I purchased 3 different adagio Oolongs looking for my summer iced tea staple. This one was fine iced, but better hot. It reminds me of the type of Oolong that is served with dim sum, not the highest quality, but a good work horse tea, just what you want to cut threw a more savory breakfast.

Finding an oolong that I actually enjoy and will drink more than one cup of is tough for me. This one checks the boxes. It is not quite as sweet as I was thinking it would be but that is not a bad thing. I found that a wee bit of maple syrup is a nice compliment but the flavor is a little bit on the delicate side for me, so too much sweetener will overwhelm it.

floral and subtle sweet I do love oolong so much I did restocked few of this to include on my daily drinks

Wow this oolong has a unique flavor and color. The smell before steeping was mineral malty. The flavor itself is hard to describe but it is full bodied, smooth, and malty. The color is like a nice chestnut brown. I would describe this as a dark oolong or similar to a oolong black tea mix. I liked this in all forms but with a bit of sweetener and milk it tastes almost exactly to one of the boba milk teas I get all the time.

Formosa Oolong isn’t a bad tea but for me it’s not enough to buy it again

This tea was not the tea for me. I normally love oolong, but this one fell short for me. The flavor was very murky and grassy for me. I actually like grassy green tea's, but the murky taste killed it for me. 🥺

Wow! This is a very unique Oolong...one that I will continue to order. The flavor to me, is very dark, intense, deep, and malty...almost like chocolate. Absolutlely five stars with me; I love it!

Any tea that evolves over multiple steepings is a win for me, and the formosa oolong is no exception.

This is so earthy and grassy, it is currently my favorite non-flavored tea, but I specifically like it for rainy days. Something about it is so early-spring-rain-feeling.

Great taste. Highly recommend. Pleasant fragrance.

It smells so good and so delicious. It has a malty toasty flavor and smell, and I sweetened it with some brown sugar (like two spoons for a 24oz/700 ish ml cup). Very tasty I like it very much

We first had a sample size bag of Formosa Oolong that I obtained via a Card. Immediately we put it on the 'Buy' list. This tea has a complex character. Rich and full-bodied, smooth and woodsy. There is a slight pleasant astringency on the finish. It is now on our tea cupboard staple list.

This is my husband's favorite tea. Not too strong, but can be steeped multiple times. Each subsequent steep brings out a different flavor profile.

Pretty good! A little too nutty for me, but that’s what I was getting into. Would recommend!

I still need to work on this one. I let it steep a little too long. I want to give it another try, but with that being said it was still a good tea.

Very smooth, very woodsy. A perfect companion for hiking and camping the off-beaten path, or even a rainy day indoors. Not the best, but certainly not the worst.

Not what I expected from an oolong. This tea has sweeter, fruit notes, with just a touch of bitter. It makes for an interesting cup!

Wonderfully smooth. I love all the Oolong teas and drink them often. I brewed at 190 since I don't have a 195 setting and brewed for 4 minutes. It was perfectly delish.

Very warm, woodsy, toasty. I don't get any sweetness from it, but it's certainly not an unpleasant experience.

For oolong novices wanting to get into a fascinating variety of tea, this is a pretty good place to start. A relatively straightforward oolong with a roasted taste and slightly fruity undertone. Hard to mess this tea up, very forgiving. Steep it long, steep it short . Got two to three good steepings out of this one. Solid tea great bang for your hard earned dollar.

Adagio sent me a sample of this as part of their CommuniTea sampler and I was HOOKED. It's good with a touch of lemon and sugar, but I prefer it with nothing added. It's so smooth and pleasant. Definitely in my top 5 teas.

Definitely not a very high quality oolong. The roasted flavor is kind of harsh and heavy, with not much more to it. I would venture to not call this a lovely introduction to Taiwanese tea, which is usually lighter on the roasting.

This is a classic oolong tea with mineral notes that hit hard on the first steep. I find that the second steep is more pleasing to my pallet.

This tea is not for me. Too much of that leafy-earthy taste! I absolutely hate it so it’s not for me.

CommuniTEA portion: 195 brew for 3 minutes. Nice rich sip that was somehow slightly floral and malty? Enjoyable!

This is a very nice toasty barky oolong with a dry/slight astringent aftertaste. With the second steep I sprinkled a touch of sugar and it brought out the previously hidden apricot flavors. Very interesting steep

This one had a woodsy earthy flavor once brewed, which seemed to match the aroma I got when opening the packet. The flavor was decent but it is definitely an acquired taste.

This was a nice straight tea. It had a good flavour and had good body in the cup. I enjoyed it. 195 for 3 minutes.

This is a really good, rich, black oolong tea that can be steeped 3 times and has a woodsy, earthy flavor. I have tried it with a little bit of honey and by itself with no sweetener and I like it both ways! I steeped at 200 degrees for 2-1/2 minutes the first time and then 3 minutes for the next two steeps.

This highly oxidized Taiwanese oolong is simply wonderful. It has a deep earthy minerality to it that holds up beautifully over multiple infusions, especially when brewing gongfu style. It's a lovely way to start an early morning with peace and tranquility in a cup.

This is a pretty nice, smooth cup of tea and the flavors blend well together. My only reason for a 4-star rating is that I’m not as fond of oolongs and I prefer a heartier black tea.

Really good tea! I'm new to the tea world, and the only other Oolong tea I've had is Milk Oolong. I don't enjoy this one as much as Milk Oolong, but it's also a very different flavor. I don't know if 'woodsy' makes sense, but that's the word that comes immediately to mind when I try to explain how this tastes to me.
★★★★☆
A deep oolong that's a lot richer in flavour than others I've tried. It's got a dry, but not lacking, note - like a raisin, with a hint of malt. Not necessarily chocolate-ey, but there's a subtle sweetness that gets a little more brazen on each resteep. There's also a contrasting mineral taste to it on the back of each sip.

This is dark, smoky, and looks like a black tea (pieces not rolled leaves). I have alot of oolongs that are green and unfurl during multiple steeps. A different take on my normal oolongs and a treat to try.

It has such a toasty, nutty fragrance that I was surprised by how strong the fruit notes were when I actually took a sip. The description isn't kidding, it really does taste like raisins. Bold, complex, unusual, and delicious!

Complex tea flavors. A hint of muskiness. Reminds me of the Chinese restaurant tea of my youth.

This was a new variety of oolong for me - it was interesting. Almost smelled fermented and reminded me just a tad of a lapsong souchong, but not as smoky/peaty. But it was very earthy and savory, which I had no problems with. I wish I had read the other reviews before drinking so I would have thought to try a second steep! Next time!

I am still newer to oolong tea, but I haven’t found one yet that I didn’t like. This version is flavorful and the astringency is not overwhelming.
