Brewed this for some gongfu practice, very nice, floral.

★★★★★

This is certainly an unforgettable tea. From the way the pellets unfurl with each new steep to the exaggerated floral notes, Fujian Orchid is the perfect tea for anybody who enjoys a good oolong.

Was shocked to like this tea as much as I did. The ability to be brewed multiple times helps its case of course, but the taste is very pleasant. Any worries as to it being too floral (as per the name) should be discarded. It smooths out wonderfully.

★★★☆☆

We initially bought a sample of this and found it to be enjoyable; slightly floral aroma and somewhat viscous mouth-feel. We have bought this for the second time. Compared to other favorite teas I find this lacking, but the price is good.

This tea represents a best-of confluence of green teas, oolong teas, and floral teas. The brightness of the green tea is present without the astringency. Complexity without heaviness. Floral without being too perfumed. It is a beautifully soft and balanced cup.

Ok I’m weird. I’m a musician and sometimes a taste or scent triggers a sound in my head. When I breathed in this steeping cup, all I could think of was the sound of a clear tinkling bell. It was a lovely moment. The scent and taste are gentle but so distinctly unique I’ll definitely order more. Light floral, not overpowering at all. Did not get bitter, in fact makes beautiful iced tea! I was amazed, I got 5 steepings from this.
Adding another to my faves list!

★★★★☆

Very diverse flavors but it is quite a light tea.

★★★★★

Delicate and floral but not too flowery. Smells like a garden on a fresh, rainy day. Delicious and satisfying.

I'm gonna be honest, I could not finish even a cup of this tea, maybe it just wasn't my thing.

★★★★★

Very light and floral. This is the perfect spring tea. The leaves unfurl beautifully. Very smooth and pleasant drinking experience.

I'm a big fan of Fujian Rain so I had to try this, it did not dissapoint!

★★★☆☆

Nice floral aroma, but not much to offer after that.

★★★★☆

Light oxidized oolong with spring floral notes. Very nice and delicate.

★★★☆☆

This was not nearly as strong as I would have liked it to be.

Lightly floral with hints of green to the taste. This is a very pleasant oolong at a very reasonable price point and is perfect for any time of day.

★★★★☆

Very floral oolong. The leaves stayed strong after more than one brew.

Dry tea smells faintly sweet and floral. The small green rolled oolong tea expands a lot during brewing, so be sure that there is room in your infusion vessel for expansion. First infusion was for 3 minutes, and the leaves were almost completely unfurled at the end. Brewed tea is a golden green color due to the low oxidation of the leaves. The tea has a slight toasty scent to it, like a genmaicha. When hot, there are some toasted notes to the oolong that is slightly floral. The finish lingers in a pleasant way. As the tea cools, the tea becomes sweet and almost juicy, but still light and delicate. There is a pleasant mouthfeel as well, with the same pleasant finish. There is almost a lychee-like flavor note that makes the tea sweet. Second infusion was for 4 minutes: the leaves have completely unfurled, and the tea looks the same as the first infusion. The flavors were a bit more muted, still delicate and but without the toasted aroma and flavor. It still has the same sweet notes and some underlying floral notes that is reminiscent of honeysuckle. Third infusion was very similar to the second, although slightly more delicate.

Brewed at 205 for 3 minutes first infusion, 4 minutes second infusion, 5 minutes third infusion.

Perfect to add a little flavor boost mixed with some more floral whites and greens.

This tea is so smooth, it s similar to ti kuan yin but lighter I feel. I d really recommend this.

★★★★★

A lovely light oolong that is also quite forgiving -- if you steep a little longer than you meant to, it doesn't get bitter or astringent. As the name suggests, significant floral notes. Good for several steeps.

I bought this because even Adagio seemed impressed with themselves on this one, and they were right. It tastes like a high-end oolong for an everyday-tea price. It's so fragrant and smooth, I can almost conjure the taste of it just by thinking about it. I've just come back to buy another bag so I can make sure I stay stocked up.

A delightful, floral oolong. The tightly rolled leaves make a wonderful display as they unfurl, filling the pot. A light green-gold liquor results. It's nicely aromatic of flowers with a very smooth, delicate and lightly green taste. Clean finish and very refreshing. One of my favorites!

I didn't get this tea at all. May be because I purchased a sample and the tea in the bags wasnt fresh. Tasted like a very weak green tea. Looked completely green

This tea is incredibly smooth with a fragrant flavor. Usually I'm not a fan of fragrant teas like Jasmin, but this one easily made my favorites list.

Excellent oolong with lighter flavor. This is a good option for green tea drinkers who wish to try a oolong tea.

This would be great for a fan of really floral teas, but was a bit too perfumy for my personal taste

★★★★☆

Oolongs are my favorite type of tea but I wasn't as into this one. The light floral notes are reminiscent of jasmine which I do not like. It was light and not super overpowering and balanced otherwise.

Fujian Orchid is an excellent tea. This oolong tea is very relaxing with subtle flavors that make it an excellent tea to have after a meal. Very refreshing and well balanced...

