Oolongs are my favorite of the 6 tea types as there is such a range and variety within them. Golden Flower is a sweet, gentle low-oxidized oolong that is a wonderful sip when looking for something on the light, floral end of the spectrum. Anxi Oolongs are great, and this one is no exception. Smooth, creamy, floral, and just a wonderful sip.

This is a really lovely oolong! It has a sweet, honeysuckle taste and aroma. It is so smooth and there is no astringency.

Smooth, lightly floral, kinda green, this oolong might be a contender for my new favorite! Big unfurling leaves are impressive and delicious!

Updated from 9/16/22: It's a tad earthy/'green'-tasting but has a nice, lifted note from a touch of floral character. It's not a tea I would gravitate to, but it was pleasant enough. I just probably wouldn't seek this one out of my own volition.

This Golden Flower Oolong was good even tho my CT packet was filled with a surprisingly high ratio of tea dust. I ended up sorting out and tossing atleast a half teaspoon worth of tea dust. I gongfu brewed this and got six lovely, infusions of a floral , buttery flavors. 185f, 30sec

I love oolongs because they carry so much flavor. This has a beautiful flowery flavor that is smooth without ant bitter or smoky notes. Great first morning cup to ease into the day. Indulgent tasting.

Lovely light delicate green oolong . A sweet lightly floral flavor with smooth mouthfeel. Really enjoying this tea.

Another oolong that mimics a green tea by sight and smell. However, once brewed, this is unmistakably oolong. There is a smoothness and richness, zero bitterness. The taste of honeysuckle is light; just a whisper of floral. This is so good, definitely worthy of two cups!

In the bag: Tightly curled, brittle leaves of tea. Most are dark green, but some range in color to light green.

On the nose (pre-steep): As with most oolongs, the smell of wet wood.

On the nose (post-steep): The pre-steep scent has carried forward, but now has floral hints in the background. Slightly cloying nose feel.

On the tongue: Soft vegetal flavor with a woody accent. No bitterness or sweetness.

Opinion: A good representation of oolongs, but a bit plain for my tastes.

Preparation: First steep 3 min, second steep 6 min. Both @ 195 ℉. No sweetener.

First smell, earthy, slightly floral, slightly umami sea kelp
First sight: Nicely rolled leaves, some broke into dust.
First taste, hot, the umami was strong with some honeysuckle undertones which gave me hope for a drinkable tea upon cooling.

I added sweetener and allowed it to come to room temperature. The sweetener brought out the honeysuckle flavors and toned down the umami flavors. Slight dry finish. Quite an enjoyable cup, though not my favorite.

I really like this tea. It has a lovely subtle flavor and I’m ordering more as I plan to have it as my go to staple from now on. I really prefer oolongs over green tea, and this is a new favorite.

This is a beautiful oolong that delivers earthy, floral, and even creamy notes. A lighter oolong with great aromatics that create different notes with each additional steep.

I’m new to tea so pardon my take… it was vegetal/grassy but different than green teas in a way, touch of sweetness, also slightly floral flavor, not a daily drinker. Good flavor after 3 steeps

A delightful cup with a sweet nose and taste. Perfect for a few infusions. Floral and aromatic!

This is an oolong reminiscent of milk oolong but way cheaper for large orders.
It's partially sweet like ti kwan yin, yet this is on par with the more lavish teas you can order

My absolute favorite. Only a small teaspoon will brew up a large mug of this great tasting tea. Highly recommend!

This is my new favorite oolong! I am generally a fan of the milk Oolong, but I discovered the Golden Flower in the oolong sampler. The milky taste and the ability to get multiple excellent steeps from this has made it my perfect new go to tea!

Such a complex and unique flavor that I am having difficulty describing it. Vegetal, but not in a grassy way like some green teas are. And there's some lush fruity notes at the back, I want to say raisin or prune. Also a note of something floral and almost a bit minty.

It definitely has far too much character for a daily cup. This is a tea to treat yourself with when you have some time to really appreciate its depth.

Candy and sweet flowers. Honeysuckle..white flowers and candy on the finish. Gongfu brewed 15 seconds increasing time as specified. A good 5 grams tea. ( greedy me) . Multiple infusions. Lovely. End of bag a bit dusty , but flavor grand. Just ordered more.

A great hybrid green/oolong. The best value I've found so far for a amazing daily driver. One of my favorite oolongs I have.

Excellent, subtle flavor. I made the mistake of pressing the Green Tea button on my Velocitea and didn't think I liked this but then saw the the package recommended 195 degrees, brewed my next try at that and enjoyed it very much.

This tea delivers for having a creamy finish. I'm not sure that this is something I prefer after trying it a few times, but if you like that finish, this tea is for you.

If you are expecting this tea to taste like it smells you might be a bit disappointed. The dried leaves do have a floral aroma but when brewed its much weaker. Overall I would still recommend this one given the lower price per cup compared to the other popular oolong teas here.

Pleasant and subtle vegetal, earthy flavors. This is one tea I would prefer to drink by itself. It's not as complex in flavor as Jade Oolong or Fujian Orchid, but it is a nice, relaxing tea.

Light, bright, clean, but distinctly oolong still. It goes down like silk, smooth and refreshing. It's honestly hard to stop drinking it.

My favorite tea from my most recent order, golden flower tea quickly unfurl into rather full leaves and steep of lovely yellow toned tea with subtle warm flavors that are well balanced and can steep multiple times or sit for an extended period making it less temperamental than a full blown white or green tea.

It's got a subtle-tea to it. Lives up to its name. It's quite mainly floral with a little honeysuckle taste it mentions in the description. Definitely use a little more leaves if you like it strong due to its lighter taste. Can be a little astringent and dry if you over do the steeping.

An amazingly fresh mid-morning tea. I usually have this as a pick me up after breakfast because its light and refreshing, but retains a nutty, almost savory note to keep it interesting and mellow until lunch time.

The leaves expand quite a bit. Has a fresh, mineral taste with a subtle honey sweetness. It's lightly floral and has a slight creaminess that fades after the second steep. It's fairly mild, but still a nice tea to sip and think on. Good for multiple steeps and needs no sugar or cream.

This is an enjoyable oolong. It has a delicate vegetal / floral flavor. The caffeine content is a little low though so look out if you drink tea for stimulant effects

I can taste the floral notes and creaminess. It is very good. 4.5 stars if I could. It doesn't have the sweetness of ti kuan yin.

Today's packet contained tightly rolled verdantly green oolong tea leaves, with a nice dry vegetal aroma. A 3 minute steep at 195°F produced a translucent bright yellow-green tea. The leaves unfurled nicely as they steeped.

The flavor was slightly crisp and dry, yet with a smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Much like a milk oolong, the smoothness complemented the oolong tea's vegetal notes. Some subtle floral and mineral flavors were present throughout.

Overall, a very excellent and enjoyable low-oxidation oolong!

I loved watching the lovely green tea leaves unfurl...rolled teas are just fun to steep! I'm not usually a big fan of green tea because the taste is so light, but this one is very good. I noticed mineral and light floral notes and a nice sweet creamy background taste. Quite nice! I got 3 steeps from my packet. Very enjoyable tea!
9/16/2022 - I still love this oolong. It's fun to watch it unfurl as it brews...multiple steeps...lovely blend of flavors and nice aroma. What's not to love? :) Definitely a mainstay in my tea stash!
