyfriend was absolutely intrigued by this, he can't wait to try it!
This is my solid go to three steep budget oolong. It’s like a dependable and comforting friend, slightly floral with tireless earthy grass undertones and one I always look forward to seeing again.
Very fragrant and has a pleasant mellow green tea taste. Smells like Jasmine.
Good, not great. Its first steep is grassy, with a flavor of edamame and some savory undertones. The second steep was stronger, and brought out more notes of hickory, which I did not care for.
When you factor in the price with the overall quality, this is a great tea and it may become my new daily morning tea. It's not especially great, but it is very good, and you really can't beat this excellent price.
This highlights all the things I don't like about green tea.
Strong and yummy. Just don't oversteep it, it can be overwhelming
This sort of tea is the kind that's fun to watch steep, and nice to resteep. Light, delicate flavor. Very nice tea.
This tea is light yet full of flavor. Flowery and earthy.
Such a nice light flavor! I love it with a little sweetener
Very light and floral. Absolutely perfect. Definitely something I will be purchasing in the future.
I really liked this as part of my CommuniTEA box. The scent of this tea is very floral. I was able to steep it a second time without losing much of the flavor or scent.
Pleasant taste with nice flavors. Great with sweetener!
Leaves unfurled and turned the water into a pretty golden color. Taste wise it’s floral and earthy in a rather delicious way.
Upon opening this tea, the aroma was very earthy. I did not think I would like this. First sip was not enjoyable. After I added a bit of sugar It reminded me of the tea from our favorite Chinese restaurant. I truly thought this would be a tea that I would just have a few sips and find my cup later still full. Instead Next thing I knew my cup was empty. LOL This tea was very smooth.
I really enjoyed this oolong tea. It has a really wonderful mouthfeel and a smooth flavor. It's not as bold as my favorite oolongs, but it's definitely excellent. I was able to get three excellent steeps out of it, and I suspect that it would have held up well to additional steeps. (1st steep: 2 min @ 195ºF, 2nd and 3rd steeps: 3 min @ 195ºF)
I really enjoy oolong tea when I'm in the mood for something light and calming, and this one was really great. Very delicate and smooth. It was a pale golden color, and had a mellow floral scent and flavor. There was more than plenty in my CommuniTEA packet, so I divided it into two portions and sipped this tea all day long, steeping each portion multiple times. A little of this tea goes a long way, it seems like a tiny amount when you pour it out of the packet, but the leaves unfurl to be quite large (which was fun to watch). I will be adding this to tea cabinet. (reviewed through CommuniTEA; 1st steep 2 min @ 195F; 2nd /3rd steep 3 min @ 195F)
This tea was lovely. It had a nice floral flavor. It reminded me of a jasmin tea. I would definitely buy again
This tea is lovely! The aroma is slightly sweet florals, a little bit earthy, a little bit honey. Likewise for taste. It has a smooth, almost creamy mouthfeel with a slightly dry, very slightly tea astringent finish. It's delicate, but complex? The second steep was a little more green/vegetal, still floral, but less sweetness. Still lovely, but I much preferred the first steep. Would absolutely drink again!
I did not enjoy it at first. However, it had an odd flowery taste that kept peaking my curiosity. I wouldn’t purchase it again, but I wouldn’t turn down a cup either.
Strong fragrance with an ok strength. Green and oolong are up my alley so not much complaints (CommuniTea)
I enjoy black and fruit/herbal tea the best, although I occasionally also enjoy the odd oolong, white, or green tea. To be honest I only drank this one because it was in the CommuniTea today (Dec 6, 2020). I loved it. I was able to make and enjoy a full 40oz from my single packet which usually goes for 16-30oz. The flavor is naturally light and floral. And it is adequately smooth and sweet on its own to be enjoyable without additives (unless you want to, of course).