★★★★☆

Pretty decent, lightly oxidized oolong tea. It is tightly rolled from the appearance of the dry leaves, though they do unfurl a bit faster than other tightly rolled oolongs I have had. this tea will fill up a bit of your gaiwan, infusion, or whatever you're brewing it in. There is a strong floral aroma straight out of the bag, but the tea itself is not quite as strong. I brewed 6 g of tea gong fu style starting at 195 deg F (with a quick rinse before really infusing) for this review.

1st Infusion (25 s): Golden yellow color with a floral aroma - it is not one particular type of flower (like jasmine) but more of a mixture of flowers. There is so some thickness in the mouth and a touch of sweetness. A hint of vegetal or grassy flavor in the background. The wet leaves smell equally as floral and a bit earthy.

2nd infusion (35 s): the color is more of a deeper yellow at this point, and the tea itself is starting to assert itself over the floral notes with increasing thickness. Definite sweetness and grassy notes with some astringency. The finish is longer but ends more on a bitter note. Floral notes linger, as well. Noticeably more tea debris on this infusion. Tea leaves are pretty much completely unfurled at this point.

3rd infusion (45 s): second infusion is definitely the high point - the floral notes are starting to abate but they are still there. There is noticeably more astringency and bitterness, but I think that's more because some of the other flavors and aromas are lessened by this point. Less sweetness. Some notes of honey are present initially. Color is a touch more yellow

4th infusion (55 s): astringency is becoming the prominent note, but it is not unpleasant (not like an overbrewed green tea). Still a little bit of floral character present, but the sweetness that was present in earlier infusion is gone. Not unpleasant to me. I can, however, see some people not liking the tea by this point. Thick mouthfeel is still there.

5th infusion (65 s @ 212 deg F): more of a light amber color. More astringency. There are only memories of where it began at this point.

All in all, this is a good value for a lightly oxidzied oolong (especially for the price). It is worth of resteeping at least twice. It is floral, but not at the level of a scented tea. No roasted or fruity flavors as in other oolongs. This makes a good cold brewed tea, too! (~7 g of leaves in about 600 mL of water).

This was amazing. I loved the taste and aroma. My boyfriend who was born with a basically nonexistent sense of smell was able to smell this and has also become obsessed. Would love if this came in a candle!

Wow, let me tell you, this is not what I was expecting, but wow. Got this from Adagio in CommuniTEA packet as a sample. In general have not had much of Oolong teas before (how limited of me). Had oolong few times and did not like it, and what unjustice that has done, because when I drank this tea, I feel like I enter a tea wonderland. A perfect blend of flora and green and darker creamy black tea (but not), blended into a magic cup of unforgettable Oolong. wow. This is now one of my favorite teas.

This is a definite favorite of mine. It has a lovely, delicate floral flavor, and steeps pale golden. My normal preference is flavored teas, or plain teas with milk or honey , but this one is so subtle and pleasant that I take it with just a touch of sugar.

★★★★☆

I noted a mild grassy aroma as I opened my CommuniTEA packet. This had me a little worried as I hate grassiness in my tea. I watched the leaves unfurl and decided to make a Snapchat video to send to friends. It's was so fun to watch! After a 3 min steep at 180 degrees I sipped and noted the grassiness but it was very mild and I noted a buttery soft mouthfeel that made me want to keep sipping. There was no time for additions as I had almost finished the cup before the thought of even trying that. The second brew was not grassy at all but still buttery. Being such a light cup of tea, honey just seemed too heavy and I was not convinced rock sugar would even fully dissolve in the now tepid tea. I added ~ 1/8 tsp of Monkfruit just to bring out the floral notes. Overall I enjoyed the second cup much more than the first and I would drink this tea again if offered, but I do not plan to add this to my stash.

Tried this tea as part of a communiTEA subscription. Nice tea. I have not tasted many oolongs. Out of the ones I have tasted, this one is more on the unoxidised green side. Unlike green teas, which I do not enjoy, the green notes come across more as blossoms or peaches.

When I opened the packet the tea had a dry hay scent. The little rolled tea pellets expanded so quickly, & so much, I’m glad I went for my large steeper. If all you have is a tea ball, you’re better off just letting it steep directly in the cup then straining - this tea needs space to grow. The taste and smell after steeping was very floral. The flavor held strong for 2 steeps, & probably would’ve done for a third, but floral isn’t my favorite flavor note so I stopped at 2.

A lovely oolong with a taste of a smooth green tea. Delightful to watch the tea unfurl. Tastes good without sweetener, or a tiny drop of honey. I was able to steep three times.

I loved watching the leaves unfurl.!
I know an Oolong is considered between a black and a green tea. I would say this Oolong leans towards the green side more. But not in a negative way. I thought this was light and enjoyable. I was even able to drink without Sugar and if you know anything about me. Everything needs sugar!! LOL

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this one today. Brewed at 180°F for 3 minutes as instructed, the leaves unfurled while bathing in the water. I think I'll have a second cup with a second steep!
